بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْء
allāhumma innī as-aluka biraḥmatikal latī wasi`at kulla shay
O Allah, I beseech You by Your mercy which encompasses all things
2
وَبِقُوَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ قَهَرْتَ بِهَا كُلَّ شَيْء
wabiquwwatikal latī qahar-ta bihā kulla shay
And by Your power by which You subdued all things
3
وَخَضَعَ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْء
wakhaḍa`a lahā kullu shay
And to which all things submitted
4
وَذَلَّ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْء
wadhalla lahā kullu shay
And to which all things yielded
5
وَبِجَبَرُوتِكَ الَّتِيْ غَلَبْتَ بِهَا كُلَّ شَيْء
wabijabarūtikal latī ghalabta bihā kulla shay
And by Your might by which You overcame all things
6
وَبِعِزَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَايَقُومُ لَهَا شَيْء
wabi`izzatikal latī lāyaqūmu lahā shay
And by Your glory which nothing can withstand
7
وَبِعَظَمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ مَلَأَتْ كُلَّ شَيْء
wabi`aẓamatikal latī mala-at kulla shay
And by Your greatness which has filled all things
8
وَبِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِيْ عَلَا كُلَّ شَيْء
wabisulṭānikal ladhī `alā kulla shay
And by Your authority which towers over all things
9
وَبِوَجْهِكَ الْبَاقِيْ بَعْدَ فَنَاءِ كُلِّ شَيْء
wabiwajhikal bāqī ba`da fanā-i kulli shay
And by Your face which will remain after the annihilation of all things
10
وَبِأَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِيْ مَلَأَتْ أَرْكَانَ كُلِّ شَيْء
wabi-asmā-ikal latī mala-at ar-kāna kulli shay
And by Your names which have filled the pillars of all things
11
وَبِعِلْمِكَ الَّذِيْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْء
wabi`ilmikal ladhī aḥāṭa bikulli shay
And by Your knowledge which encompasses all things
12
وَبِنُوْرِ وَجْهِكَ الَّذِيْ أَضَاءَ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْء
wabinūri wajhikal ladhī aḍā-a lahu kullu shay
And by the light of Your face which illuminates all things
13
يَا نُوْرُ يَا قُدُّوْسُ
yā nūru yā quddūs
O Light, O Holy One
14
يَا أَوَّلَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
yā awwalal awwalīn
O First of the first ones
15
وَيَا آخِرَ الْآخِرِينَ
wayā-ākhiral-ākhirīn
And O Last of the last ones
16
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الَّتِيْ تَهْتِكُ الْعِصَمَ
allāhummaghfir liyadh dhunūbal latī tahtikul `iṣam
O Allah, forgive me the sins that tear apart protection
17
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الَّتِيْ تُنْزِلُ النِّقَمَ
allāhummaghfir liyadh dhunūbal latī tunzilun niqam
O Allah, forgive me the sins that bring down punishment
18
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الَّتِيْ تُغَيِّرُ النِّعَمَ
allāhummaghfir liyadh dhunūbal latī tughayyirun ni`am
O Allah, forgive me the sins that alter blessings
19
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الَّتِيْ تَحْبِسُ الدُّعَاءَ
allāhummaghfir liyadh dhunūbal latī taḥbisud du`ā
O Allah, forgive me the sins that withhold supplications
20
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الَّتِيْ تَقْطَعُ الرَّجَاءَ
allāhummaghfir liyadh dhunūbal latī taqṭa`ur rajā
O Allah, forgive me the sins that cut off hope
21
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الَّتِيْ تُنْزِلُ الْبَلَاءَ
allāhummaghfir liyadh dhunūbal latī tunzilul balā
O Allah, forgive me the sins that bring down calamities
22
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ أَذْنَبْتُهُ، وَكُلَّ خَطِيئَةٍ أَخْطَأْتُهَا
allāhummaghfir lī kulla dhanbin adhnabtuh, wakulla khaṭī-atin akhṭa-tuhā
O Allah, forgive me every sin I have committed and every mistake I have made
23
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ بِذِكْرِكَ
allāhumma innī ataqarrabu ilayka bidhikrik
O Allah, I seek nearness to You through Your remembrance
24
وَأَسْتَشْفِعُ بِكَ إِلٰى نَفْسِكَ
wa-astashfi`u bika ilā nafsik
And I seek Your intercession with Yourself
25
وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِجُودِكَ أَنْ تُدْنِيَنِيْ مِنْ قُرْبِكَ
wa-as-aluka bijūdika an tudniyanī min qur-bik
And I ask You by Your generosity to bring me closer to You
26
وَأَنْ تُوزِعَنِيْ شُكْرَكَ
wa-an tūzi`anī shukrak
And to grant me the ability to thank You
27
وَأَنْ تُلْهِمَنِيْ ذِكْرَكَ
wa-an tulhimanī dhikrak
And to inspire me to remember You
28
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ سُؤَالَ خَاضِعٍ مُتَذَلِّلٍ خَاشِعٍ، أَنْ تُسَامِحَنِيْ وَتَرْحَمَنِي
allāhumma innī as-aluka su-āla khāḍi`in mutadhallilin khāshi`, an tusāmiḥanī watar-ḥamanī
O Allah, I ask You with the asking of one who is submissive, humble, and reverent, that You forgive me and have mercy on me
29
وَتَجْعَلَنِيْ بِقِسْمِكَ رَاضِيًا قَانِعًا، وَفِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْأَحْوَالِ مُتَوَاضِعًا
wataj`alanī biqismika rāḍiyan qāni`ā, wafī jamī`il aḥwāli mutawāḍi`ā
And make me content and satisfied with what You have apportioned, and in all circumstances, humble
30
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَأَسْأَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنِ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهُ
allāhumma wa-as-aluka su-āla manishtaddat fāqatuh
O Allah, I ask You with the asking of one whose poverty is severe
31
وَأَنْزَلَ بِكَ عِنْدَ الشَّدَائِدِ حَاجَتَهُ
wa-anzala bika `indash shadā-idi ḥājatah
And who has brought his need to You in times of hardship
32
وَعَظُمَ فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ رَغْبَتُهُ
wa`aẓuma fīmā `indaka raghbatuh
And whose desire for what You have is great
33
اَللّٰهُمَّ عَظُمَ سُلْطَانُكَ، وَعَلَا مَكَانُكَ
allāhumma `aẓuma sulṭānuk, wa`alā makānuk
O Allah, Your authority is great, and Your station is exalted
34
وَخَفِيَ مَكْرُكَ، وَظَهَرَ أَمْرُكَ
wakhafiya makruk, waẓahara amruk
Your plan is hidden, and Your command is manifest
35
وَغَلَبَ قَهْرُكَ، وَجَرَتْ قُدْرَتُكَ
waghalaba qahruk, wajarat qudratuk
Your might is overwhelming, and Your power is in effect
36
وَلَا يُمْكِنُ الْفِرَارُ مِنْ حُكُومَتِكَ
walā yumkinul firāru min ḥukūmatik
And it is not possible to escape from Your judgment
37
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَاأَجِدُ لِذُنُوبِىْ غَافِرًا
allāhumma lā-ajidu lidhunūbī ghāfirā
O Allah, I find no forgiver for my sins
38
وَلَا لِقَبَائِحِيْ سَاتِرًا
walā liqabā-iḥī sātirā
And no concealer for my ugly deeds
39
وَلَا لِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِيَ الْقَبِيحِ بِالْحَسَنِ مُبَدِّلًا غَيْرَكَ
walā lishay-in min `amaliyal qabīḥi bil ḥasani mubaddilan ghayrak
And no transformer of any of my evil deeds into good ones except You
40
لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
la-ilāha illā ant
There is no god but You
41
سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ
subḥānaka wabiḥamdik
Glory be to You, and praise
42
ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي
ẓalamtu nafsī
I have wronged myself
43
وَتَجَرَّأْتُ بِجَهْلِيْ
watajarra-tu bijahlī
And I have been emboldened in my ignorance
44
وَسَكَنْتُ إِلٰى قَدِيمِ ذِكْرِكَ لِيْ وَمَنِّكَ عَلَيَّ
wasakantu ilā qadīmi dhikrika lī wamannika `alayy
And I have relied upon Your ancient remembrance of me and Your favor upon me
45
اَللّٰهُمَّ مَوْلَايَ
allāhumma mawlāy
O Allah, my Master
46
كَمْ مِنْ قَبِيحٍ سَتَرْتَهُ
kam min qabīḥin satar-tah
How many ugly deeds You have concealed
47
وَكَمْ مِنْ فَادِحٍ مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ أَقَلْتَهُ
wakam min fādiḥin minal balā-i aqaltah
And how many burdensome afflictions You have alleviated
48
وَكَمْ مِنْ عِثَارٍ وَقَيْتَهُ
wakam min `ithārin waqaytah
And how many stumbles You have prevented
49
وَكَمْ مِنْ مَكْرُوهٍ دَفَعْتَهُ
wakam min makrūhin dafa`tah
And how many troubles You have removed
50
وَكَمْ مِنْ ثَنَاءٍ جَمِيلٍ لَسْتُ أَهْلًا لَهُ نَشَرْتَهُ
wakam min thanā-in jamīlin lastu ahlan lahu nashar-tah
And how much beautiful praise, which I did not deserve, You have spread
51
اَللّٰهُمَّ عَظُمَ بَلَائِيْ
allāhumma `aẓuma balā-ī
O Allah, my affliction is great
52
وَأَفْرَطَ بِىْ سُوءُ حَالِيْ
wa-afraṭa bī sū-u ḥālī
And my bad state has exceeded bounds
53
وَقَصُرَتْ بِىْ أَعْمَالِيْ
waqaṣurat bī a`mālī
And my deeds fall short
54
وَقَعَدَتْ بِىْ أَغْلاَلِيْ
waqa`adat bī aghlālī
And my fetters have held me back
55
وَحَبَسَنِيْ عَنْ نَفْعِيْ بُعْدُ أَمَلِيْ
waḥabasanī `an naf`ī bu`du amalī
And the remoteness of my hopes has confined me from benefiting myself
56
وَخَدَعَتْنِيْ الدُّنْيَا بِغُرُورِهَا، وَنَفْسِيْ بِجِنَايَتِهَا وَمِطَالِيْ
wakhada`atnid dunyā bighurūrihā, wanafsī bijināyatihā wamiṭālī
And the world has deceived me with its delusions, and my soul with its offenses and procrastinations
57
يَا سَيِّدِيْ فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزَّتِكَ أَنْ لَايَحْجُبَ عَنْكَ دُعَائِي سُوءُ عَمَلِيْ وَفِعَالِيْ
yā sayyidī fa-as-aluka bi`izzatika an lāyaḥjuba `anka du`ā-ī sū-u `amalī wafi`āli
O my Master, so I ask You by Your glory not to let my evil deeds and actions veil my supplication from You
58
وَلَا تَفْضَحْنِيْ بِخَفِيِّ مَا اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ سِرِّيْ
walā tafḍaḥnī bikhafiyyi māṭṭala`ta `alayhi min sirrī
And do not expose me by the hidden things of which You have knowledge from my secrets
59
وَلَا تُعَاجِلْنِيْ بِالْعُقُوبَةِ عَلَى مَا عَمِلْتُهُ فِيْ خَلَوَاتِيْ
walā tu`ājilnī bil `uqūbati `alā mā `amiltuhu fī khalawātī
And do not hasten me to punishment for what I have done in private
60
مِنْ سُوءِ فِعْلِيْ وَ إِسَاءَتِيْ
min sū-i fi`lī wa isā-atī
Of my evil deeds and wrongdoings
61
وَدَوَامِ تَفْرِيطِيْ وَجَهَالَتِيْ
wadawāmi tafrīṭī wajahālatī
And my continuous negligence and ignorance
62
وَكَثْرَةِ شَهَوَاتِيْ وَغَفْلَتِيْ
wakathrati shahawātī waghaflatī
And my excessive desires and heedlessness
63
وَكُنِ اللَّهُمَّ بِعِزَّتِكَ لِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ الْأَحْوَالِ رَؤُوفًا
wakunillāhumma bi`izzatika lī fī kullil aḥwāli ra-ūfā
And be, O Allah, by Your glory, compassionate to me in all circumstances
64
وَعَلَيَّ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْأُمُورِ عَطُوفًا
wa`alayya fī jamī`il umūri `aṭūfā
And gracious to me in all affairs
65
إِلٰهِيْ وَرَبِّي مَنْ لِيْ غَيْرُكَ، أَسْأَلُهُ كَشْفَ ضُرِّى، وَالنَّظَرَ فِيْ أَمْرِيْ
ilāhī warabbī man lī ghayruk, as-aluhu kashfa ḍurrī, wan naẓara fī amrī
My God and my Lord, who do I have besides You whom I can ask to remove my affliction and look into my affairs?
66
إِلٰهِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ أَجْرَيْتَ عَلَيَّ حُكْمًا اِتَّبَعْتُ فِيهِ هَوٰى نَفْسِي
ilāhī wamawlāya ajrayta `alayya ḥukman ittaba`tu fīhi hawā nafsī
My God and my Master, You have applied a law to me which I followed due to my base desires
67
وَلَمْ أَحْتَرِسْ فِيهِ مِنْ تَزْيِينِ عَدُوِّيْ
walam aḥtaris fīhi min tazyīni `aduwwī
And I did not protect myself from the embellishment of my enemy
68
فَغَرَّنِيْ بِمَا أَهْوٰى وَأَسْعَدَهُ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ الْقَضَاءُ
fagharranī bimā ahwā wa-as`adahu `alā dhālikal qaḍā
So he deceived me with what I desired, and fate aided him in that
69
فَتَجَاوَزْتُ بِمَا جَرٰى عَلَيَّ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ بَعْضَ حُدُودِكَ
fatajāwaztu bimā jarā `alayya min dhālika ba`ḍa ḥudūdik
Thus I transgressed some of Your limits because of what happened to me
70
وَخَالَفْتُ بَعْضَ أَوَامِرِكَ
wakhālaftu ba`ḍa awāmirik
And I opposed some of Your commands
71
فَلَكَ الحُجَّةُ عَلَيَّ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ ذٰلِكَ
falakal ḥujjatu `alayya fī jamī`i dhālik
So Yours is the argument against me in all of that
72
وَلَا حُجَّةَ لِيْ فِيمَا جَرٰى عَلَيَّ فِيهِ قَضَاؤُكَ
walā ḥujjata lī fīmā jarā `alayya fīhi qaḍa-uk
And I have no argument concerning what Your decree has executed upon me
73
وَأَلْزَمَنِيْ حُكْمُكَ وَبَلَاؤُكَ
wa-alzamanī ḥukmuka wabala-uk
And Your judgment and affliction have obligated me
74
وَقَدْ أَتَيْتُكَ يَا إِلٰهِيْ بَعْدَ تَقْصِيرِيْ وَ إِسْرَافِيْ عَلَى نَفْسِي
waqad ataytuka yā ilāhī ba`da taqṣīrī wa isrāfī `alā nafsī
And I have come to You, my God, after having fallen short and been excessive against myself
75
مُعْتَذِرًا نَادِمًا
mu`tadhiran nādimā
Apologetic, regretful
76
مُنْكَسِرًا مُسْتَقِيلًا
munkasiran mustaqīlā
Broken, seeking forgiveness
77
مُسْتَغْفِرًا مُنِيبًا
mustaghfiran munībā
Repentant, returning
78
مُقِرًّا مُذْعِنًا مُعْتَرِفًا
muqirran mudh`inan mu`tarifā
Acknowledging, confessing, admitting
79
لَاأَجِدُ مَفَرًّا مِمَّا كَانَ مِنِّيْ
lā-ajidu mafarran mimmā kāna minnī
I find no escape from what I have done
80
وَلَا مَفْزَعًا أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْهِ فِيْ أَمْرِيْ
walā mafza`an atawajjahu ilayhi fī amrī
And no place of refuge to which to turn in my affairs
81
غَيْرَ قَبُوْ لِكَ عُذْرِيْ وَ إِدْخَالِكَ إِيَّايَ فِيْ سَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
ghayra qabū lika `udhrī wa idkhālika iyyāya fī sa`ati raḥmatik
Other than Your acceptance of my excuse and Your entering me into the vastness of Your mercy
82
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاقْبَلْ عُذْرِيْ
allāhumma faqbal `udhrī
O Allah, so accept my excuse
83
وَارْحَمْ شِدَّةَ ضُرِّيْ
war-ḥam shiddata ḍurrī
And have mercy on the severity of my affliction
84
وَفُكَّنِيْ مِنْ شَدِّ وَثَاقِيْ
wafukkanī min shaddi wathāqī
And release me from the tightness of my fetters
85
يَا رَبِّ ارْحَمْ ضَعْفَ بَدَنِيْ، وَرِقَّةَ جِلْدِيْ، وَدِقَّةَ عَظْمِيْ
yā rabbir-ḥam ḍa`fa badanī, wariqqata jildī, wadiqqata `aẓmī
O my Lord, have mercy on the weakness of my body, and the thinness of my skin, and the delicateness of my bones
86
يَا مَنْ بَدَأَ خَلْقِيْ وَذِكْرِيْ وَتَرْبِيَتِيْ وَبِرِّى وَتَغْذِيَتِيْ
yā man bada-a khalqī wadhikrī watar-biyatī wabirrī wataghdhiyatī
O You who began my creation, my remembrance, my upbringing, my goodness, and my nourishment
87
هَبْنِيْ لِابْتِدَاءِ كَرَمِكَ وَسَالِفِ بِرِّكَ بِيْ
habnī libtidā-i karamika wasālifi birrika bī
Grant me a gift for the beginning of Your generosity and Your previous goodness to me
88
يَا إِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَرَبِّيْ
yā ilāhī wasayyidī warabbī
O my God, my Master, and my Lord
89
أَتُرَاكَ مُعَذِّبِىْ بِنَارِكَ بَعْدَ تَوْحِيدِكَ
aturāka mu`adhhibī binārika ba`da tawḥīdik
Do You see Yourself punishing me with Your fire after my belief in Your oneness?
90
وَبَعْدَ مَا انْطَوٰى عَلَيْهِ قَلْبِىْ مِنْ مَعْرِفَتِكَ
waba`da manṭawā `alayhi qalbī min ma`rifatik
And after my heart has contained knowledge of You?
91
وَلَهِجَ بِهِ لِسَانِيْ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ
walahija bihi lisānī min dhikrik
And after my tongue has continuously mentioned Your remembrance?
92
وَاعْتَقَدَهُ ضَمِيرِيْ مِنْ حُبِّكَ
wa`taqadahu ḍamīrī min ḥubbik
And after my conscience has acknowledged Your love?
93
وَبَعْدَ صِدْقِ اعْتِرَافِيْ وَدُعَائِي خَاضِعًا لِرُبُوبِيَّتِكَ
waba`da ṣidqi`tirāfī wadu`ā-ī khāḍi`an lirubūbiyyatik
And after the sincerity of my confession and my supplication, humbly made to Your lordship?
94
هَيْهَاتَ أَنْتَ أَكْرَمُ مِنْ أَنْ تُضَيِّعَ مَنْ رَبَّيْتَهُ
hayhāta anta akramu min an tuḍayyi`a man rabbaytah
Far be it from You! You are more generous than to waste one whom You have raised
95
أَوْ تُبَعِّدَ مَنْ أَدْنَيْتَهُ
aw tuba``ida man adnaytah
Or to drive away one whom You have brought near
96
أَوْ تُشَرِّدَ مَنْ آوَيْتَهُ
aw tusharrida man-āwaytah
Or to banish one whom You have sheltered
97
أَوْ تُسَلِّمَ إِلَى الْبَلَاءِ مَنْ كَفَيْتَهُ وَرَحِمْتَهُ
aw tusallima ilal balā-i man kafaytahu waraḥimtah
Or to deliver to affliction one whom You have spared and shown mercy
98
وَلَيْتَ شِعْرِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَ إِلٰهِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ
walayta shi`rī yā sayyidī wa ilāhī wamawlāy
Would that I knew, O my Master, my God, my Protector, and my Lord
99
أَتُسَلِّطُ النَّارَ عَلٰى وُجُوهٍ خَرَّتْ لِعَظَمَتِكَ سَاجِدَةً
atusalliṭun nāra `alā wujūhin kharrat li`aẓamatika sājidah
Would You impose fire upon faces that have fallen prostrate before Your greatness?
100
وَعَلٰى أَلْسُنٍ نَطَقَتْ بِتَوْحِيدِكَ صَادِقَةً، وَبِشُكْرِكَ مَادِحَةً
wa`alā alsunin naṭaqat bitawḥīdika ṣādiqah, wabishukrika mādiḥah
And upon tongues that have spoken sincerely of Your oneness, and have thanked You with praise?
101
وَعَلٰى قُلُوبٍ اِعْتَرَفَتْ بِإِلٰهِيَّتِكَ مُحَقِّقَةً
wa`alā qulūbin i`tarafat bi-ilāhiyyatika muḥaqqiqah
And upon hearts that have acknowledged Your divinity with conviction?
102
وَعَلٰى ضَمَائِرَ حَوَتْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ بِكَ حَتَّىٰ صَارَتْ خَاشِعَةً
wa`alā ḍamā-ira ḥawat minal `ilmi bika ḥattā ṣārat khāshi`ah
And upon minds that have gained such knowledge of You that they have become humble?
103
وَعَلٰى جَوَارِحَ سَعَتْ إِلٰى أَوْطَانِ تَعَبُّدِكَ طَائِعَةً، وَ أَشَارَتْ بِاسْتِغْفَارِكَ مُذْعِنَةً
wa`alā jawāriḥa sa`at ilā awṭāni ta`abbudika ṭā-i`ah, wa ashārat bistighfārika mudh`inah
And upon limbs that have hurried to the places of Your worship in obedience, and have gestured with seeking Your forgiveness in submission?
104
مَا هٰكَذَا الظَّنُّ بِكَ، وَلَا أُخْبِرْنَا بِفَضْلِكَ عَنْكَ يَا كَرِيْمُ
mā hākadhaẓ ẓannu bik, walā ukhbir-nā bifaḍlika `anka yā karīm
Such is not the thought of You, nor have we been informed of Your grace, O Generous One!
105
يَا رَبِّ وَأَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفِيْ عَنْ قَلِيلٍ مِنْ بَلاءِ الدُّنْيَا وَعُقُوبَاتِهَا
yā rabbi wa-anta ta`lamu ḍa`fī `an qalīlin min balā-id dunyā wa`uqūbātihā
O Lord, You know my weakness before a little of this world's tribulations and punishments
106
وَمَا يَجْرِيْ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمَكَارِهِ عَلٰى أَهْلِهَا
wamā yajrī fīhā minal makārihi `alā ahlihā
And what flows in it of afflictions upon its inhabitants
107
عَلَى أَنَّ ذٰلِكَ بَلَاءٌ وَمَكْرُوْهٌ قَلِيْلٌ مَكْثُهُ، يَسِيْرٌ بَقَاؤُهُ، قَصِيْرٌ مُدَّتُهُ
`alā anna dhālika balā-un wamakrūhun qalīlun makthuh, yasīrun baqa-uh, qaṣīrun muddatuh
Even though it is a tribulation and affliction whose stay is short, whose duration is brief, whose period is fleeting
108
فَكَيْفَ احْتِمَالِيْ لِبَلاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَجَلِيلِ وُقُوعِ الْمَكَارِهِ فِيْهَا
fakayfaḥtimālī libalā-il-ākhirati wajalīli wuqū`il makārihi fīhā
So how can I endure the tribulations of the Hereafter and the great afflictions that occur within it?
109
وَهُوَ بَلاءٌ تَطُولُ مُدَّتُهُ، وَيَدُومُ مَقَامُهُ، وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ
wahuwa balā-un taṭūlu muddatuh, wayadūmu maqāmuh, walā yukhaffafu `an ahlih
For it is a tribulation whose period is long, whose station endures, and whose sufferers are not relieved
110
لِأَنَّهُ لَايَكُوْنُ إِلَّا عَنْ غَضَبِكَ وَانْتِقَامِكَ وَسَخَطِكَ
li-annahu lāyakūnu illā `an ghaḍabika wantiqāmika wasakhaṭik
Because it only occurs as a result of Your anger, vengeance, and wrath
111
وَهٰذَا مَا لَاتَقُومُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ
wahādhā mā lātaqūmu lahus samāwātu wal-ar-ḍ
And these are what the heavens and earth cannot withstand
112
يَا سَيِّدِيْ فَكَيْفَ لِيْ
yā sayyidī fakayfa lī
O my Master, so how about me?
113
وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ الضَّعِيفُ الذَّلِيلُ الْحَقِيرُ الْمِسْكِينُ الْمُسْتَكِيْنُ
wa-ana `abdukaḍ ḍa`īfudh dhalīlul ḥaqīrul miskīnul mustakīn
For I am Your weak, lowly, base, wretched, and miserable servant
114
يَا إِلٰهِيْ وَرَبِّي وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ
yā ilāhī warabbī wasayyidī wamawlāy
O my God, my Lord, my Master, and my Protector
115
لِأَيِّ الْأُمُورِ إِلَيْكَ أَشْكُوْ
li-ayyil umūri ilayka ashkū
For which things would I complain to You?
116
وَلِمَا مِنْهَا أَضِجُّ وَأَبْكِيْ
walimā minhā aḍijju wa-abkī
And for which of them would I lament and weep?
117
لِأَلِيمِ الْعَذَابِ وَشِدَّتِهِ
li-alīmil `adhābi washiddatih
For the severe punishment and its intensity?
118
أَمْ لِطُولِ الْبَلَاءِ وَمُدَّتِهِ
am liṭūlil balā-i wamuddatih
Or for the length of tribulation and its duration?
119
فَلَئِنْ صَيَّرْتَنِيْ لِلْعُقُوبَاتِ مَعَ أَعْدَائِكَ
fala-in ṣayyar-tanī lil`uqūbāti ma`a a`dā-ik
So if You subject me to the punishments with Your enemies
120
وَجَمَعْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ أَهْلِ بَلَائِكَ
wajama`ta baynī wabayna ahli balā-ik
And gather me with the people of Your tribulation
121
وَفَرَّقْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ أَحِبَّائِكَ وَأَوْلِيَائِكَ
wafarraqta baynī wabayna aḥibbā-ika wa-awliyā-ik
And separate me from Your beloved ones and Your saints
122
فَهَبْنِيْ يَا إِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ وَرَبِّي، صَبَرْتُ عَلٰى عَذَابِكَ
fahabnī yā ilāhī wasayyidī wamawlāya warabbī, ṣabar-tu `alā `adhābik
Then suppose, my God, my Master, my Protector, and my Lord, that I am patient with Your punishment
123
فَكَيْفَ أَصْبِرُ عَلٰى فِرَاقِكَ
fakayfa aṣbiru `alā firāqik
How can I be patient with separation from You?
124
وَهَبْنِيْ صَبَرْتُ عَلَى حَرِّ نَارِكَ
wahabnī ṣabar-tu `alā ḥarri nārik
And suppose that I am patient with the heat of Your fire
125
فَكَيْفَ أَصْبِرُ عَنِ النَّظَرِ إِلٰى كَرَامَتِكَ
fakayfa aṣbiru `anin naẓari ilā karāmatik
How can I be patient with not gazing upon Your generosity?
126
أَمْ كَيْفَ أَسْكُنُ فِيْ النَّارِ وَرَجَائِي عَفْوُكَ
am kayfa askunu fin nāri warajā-ī `afwuk
Or how can I dwell in the Fire while my hope is Your pardon?
127
فَبِعِزَّتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ أُقْسِمُ صَادِقًا، لَئِنْ تَرَكْتَنِيْ نَاطِقًا
fabi`izzatika yā sayyidī wamawlāya uqsimu ṣādiqā, la-in taraktanī nāṭiqā
So by Your might, O my Master and my Protector, I swear sincerely, if You leave me with speech
128
لَأَضِجَّنَّ إِلَيْكَ بَيْنَ أَهْلِهَا ضَجِيجَ الْآمِلِيْنَ
la-aḍijjanna ilayka bayna ahlihā ḍajījal-āmilīn
I will lament to You from amidst its inhabitants with the lamentation of the hopeful
129
وَلَأَصْرُخَنَّ إِلَيْكَ صُرَاخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِينَ
wala-aṣrukhanna ilayka ṣurākhal mustaṣrikhīn
And I will cry to You with the cry of those crying for help
130
وَلَأَبْكِيَنَّ عَلَيْكَ بُكَاءَ الْفَاقِدِيْنَ
wala-abkiyanna `alayka bukā-al fāqidīn
And I will weep to You with the weeping of the bereft
131
وَلَأُنَادِيَنَّكَ أَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wala-unādiyannaka ayna kunta yā waliyyal mu-minīn
And I will call to You: Where are You, O Guardian of the believers?
132
يَا غَايَةَ آمَالِ الْعَارِفِينَ
yā ghāyata-āmālil `ārifīn
O Goal of the hopes of the knowers!
133
يَا غِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ
yā ghiyāthal mustaghīthīn
O Helper of those who seek help!
134
يَا حَبِيبَ قُلُوبِ الصَّادِقِينَ
yā ḥabība qulūbiṣ ṣādiqīn
O Beloved of the hearts of the truthful!
135
وَيَا إِلٰهَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
wayā ilāhal `ālamīn
And O God of the worlds!
136
أَفَتُرَاكَ سُبْحَانَكَ يَا إِلٰهِيْ وَبِحَمْدِكَ تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا صَوْتَ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ
afaturāka subḥānaka yā ilāhī wabiḥamdika tasma`u fīhā ṣawta `abdin muslim
Can You see Yourself—Glory be to You, my God, and Yours is the praise—hearing therein the voice of a Muslim servant
137
سُجِنَ فِيهَا بِمُخَالَفَتِهِ
sujina fīhā bimukhālafatih
Who was imprisoned there because of his disobedience
138
وَذَاقَ طَعْمَ عَذَابِهَا بِمَعْصِيَتِهِ
wadhāqa ṭa`ma `adhābihā bima`ṣiyatih
And tasted the flavor of its punishment because of his sins
139
وَحُبِسَ بَيْنَ أَطْبَاقِهَا بِجُرْمِهِ وَجَرِيرَتِهِ
waḥubisa bayna aṭbāqihā bijur-mihi wajarīratih
And is confined between its layers because of his crime and violation
140
وَهُوَ يَضِجُّ إِلَيْكَ ضَجِيجَ مُؤَمِّلٍ لِرَحْمَتِكَ
wahuwa yaḍijju ilayka ḍajīja mu-ammilin liraḥmatik
And he cries to You with the cry of one hopeful for Your mercy
141
وَيُنَادِيْكَ بِلِسَانِ أَهْلِ تَوْحِيدِكَ
wayunādīka bilisāni ahli tawḥīdik
And calls to You with the tongue of those who profess Your oneness
142
وَيَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ بِرُبُوبِيَّتِكَ
wayatawassalu ilayka birubūbiyyatik
And entreats You by Your lordship
143
يَا مَوْلاَيَ فَكَيْفَ يَبْقٰى فِيْ الْعَذَابِ وَهُوَ يَرْجُوْ مَا سَلَفَ مِنْ حِلْمِكَ
yā mawlāya fakayfa yabqā fil `adhābi wahuwa yar-jū mā salafa min ḥilmik
O my Protector, how could he remain in punishment while he hopes for Your past clemency?
144
أَمْ كَيْفَ تُؤْلِمُهُ النَّارُ وَهُوَ يَأْمُلُ فَضْلَكَ وَرَحْمَتَكَ
am kayfa tu-limuhun nāru wahuwa ya-mulu faḍlaka waraḥmatak
Or how could the Fire cause him pain while he expects Your bounty and mercy?
145
أَمْ كَيْفَ يُحْرِقُهُ لَهِيبُهَا وَأَنْتَ تَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهُ وَتَرىٰ مَكَانَهُ
am kayfa yuḥriquhu lahībuhā wa-anta tasma`u ṣawtahu watarā makānah
Or how could its flames burn him while You hear his voice and see his place?
146
أَمْ كَيْفَ يَشْتَمِلُ عَلَيْهِ زَفِيرُهَا وَأَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفَهُ
am kayfa yashtamilu `alayhi zafīruhā wa-anta ta`lamu ḍa`fah
Or how could its groaning enshroud him while You know his weakness?
147
أَمْ كَيْفَ يَتَقَلْقَلُ بَيْنَ أَطْبَاقِهَا وَأَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ صِدْقَهُ
am kayfa yataqalqalu bayna aṭbāqihā wa-anta ta`lamu ṣidqah
Or how could he be convulsed among its layers while You know his sincerity?
148
أَمْ كَيْفَ تَزْجُرُهُ زَبَانِيَتُهَا وَهُوَ يُنَادِيْكَ يَا رَبَّهُ
am kayfa tazjuruhu zabāniyatuhā wahuwa yunādīka yā rabbah
Or how could its keepers torture him while he calls out to You, "O Lord"?
149
أَمْ كَيْفَ يَرْجُوْ فَضْلَكَ فِيْ عِتْقِهِ مِنْهَا فَتَتْرُكُهُ فِيْهَا
am kayfa yar-jū faḍlaka fī `itqihi minhā fatatrukuhu fīhā
Or how could he hope for Your grace in freeing him from it, yet You abandon him therein?
150
هَيْهَاتَ مَا ذٰلِكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ
hayhāta mā dhālikaẓ ẓannu bik
Far be it from You! That is not what is expected of You
151
وَلَا الْمَعْرُوفُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
walal ma`rūfu min faḍlik
Nor what is known of Your bounty
152
وَلَا مُشْبِهٌ لِمَا عَامَلْتَ بِهِ الْمُوَحِّدِيْنَ مِنْ بِرِّكَ وَ إِحْسَانِكَ
walā mushbihun limā `āmalta bihil muwaḥḥidīna min birrika wa iḥsānik
Nor is it similar to the goodness and kindness You have shown to those who believe in Your oneness
153
فَبِالْيَقِينِ أَقْطَعُ، لَوْلَا مَا حَكَمْتَ بِهِ مِنْ تَعْذِيبِ جَاحِدِيْكَ
fabil yaqīni aqṭa`, lawlā mā ḥakamta bihi min ta`dhībi jāḥidīk
So with certainty I declare that were it not for what You have decreed concerning the punishment of Your deniers
154
وَقَضَيْتَ بِهِ مِنْ إِخْلاَدِ مُعَانِدِيْكَ
waqaḍayta bihi min ikhlādi mu`ānidīk
And what You have foreordained concerning the everlasting abode of those who stubbornly resist You
155
لَجَعَلْتَ النَّارَ كُلَّهَا بَرْدًا وَسَلامًا
laja`altan nāra kullahā bar-dan wasalāmā
You would have made the Fire all of it cool and safe
156
وَمَا كَانَ لِأَحَدٍ فِيهَا مَقَرًّا وَلَا مُقَامًا
wamā kāna li-aḥadin fīhā maqarran walā muqāmā
And no one would have had a place of rest or abode in it
157
لَكِنَّكَ تَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ أَقْسَمْتَ أَنْ تَمْلَأَهَا مِنَ الْكَافِرِيْنَ
lakinnaka taqaddasat asma-uka aqsamta an tamla-ahā minal kāfirīn
But You, holy are Your names, have sworn that You will fill it with the unbelievers
158
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
minal jinnati wan nāsi ajma`īn
From among the jinn and mankind together
159
وَأَنْ تُخَلِّدَ فِيهَا الْمُعَانِدِيْنَ
wa-an tukhallida fīhal mu`ānidīn
And that You will place those who stubbornly resist therein forever
160
وَأَنْتَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ قُلْتَ مُبْتَدِئًا، وَتَطَوَّلْتَ بِالْإِنْعَامِ مُتَكَرِّمًا
wa-anta jalla thana-uka qulta mubtadi-ā, wataṭawwalta bil in`āmi mutakarrimā
And You, majestic is Your praise, said at the beginning and were gracious through kindness as a favor
161
أَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًا لَا يَسْتَوُوْنَ
afaman kāna mu-minan kaman kāna fāsiqan lā yastawūn
"Is one who is a believer like one who is corrupt? They are not equal."
162
إِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ، فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِيْ قَدَّرْتَهَا
ilāhī wasayyidī, fa-as-aluka bil qudratil latī qaddar-tahā
My God and my Master, so I ask You by the power which You have decreed
163
وَبِالْقَضِيَّةِ الَّتِيْ حَتَمْتَهَا وَحَكَمْتَهَا، وَغَلَبْتَ مَنْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرَيْتَهَا
wabil qaḍiyyatil latī ḥatamtahā waḥakamtahā, waghalabta man `alayhi ajraytahā
And by the decision which You have determined and imposed, and prevailed over whom You have applied it to
164
أَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ فِيْ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَفِيْ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةِ
an tahaba lī fī hadhihil laylati wafī hadhihis sā`ah
That You forgive me in this night and at this hour
165
كُلَّ جُرْمٍ أَجْرَمْتُهُ
kulla jur-min ajramtuh
Every crime I have committed
166
وَكُلَّ ذَنْبٍ أَذْنَبْتُهُ
wakulla dhanbin adhnabtuh
And every sin I have performed
167
وَكُلَّ قَبِيحٍ أَسْرَرْتُهُ
wakulla qabīḥin asrar-tuh
And every ugly thing I have concealed
168
وَكُلَّ جَهْلٍ عَمِلْتُهُ
wakulla jahlin `amiltuh
And every folly I have enacted
169
كَتَمْتُهُ أَوْ أَعْلَنْتُهُ
katamtuhu aw a`lantuh
Whether I have hidden it or made it public
170
أَخْفَيْتُهُ أَوْ أَظْهَرْتُهُ
akhfaytuhu aw aẓhar-tuh
Whether I have concealed it or manifested it
171
وَكُلَّ سَيِّئَةٍ أَمَرْتَ بِإِثْبَاتِهَا الْكِرَامَ الْكَاتِبِيْنَ
wakulla sayyi-atin amar-ta bi-ithbātihal kirāmal kātibīn
And every evil deed You have ordered the noble scribes to record
172
اَلَّذِيْنَ وَكَّلْتَهُمْ بِحِفْظِ مَا يَكُونُ مِنِّيْ
al ladhīna wakkaltahum biḥifẓi mā yakūnu minnī
Who You have appointed to observe what comes from me
173
وَجَعَلْتَهُمْ شُهُودًا عَلَيَّ مَعَ جَوَارِحِيْ
waja`altahum shuhūdan `alayya ma`a jawāriḥī
And whom You have made, along with my limbs, witnesses against me
174
وَكُنْتَ أَنْتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ
wakunta antar raqība `alayya min warā-ihim
And You were Yourself the Watcher over me from behind them
175
وَالشَّاهِدَ لِمَا خَفِيَ عَنْهُمْ
wash shāhida limā khafiya `anhum
And the Witness of what is hidden from them
176
وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ أَخْفَيْتَهُ
wabiraḥmatika akhfaytah
But through Your mercy You concealed it
177
وَبِفَضْلِكَ سَتَرْتَهُ
wabifaḍlika satar-tah
And through Your grace You veiled it
178
وَأَنْ تُوَفِّرَ حَظِّى مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ
wa-an tuwaffira ḥaẓẓī min kulli khayrin anzaltah
And that You bestow upon me an abundant share of any good that You send down
179
أَوْ إِحْسَانٍ فَضَّلْتَه
aw iḥsānin faḍḍaltah
Or kindness that You confer
180
أَوْ بِرٍّ نَشَرْتَهُ
aw birrin nashar-tah
Or goodness that You unfold
181
أَوْ رِزْقٍ بَسَطْتَهُ
aw rizqin basaṭtah
Or provision that You spread out
182
أَوْ ذَنْبٍ تَغْفِرُهُ
aw dhanbin taghfiruh
Or sin that You forgive
183
أَوْ خَطًا تَسْتُرُهُ
aw khaṭan tasturuh
Or error that You cover
184
يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ
yā rabbi yā rabbi yā rabb
O Lord! O Lord! O Lord!
185
يَا إِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ وَمَالِكَ رِقِّيْ
yā ilāhī wasayyidī wamawlāya wamālika riqqī
O my God, my Master, my Protector, and Owner of my bondage
186
يَا مَنْ بِيَدِهِ نَاصِيَتِيْ
yā man biyadihi nāṣiyatī
O He in whose hand is my forelock
187
يَا عَلِيمًا بِضُرِّى وَمَسْكَنَتِيْ
yā `alīman biḍurrī wamaskanatī
O He who knows my affliction and my misery
188
يَا خَبِيرًا بِفَقْرِيْ وَفَاقَتِيْ
yā khabīran bifaqrī wafāqatī
O He who is aware of my poverty and my destitution
189
يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ
yā rabbi yā rabbi yā rabb
O Lord! O Lord! O Lord!
190
أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ وَقُدْسِكَ
as-aluka biḥaqqika waqudsik
I ask You by Your truth and Your holiness
191
وَأَعْظَمِ صِفَاتِكَ وَأَسْمَائِكَ
wa-a`ẓami ṣifātika wa-asmā-ik
And the greatest of Your attributes and names
192
أَنْ تَجْعَلَ أَوْقَاتِيْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ بِذِكْرِكَ مَعْمُورَةً
an taj`ala awqātī minal layli wan nahāri bidhikrika ma`mūrah
That You make my times in the night and the day inhabited by Your remembrance
193
وَبِخِدْمَتِكَ مَوْصُولَةً
wabikhidmatika mawṣūlah
And joined to Your service
194
وَأَعْمَالِيْ عِنْدَكَ مَقْبُولَةً
wa-a`mālī `indaka maqbūlah
And my deeds acceptable to You
195
حَتَّىٰ تَكُونَ أَعْمَالِيْ وَأَوْرَادِيْ كُلُّهَا وِرْدًا وَاحِدًا
ḥattā takūna a`mālī wa-awrādī kulluhā wir-dan wāḥidā
So that my deeds and my litanies may all be a single litany
196
وَحَالِيْ فِيْ خِدْمَتِكَ سَرْمَدًا
waḥālī fī khidmatika sar-madā
And my occupation in Your service everlasting
197
يَا سَيِّدِيْ يَا مَنْ عَلَيْهِ مُعَوَّلِيْ
yā sayyidī yā man `alayhi mu`awwalī
O my Master! O He upon whom I rely
198
يَا مَنْ إِلَيْهِ شَكَوْتُ أَحْوَالِيْ
yā man ilayhi shakawtu aḥwālī
O He to whom I complain about my conditions
199
يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ
yā rabbi yā rabbi yā rabb
O Lord! O Lord! O Lord!
200
قَوِّ عَلَى خِدْمَتِكَ جَوَارِحِيْ
qawwi `alā khidmatika jawāriḥī
Strengthen my limbs for Your service
201
وَاشْدُدْ عَلَى الْعَزِيمَةِ جَوَانِحِيْ
washdud `alal `azīmati jawāniḥī
And fortify my resolve in determination
202
وَهَبْ لِيَ الْجِدَّ فِيْ خَشْيَتِكَ
wahab liyal jidda fī khashyatik
And grant me earnestness in my fear of You
203
وَالدَّوَامَ فِيْ الْاِتِّصَالِ بِخِدْمَتِكَ
wad dawāma fil ittiṣāli bikhidmatik
And continuity in my being joined to Your service
204
حَتّىٰ أَسْرَحَ إِلَيْكَ فِيْ مَيَادِينِ السَّابِقِينَ
ḥattā asraḥa ilayka fī mayādīnis sābiqīn
So that I may move toward You in the fields of the foremost
205
وَأُسْرِعَ إِلَيْكَ فِيْ البَارِزِينَ
wa-usri`a ilayka fil bārizīn
And hurry to You among those who hasten
206
وَأَشْتَاقَ إِلٰى قُرْبِكَ فِيْ الْمُشْتَاقِينَ
wa-ashtāqa ilā qur-bika fil mushtāqīn
And yearn for Your nearness among the yearning
207
وَأَدْنُوَ مِنْكَ دُنُوَّ الْمُخْلِصِينَ
wa-adnuwa minka dunuwwal mukhliṣīn
And draw near to You with the nearness of the sincere
208
وَأَخَافَكَ مَخَافَةَ الْمُوقِنِيْنَ
wa-akhāfaka makhāfatal mūqinīn
And fear You with the fear of those who have certainty
209
وَأَجْتَمِعَ فِيْ جِوَارِكَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wa-ajtami`a fī jiwārika ma`al mu-minīn
And gather in Your vicinity with the believers
210
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَمَنْ أَرَادَنِيْ بِسُوءٍ فَأَرِدْهُ
allāhumma waman arādanī bisū-in fa-arid-h
O Allah, whoever wishes me evil, wish him the same
211
وَمَنْ كَادَنِيْ فَكِدْهُ
waman kādanī fakid-h
And whoever plots against me, plot against him
212
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ عَبِيدِكَ نَصِيبًا عِنْدَكَ
waj`alnī min aḥsani `abīdika naṣīban `indak
And make me among the best of Your servants in share with You
213
وَأَقْرَبِهِمْ مَنْزِلَةً مِنْكَ
wa-aqrabihim manzilatan mink
And the nearest of them in station to You
214
وَأَخَصِّهِمْ زُلْفَةً لَدَيْكَ
wa-akhaṣṣihim zulfatan ladayk
And the most privileged of them in proximity to You
215
فَإِنَّهُ لَايُنَالُ ذٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِفَضْلِكَ
fa-innahu lāyunālu dhālika illā bifaḍlik
For that cannot be attained except by Your grace
216
وَجُدْ لِيْ بِجُودِكَ
wajud lī bijūdik
So grant me generously by Your generosity
217
وَاعْطِفْ عَلَيَّ بِمَجْدِكَ
wa`ṭif `alayya bimajdik
And be compassionate to me by Your glory
218
وَاحْفَظْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
waḥfaẓnī biraḥmatik
And protect me by Your mercy
219
وَاجْعَلْ لِسَانِيْ بِذِكْرِكَ لَهِجًا
waj`al lisānī bidhikrika lahijā
And make my tongue dedicated to Your remembrance
220
وَقَلْبِىْ بِحُبِّكَ مُتَيَّمًا
waqalbī biḥubbika mutayyamā
And my heart enthralled with Your love
221
وَمُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِحُسْنِ إِجَابَتِكَ
wamunna `alayya biḥusni ijābatik
And grant me the favor of Your good response
222
وَأَقِلْنِيْ عَثْرَتِيْ
wa-aqilnī `athratī
And overlook my stumbling
223
وَاغْفِرْ زَلَّتِيْ
waghfir zallatī
And forgive my slip
224
فَإِنَّكَ قَضَيْتَ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ بِعِبَادَتِكَ
fa-innaka qaḍayta `alā `ibādika bi`ibādatik
For You have decreed upon Your servants Your worship
225
وَأَمَرْتَهُمْ بِدُعَائِكَ
wa-amar-tahum bidu`ā-ik
And You have commanded them to supplicate to You
226
وَضَمِنْتَ لَهُمُ الْإِجَابَةَ
waḍaminta lahumul ijābah
And You have assured them of a response
227
فَإِلَيْكَ يَارَبِّ نَصَبْتُ وَجْهِيْ
fa-ilayka yārabbi naṣabtu wajhī
So to You, O Lord, I have turned my face
228
وَإِلَيْكَ يَا رَبِّ مَدَدْتُ يَدِيْ
wa-ilayka yā rabbi madadtu yadī
And to You, O Lord, I have extended my hand
229
فَبِعِزَّتِكَ اسْتَجِبْ لِيْ دُعَائِيْ
fabi`izzatikastajib lī du`ā-ī
So by Your might, answer my prayer
230
وَبَلِّغْنِيْ مُنَايَ
waballighnī munāy
And allow me to attain my desires
231
وَلَا تَقْطَعْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رَجَائِيْ
walā taqṭa` min faḍlika rajā-ī
And do not cut off my hope from Your favor
232
وَاكْفِنِيْ شَرَّ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِيْ
wakfinī sharral jinni wal-insi min a`dā-ī
And spare me the evil of the jinn and mankind from among my enemies
233
يَا سَرِيْعَ الرِّضَا
yā sarī`ar riḍā
O Quick to be pleased
234
اِغْفِرْ لِمَنْ لَايَمْلِكُ إِلَّا الدُّعَاءَ
ighfir liman lāyamliku illad du`ā
Forgive the one who owns nothing but supplication
235
فَإِنَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِمَا تَشَاءُ
fa-innaka fa``ālun limā tashā
For You do whatever You will
236
يَا مَنِ اسْمُهُ دَوَاءٌ
yā manismuhu dawā
O He whose name is a remedy
237
وَذِكْرُهُ شِفَاءٌ
wadhikruhu shifā
And whose remembrance is a healing
238
وَطَاعَتُهُ غِنًى
waṭā`atuhu ghinā
And whose obedience is wealth
239
اِرْحَمْ مَنْ رَأْسُ مَالِهِ الرَّجَاءُ
ir-ḥam man ra-su mālihir rajā
Have mercy on one whose capital is hope
240
وَسِلاحُهُ الْبُكَاءُ
wasilāḥuhul bukā
And whose weapon is weeping
241
يَا سَابِغَ النِّعَمِ
yā sābighan ni`am
O Perfector of blessings
242
يَا دَافِعَ النِّقَمِ
yā dāfi`an niqam
O Repeller of adversities
243
يَا نُورَ الْمُسْتَوْحِشِينَ فِيْ الظُّلَمِ
yā nūral mustawḥishīna fiẓ ẓulam
O Light of those who are lonely in darkness
244
يَا عَالِمًا لَايُعَلَّمُ
yā `āliman lāyu`allam
O Knower who was never taught
245
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
246
وَافْعَلْ بِىْ مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ
waf`al bī mā anta ahluh
And do with me what is worthy of You
247
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى رَسُوْ لِهِ وَالْأَئِمَّةِ الْمَيَامِيْنَ مِنْ آلِهِ
waṣallallāhu `alā rasū lihi wal-a-immatil mayāmīna min-ālih
And may Allah bless His Messenger and the blessed Imams of his family
248
وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا كَثِيرًا
wasallama taslīman kathīrā
And give them abundant peace
