بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ قُلْتَ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ
allāhumma innaka qulta fī kitābikal munzal
O Allah, You have said in Your revealed Book
2
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيْ أُنزِلَ فِيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ
shahru ramaḍānal ladhī unzila fīhil qur-ān
The month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed
3
وَهَذَا شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ
wahadhā shahru ramaḍān
And this is the month of Ramadan
4
وَقَدْ تَصَرَّمَ
waqad taṣarram
And it has passed away
5
فَاَسْاَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ
fa-asaluka biwajhikal karīm
So I ask You by Your noble countenance
6
وَكَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّةِ
wakalimātikat tāmmah
And by Your perfect words
7
اِنْ كَانَ بَقِيَ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ لَمْ تَغْفِرْهُ لِي
in kāna baqiya `alayya dhanbun lam taghfir-hu lī
If there remains any sin for which You have not forgiven me
8
اَوْ تُرِيدُ اَنْ تُعَذِّبَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ
aw turīdu an tu`adhhibanī `alayh
Or You intend to punish me for it
9
اَوْ تُقَايِسَنِيْ بِهِ
aw tuqāyisanī bih
Or to hold me accountable for it
10
اَنْ لَا يَطْلُعَ فَجْرُ هٰذِهِ اللَيْلَةِ
an lā yaṭlu`a fajru hādhihil laylah
That the dawn of this night should not break
11
اَوْ يَتَصَرَّمَ هٰذَا الشَّهْرُ
aw yataṣarrama hādhash shahr
Nor should this month come to an end
12
إِلَّا وَقَدْ غَفَرْتَهُ لِي
illā waqad ghafar-tahu lī
Except that You have forgiven it for me
13
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful ones
14
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ بِمَحَامِدِكَ كُلِّهَا
allāhumma lakal ḥamdu bimaḥāmidika kullihā
O Allah, praise be to You with all Your praises
15
أَوَّلِهَا وَ آخِرِهَا
awwalihā wa ākhirihā
The first of them and the last of them
16
مَا قُلْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ مِنْهَا
mā qulta linafsika minhā
Those You have attributed to Yourself
17
وَمَا قَالَ الْخَلائِقُ الْحَامِدُونَ
wamā qālal khalā-iqul ḥāmidūn
And those that praising creatures have said
18
اَلْمُجْتَهِدُوْنَ الْمَعْدُودُونَ
al mujtahidūnal ma`dūdūn
The diligent ones, the counted ones
19
اَلْمُوَفَّرُونَ ذِكْرَكَ
al muwaffarūna dhikrak
Those who abundantly remember You
20
وَالشُّكْرَكَ لَكَ
wash shukraka lak
And express gratitude to You
21
اَلَّذِيْنَ أَعَنْتَهُمْ عَلَى أَدَاءِ حَقِّكَ
al ladhīna a`antahum `alā adā-i ḥaqqik
Those whom You have helped to fulfill Your rights
22
مِنْ أَصْنَافِ خَلْقِكَ
min aṣnāfi khalqik
From among the varieties of Your creation
23
مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ
minal malā-ikatil muqarrabīn
From the closest angels
24
وَالنَّبِيِّيْنَ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ
wan nabiyyīna walmur-salīn
And the prophets and messengers
25
وَأَصْنَافِ النَّاطِقِيْنَ
wa-aṣnāfin nāṭiqīn
And all types of those who speak
26
وَالْمُسَبِّحِيْنَ لَكَ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
walmusabbiḥīna laka min jamī`il `ālamīn
And those who glorify You from all the worlds
27
عَلَى أَنَّكَ بَلَّغْتَنَا شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ
`alā annaka ballaghtanā shahra ramaḍān
For You have caused us to reach the month of Ramadan
28
وَعَلَيْنَا مِنْ نِعَمِكَ
wa`alaynā min ni`amik
While we have from Your blessings
29
وَعِنْدَنَا مِنْ قِسَمِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ
wa`indanā min qisamika wa-iḥsānik
And we have from Your portions and Your kindness
30
وَتَظَاهُرِ امْتِنَانِكَ
wataẓāhurimtinānik
And the manifestation of Your favors
31
فَبِذَالِكَ لَكَ مُنْتَهَى الْحَمْدِ
fabidhālika laka muntahal ḥamd
For that, to You belongs the utmost praise
32
اَلْخَالِدِ الدَّآئِمِ
al khālidid dā-im
The eternal, the everlasting
33
اَلرَّاكِدِ الْمُخَلِّدِ السَّرْمَدِ
ar rākidil mukhallidis sar-mad
The constant, the immortal, the perpetual
34
اَلَّذِيْ لَا يَنْفَدُ طُوْلَ الْاَبَدِ
al ladhī lā yanfadu ṭūlal abad
That which will never end throughout eternity
35
جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
jalla thana-uk
Great is Your praise
36
أَعَنْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ حَتّىٰ قَضَيْتَ عَنَّا صِيَامَهُ وَقِيَامَهُ
a`antanā `alayhi ḥattā qaḍayta `annā ṣiyāmahu waqiyāmah
You have helped us in it until You fulfilled for us its fasting and its standing
37
مِنْ صَلاَةٍ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَّا فِيْهِ مِنْ بِرٍّ
min ṣalātin wamā kāna minnā fīhi min birr
From prayer and whatever righteous acts we performed in it
38
اَوْ شُكْرٍ اَوْ ذِكْرٍ
aw shukrin aw dhikr
Or gratitude or remembrance
39
اَللَّهُمَّ فَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنَّا بِأَحْسَنِ قَبُولِكَ
allāhumma fataqabbalhu minnā bi-aḥsani qabūlik
O Allah, accept it from us with Your best acceptance
40
وَتَجَاوُزِكَ وَعَفْوِكَ
watajāwuzika wa`afwik
And Your overlooking and Your pardon
41
وَصَفْحِكَ وَغُفْرَانِكَ
waṣafḥika waghufrānik
And Your forgiveness and Your amnesty
42
وَحَقِيْقَةِ رِضْوَانِكَ
waḥaqīqati riḍwānik
And the reality of Your pleasure
43
حَتّىٰ تُظَفِّرَنَا فِيْهِ بِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ مَطْلُوْبٍ
ḥattā tuẓaffiranā fīhi bikulli khayrin maṭlūb
Until You grant us success in it with every sought-after good
44
وَجَزِيْلِ عَطَاءٍ مَوْهُوْبٍ
wajazīli `aṭā-in mawhūb
And abundant, gifted bounty
45
وَتُوْقِيْنَا فِيْهِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَرْهُوْبٍ
watūqīnā fīhi min kulli mar-hūb
And protect us in it from everything fearful
46
اَوْ بَلاَءٍ مَجْلُوْبٍ
aw balā-in majlūb
Or affliction brought forth
47
اَوْ ذَنْبٍ مَكْسُوْبٍ
aw dhanbin maksūb
Or sin committed
48
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّ أَسْئَلُكَ بِعَظيْمِ مَا سَأَلَكَ بِهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
allāhumma inni as-aluka bi`aẓymi mā sa-alaka bihi aḥadun min khalqik
O Allah, I ask You by the greatness with which any of Your creation has asked You
49
مِنْ كَرِيْمِ أَسْمَائِكَ
min karīmi asmā-ik
By Your noble names
50
وَجَمِيْلِ ثَنَائِكَ
wajamīli thanā-ik
And Your beautiful praise
51
وَخَاصَّةِ دُعَائِكَ
wakhāṣṣati du`ā-ik
And Your special supplications
52
اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
That You bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
53
وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ شَهْرَنَا هٰذَا أَعْظَمَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ مَرَّ عَلَيْنَا
wa-an taj`ala shahranā hādhā a`ẓama shahri ramaḍāna marra `alaynā
And that You make this month of ours the greatest month of Ramadan that has passed over us
54
مُنْذُ أَنْزَلْتَنَا إِلَى الدُّنْيَا بَرَكَةً
mundhu anzaltanā ilad dunyā barakah
Since You brought us into this world, in blessings
55
فِيْ عِصْمَةِ دِيْنِي
fī `iṣmati dīnī
In the protection of my religion
56
وَخَلاَصِ نَفْسِي
wakhalāṣi nafsī
And the salvation of my soul
57
وَقَضَاءِ حَوَآئِجِي
waqaḍā-i ḥawā-ijī
And the fulfillment of my needs
58
وَتُشَفِّعَنِيْ فِيْ مَسَآئِلِي
watushaffi`anī fī masā-ilī
And accept my intercession in my requests
59
وَتَمَامِ النِّعْمَةِ عَلَيَّ
watamāmin ni`mati `alayy
And complete Your favor upon me
60
وَصَرْفِ السُّوْءِ عَنِّيْ
waṣar-fis sū-i `annī
And turn away evil from me
61
وَلِبَاسِ الْعَافِيَةِ لِيْ فِيْهِ
walibāsil `āfiyati lī fīh
And clothe me with well-being in it
62
وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِمَّنْ اَدْخَرْتَ لَهُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ
wa-an taj`alanī biraḥmatika mimman adkhar-ta lahu laylatal qadr
And make me, by Your mercy, among those for whom You have reserved the Night of Power
63
وَجَعَلْتَهَا لَهُ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
waja`altahā lahu khayran min alfi shahr
And made it for them better than a thousand months
64
فِيْ أَعْظَمِ الْأَجْرِ
fī a`ẓamil ajr
In the greatest reward
65
وَكَرَائِمِ الذُّخْرِ
wakarā-imidh dhukhr
And precious treasures
66
وَحُسْنِ الشُّكْرِ
waḥusnish shukr
And beautiful gratitude
67
وَطُوْلِ العُمْرِ
waṭūlil `umr
And long life
68
وَدَوَامِ الْيُسْرِ
wadawāmil yusr
And lasting ease
69
اَللَّهُمَّ وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَطَوْلِكَ
allāhumma wa-as-aluka biraḥmatika waṭawlik
O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy and Your favor
70
وَعَفْوِكَ وَنَعْمَائِكَ
wa`afwika wana`mā-ik
And Your pardon and Your blessings
71
وَجَلاَلِكَ وَقَدِيْمِ إِحْسَانِكَ وَامْتِنَانِكَ
wajalālika waqadīmi iḥsānika wamtinānik
And Your majesty and Your ancient kindness and favors
72
اَنْ لَا تَجْعَلَهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنَّا لِشَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
an lā taj`alahu-ākhiral `ahdi minnā lishahri ramaḍān
That You do not make this our last experience of the month of Ramadan
73
حَتَّى تُبَلِّغَنَاهُ مِنْ قَابِلٍ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ حَالٍ
ḥattā tuballighanāhu min qābilin `alā aḥsani ḥāl
Until You cause us to reach it next year in the best condition
74
وَتُعَرِّفَنِيْ هِلاَلَهُ مَعَ النَّاظِرِيْنَ إِلَيْهِ وَالْمُعْتَرِفِيْنَ لَهُ
watu`arrifanī hilālahu ma`an nāẓirīna ilayhi walmu`tarifīna lah
And show me its crescent moon with those who look at it and recognize it
75
فِيْ أَعْفىٰ عَافِيَتِكَ
fī a`fā `āfiyatik
In the most complete of Your well-being
76
وَاَنْعَمِ نِعْمَتِكَ
wa-an`ami ni`matik
And the most pleasant of Your blessings
77
وَاَوْسَعِ رَحْمَتِكَ
wa-awsa`i raḥmatik
And the most extensive of Your mercy
78
وَأَجْزَلِ قِسَمِكَ
wa-ajzali qisamik
And the most abundant of Your portions
79
يَا رَبِّيَ الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ لِيْ رَبٌّ غَيْرُهُ
yā rabbiyal ladhī laysa lī rabbun ghayruh
O my Lord, besides whom there is no Lord for me
80
لَا يَكُوْنُ هٰذَا الْوِدَاعُ مِنِّيْ لَهُ وِدَاعَ فَنَاءٍ
lā yakūnu hādhal widā`u minnī lahu widā`a fana
Let not this farewell of mine to it be a farewell of extinction
81
وَلَا آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنِّيْ لِلِقَاءِ
walā-ākhiral `ahdi minnī liliqā
Nor the last of my encounters with it
82
حَتّىٰ تُرِيَنِيْهِ مِنْ قَابِلٍ فِيْ اَوْسَعِ النِّعَمِ وَأَفْضَلِ الرَّجَاءِ
ḥattā turiyanīhi min qābilin fī awsa`in ni`ami wa-afḍalir rajā
Until You show it to me next year with the most expansive blessings and the best hope
83
وَأَنَا لَكَ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ الْوَفَاءِ
wa-ana laka `alā aḥsanil wafā
While I am for You in the best fulfillment
84
إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاءِ
innaka samī`ud du`ā
Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication
85
اَللَّهُمَّ اسْمَعْ دُعَآئِي
allāhummasma` du`ā-ī
O Allah, hear my supplication
86
وَارْحَمْ تَضَرُّعِيْ وَتَذَلُّلِيْ لَكَ
war-ḥam taḍarru`ī watadhallulī lak
And have mercy on my humility and submission to You
87
وَاسْتِكَانَتِيْ وَتَوَكُّلِيْ عَلَيْكَ
wastikānatī watawakkulī `alayk
And my neediness and my reliance upon You
88
وَأَنَا لَكَ مُسَلِّمٌ
wa-ana laka musallim
And I am submitting to You
89
لَا أَرْجُوْ نَجَاحًا وَلَا مُعَافَاةً
lā ar-jū najāḥan walā mu`āfāh
I do not hope for success or well-being
90
وَلَا تَشْرِيْفًا وَلَا تَبْلِيْغًا إِلَّا بِكَ وَمِنْكَ
walā tashrīfan walā tablīghan illā bika wamink
Or honor or attainment except through You and from You
91
وَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ
wamnun `alayy
And bestow Your favor upon me
92
جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
jalla thana-uk
Great is Your praise
93
وَتَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ
wataqaddasat asma-uk
And holy are Your names
94
بِتَبْلِيْغِ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ وَأَنَا مُعَافًا مِنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوْهٍ وَمَحْذُوْرٍ
bitablīghi shahra ramaḍāna wa-ana mu`āfan min kulli makrūhin wamaḥdhūr
By enabling me to reach the month of Ramadan while I am protected from all that is disliked and feared
95
وَمِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْبَوَائِقِ
wamin jamī`il bawā-iq
And from all calamities
96
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِيْ أَعَانَنَا عَلَى صِيَامِ هٰذَا الشَّهْرِ وَقِيَامِهِ
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī a`ānanā `alā ṣiyāmi hādhash shahri waqiyāmih
Praise be to Allah who has helped us to fast and stand in prayer during this month
97
حَتّىٰ بَلَّغَنِيْ آخِرَ لَيْلَةِ مِنْهُ
ḥattā ballaghanī-ākhira laylati minh
Until He has enabled me to reach its last night
