بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
يَا مَادَّ الظِّلِّ
yā māddaẓ ẓill
O Extender of the shadow
2
وَلَوْ شِئْتَ لَجَعَلْتَهُ سَاكِنًا
walaw shi-ta laja`altahu sākinā
Had You willed, You could have made it still
3
وَجَعَلْتَ الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيْلًا
waja`altash shamsa `alayhi dalīlā
And You made the sun a guide to it
4
ثُمَّ قَبَضْتَهُ إِلَيْكَ قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا
thumma qabaḍtahu ilayka qabḍan yasīrā
Then You withdraw it to Yourself with an easy withdrawal
5
يَاذَا الْجُودِ وَالطَّوْلِ
yādhal jūdi waṭ ṭawl
O Possessor of generosity and power
6
وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْآلاَءِ
walkibriyā-i wal-ālā
And majesty and bounties
7
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اَنْتَ
lā ilāha illā ant
There is no god but You
8
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ
`ālimul ghaybi wash shahādah
Knower of the unseen and the witnessed
9
اَلرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ
ar raḥmānur raḥīm
The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
10
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اَنْتَ
lā ilāha illā ant
There is no god but You
11
يَا قُدُّوسُ يَا سَلاَمُ
yā quddūsu yā salām
O Holy One, O Peace
12
يَا مُؤْمِنُ يَا مُهَيْمِنُ
yā mu-minu yā muhaymin
O Granter of security, O Guardian
13
يَا عَزِيزُ يَا جَبَّارُ
yā `azīzu yā jabbār
O Mighty, O Compeller
14
يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ يَا اَللَّهُ
yā mutakabbiru yā allāh
O Supreme, O Allah
15
يَا خَالِقُ يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ
yā khāliqu yā bāri-u yā muṣawwir
O Creator, O Maker, O Fashioner
16
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ
yā allāhu yā allāhu yā allāh
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah
17
لَكَ الْاَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ
lakal asmā-ul ḥusnā
To You belong the most beautiful names
18
وَالْاَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا
wal-amthālul `ulyā
And the highest examples
19
وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْآلاَءُ
walkibriyā-u wal-ālā
And the majesty and bounties
20
اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-aluka an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
21
وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِيْ السُّعَدَاءِ
wa-an taj`alasmī fī hādhihil laylati fis su`adā
And to make my name, on this night, among the fortunate
22
وَرُوحِيْ مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ
warūḥī ma`ash shuhadā
And my soul among the martyrs
23
وَإِحْسَانِيْ فِيْ عِلِّيِّينَ
wa-iḥsānī fī `illiyyīn
And my good deeds in the highest places
24
وَإِسَاءَتِيْ مَغْفُورَةً
wa-isā-atī maghfūrah
And my misdeeds forgiven
25
وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ يَقِينًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي
wa-an tahaba lī yaqīnan tubāshiru bihi qalbī
And that You grant me certainty with which my heart is comforted
26
وَإِيـمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي
wa-īmānan yudh-hibush shakka `annī
And faith that removes doubt from me
27
وَتُرْضِيَنِيْ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
watur-ḍiyanī bimā qasamta lī
And make me content with what You have apportioned for me
28
وَ آتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
wa ātinā fid dunyā ḥasanah
And grant us good in this world
29
وَفِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wafil-ākhirati ḥasanah
And good in the Hereafter
30
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيقِ
waqinā `adhāban nāril ḥarīq
And protect us from the punishment of the burning fire
31
وَارْزُقْنِيْ فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ
war-zuqnī fīhā dhikraka washukraka war raghbata ilayk
And grant me in it Your remembrance, gratitude to You, and desire for You
32
وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ
wal-inābata wat tawfīqa limā waffaqta lahu muḥammadan wa āli muḥammadin `alayhi wa`alayhimus salām
And repentance and success in what You granted success to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them
