بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
al ḥamdu lillāhi lā sharīka lah
All praise is for Allah who has no partner
2
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَمَا يَنْبَغِيْ لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ
al ḥamdu lillāhi kamā yanbaghī likarami wajhih
All praise is for Allah as befits the generosity of His countenance
3
وَعِزِّ جَلاَلِهِ وَكَمَا هُوَ اهْلُهُ
wa`izzi jalālihi wakamā huwahluh
And the might of His majesty and as He is worthy
4
يَا قُدُّوسُ يَا نُوْرُ
yā quddūsu yā nūr
O Holy One, O Light
5
يَا نُورَ الْقُدْسِ
yā nūral quds
O Light of Holiness
6
يَا سُبُّوحُ يَا مُنْتَهَىٰ التَّسْبِيحِ
yā subbūḥu yā muntahat tasbīḥ
O Glorified One, O Ultimate Goal of all glorification
7
يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا فَاعِلَ الرَّحْمَةِ
yā raḥmānu yā fā`ilar raḥmah
O Most Compassionate, O Doer of mercy
8
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا عَلِيمُ
yā allāhu yā `alīm
O Allah, O All-Knowing
9
يَا كَبِيرُ يَا اَللَّهُ
yā kabīru yā allāh
O Great One, O Allah
10
يَا لَطِيفُ يَا جَلِيلُ
yā laṭīfu yā jalīl
O Subtle One, O Majestic
11
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا سَمِيعُ يَا بَصِيرُ
yā allāhu yā samī`u yā baṣīr
O Allah, O All-Hearing, O All-Seeing
12
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ
yā allāhu yā allāhu yā allāh
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah
13
لَكَ الْاَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ
lakal asmā-ul ḥusnā
To You belong the most beautiful names
14
وَالْاَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا
wal-amthālul `ulyā
And the highest examples
15
وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْآلاَءُ
walkibriyā-u wal-ālā
And greatness and bounties
16
اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-aluka an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
17
وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِيْ السُّعَدَاءِ
wa-an taj`alasmī fī hādhihil laylati fis su`adā
And to make my name, on this night, among the fortunate ones
18
وَرُوحِيْ مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ
warūḥī ma`ash shuhadā
And my soul among the martyrs
19
وَإِحْسَانِيْ فِيْ عِلِّيِّينَ
wa-iḥsānī fī `illiyyīn
And my good deeds in the highest places
20
وَإِسَاءَتِيْ مَغْفُورَةً
wa-isā-atī maghfūrah
And my misdeeds forgiven
21
وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ يَقِينًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي
wa-an tahaba lī yaqīnan tubāshiru bihi qalbī
And to grant me certainty with which my heart will be filled
22
وَإِيـمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي
wa-īmānan yudh-hibush shakka `annī
And faith that removes all doubt from me
23
وَتُرْضِيَنِيْ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
watur-ḍiyanī bimā qasamta lī
And make me pleased with what You have apportioned for me
24
وَ آتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
wa ātinā fid dunyā ḥasanah
And grant us good in this world
25
وَفِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wafil-ākhirati ḥasanah
And good in the Hereafter
26
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيقِ
waqinā `adhāban nāril ḥarīq
And protect us from the burning punishment of the Fire
27
وَارْزُقْنِيْ فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ
war-zuqnī fīhā dhikraka washukraka war raghbata ilayk
And grant me in it Your remembrance, Your gratitude, and desire for You
28
وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ
wal-inābata wat tawfīqa limā waffaqta lahu muḥammadan wa āli muḥammadin `alayhi wa`alayhimus salām
And repentance and success in what You have granted Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them
