1
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
2
وَلَا تَدَعْ لِيْ فِيْ هٰذَا المَكَانِ المُكَرَّمِ وَالمَشْهَدِ المُعَظَّمِ ذَنْبًا إِلَّا غَفَرْتَهُ
walā tada` lī fī hādhal makānil mukarrami wāl-mash-hadil mu`aẓẓami dhanban illā ghafar-tah
And do not leave for me in this honored place and this revered shrine any sin but that You forgive it
3
وَلَا هَمًّا إِلَّا فَرَّجْتَهُ
walā hamman illā farrajtah
And no worry but that You relieve it
4
وَلَا مَرَضًا إِلَّا شَفَيْتَهُ
walā maraḍan illā shafaytah
And no illness but that You cure it
5
وَلَا عَيْبًا إِلَّا سَتَرْتَهُ
walā `ayban illā satar-tah
And no fault but that You conceal it
6
وَلَا رِزْقًا إِلَّا بَسَطْتَهُ
walā rizqan illā basaṭtah
And no sustenance but that You expand it
7
وَلَا خَوْفًا إِلَّا آمَنْتَهُ
walā khawfan illā-āmantah
And no fear but that You secure it
8
وَلَا شَمْلًا إِلَّا جَمَعْتَهُ
walā shamlan illā jama`tah
And no separation but that You reunite it
9
وَلَا غَائِبًا إِلَّا حَفِظْتَهُ وَأَدْنَيْتَهُ
walā ghā-iban illā ḥafiẓtahu wa-adnaytah
And no absent one but that You protect and bring them near
10
وَلَا حَاجَةً مِنْ حَوَائِجِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْأٓخِرَةِ
walā ḥājatan min ḥawā-ijid dunyā wal-ākhirah
And no need from the needs of this world and the Hereafter
11
لَكَ فِيْهَا رِضَى وَلِيَ فِيْهَا صَلَاحٌ
laka fīhā riḍā waliya fīhā ṣalāḥ
In which is Your pleasure and my well-being
12
إِلَّا قَضَيْتَهَا يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
illā qaḍaytahā yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
But that You fulfill it, O Most Merciful of the merciful ones
You may then return to the tomb, stop at the side of the legs, and say the following words:
13
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا الفَضْلِ العَبَّاسَ بْنَ أَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā abal faḍlil `abbāsabna amīril mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, son of the Commander of the Faithful
14
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna sayyidil waṣiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the master of the successors
15
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَوَّلِ الْقَوْمِ إِسْلاَمًا
as salāmu `alayka yabna awwalil qawmi islāmā
Peace be upon you, O son of the first among people to embrace Islam
16
وَأَقْدَمِهِمْ إِيْـمَانًا
wa-aqdamihim īmānā
And the earliest of them in faith
17
وَأَقْوَمِهِمْ بِدِيْنِ اللَّهِ
wa-aqwamihim bidīnillāh
And the most steadfast of them in the religion of Allah
18
وَأَحْوَطِهِمْ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ
wa-aḥwaṭihim `alal islām
And the most protective of Islam
19
أَشْهَدُ لَقَدْ نَصَحْتَ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُوْلِهِ وَلِأَخِيْكَ
ash-hadu laqad naṣaḥta lillāhi walirasūlihi wali-akhīk
I bear witness that you were sincere to Allah, His Messenger, and your brother
20
فَنِعْمَ الْأَخُ الْمُوَاسِيْ
fani`mal akhul muwāsī
What an excellent consoling brother you were
21
فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ
fala`anallāhu ummatan qatalatk
May Allah curse the nation that killed you
22
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ
wala`anallāhu ummatan ẓalamatk
And may Allah curse the nation that wronged you
23
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً اِسْتَحَلَّتْ مِنْكَ الْمَحَارِمَ
wala`anallāhu ummatan istaḥallat minkal maḥārim
And may Allah curse the nation that violated your sanctities
24
وَانْتَهَكَتْ حُرْمَةَ الْإِسْلَامِ
wantahakat ḥur-matal islām
And desecrated the sanctity of Islam
25
فَنِعْمَ الصَّابِرُ الْمُجَاهِدُ
fani`maṣ ṣābirul mujāhid
What an excellent patient warrior you were
26
اَلْمُحَامِيْ النَّاصِرُ
al muḥāmin nāṣir
The defender, the supporter
27
وَالْأَخُ الدَّافِعُ عَنْ أَخِيْهِ
wal-akhud dāfi`u `an akhīh
And the brother who protected his brother
28
اَلْمُجِيْبُ إِلَى طَاعَةِ رَبِّهِ
al mujību ilā ṭā`ati rabbih
Responding to the obedience of his Lord
29
اَلرَّاغِبُ فِيْمَا زَهِدَ فِيْهِ غَيْرُهُ مِنَ الثَّوَابِ الْجَزِيْلِ
ar rāghibu fīmā zahida fīhi ghayruhu minath thawābil jazīl
Desiring what others renounced of abundant reward
30
وَالثَّنَاءِ الْجَمِيْلِ
wath thanā-il jamīl
And beautiful praise
31
وَأَلْحَقَكَ اللَّهُ بِدَرَجَةِ آبَائِكَ فِيْ جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيْمِ
wa-alḥaqakallāhu bidarajati-ābā-ika fī jannātin na`īm
May Allah join you with the rank of your forefathers in the gardens of bliss
32
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ تَعَرَّضْتُ لِزِيَارَةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ رَغْبَةً فِيْ ثَوَابِكَ
allāhumma innī ta`arraḍtu liziyārati awliyā-ika raghbatan fī thawābik
O Allah, I have presented myself for the visitation of Your friends, desiring Your reward
33
وَرَجَاءً لِمَغْفِرَتِكَ وَجَزِيْلِ إِحْسَانِكَ
warajā-an limaghfiratika wajazīli iḥsānik
And hoping for Your forgiveness and abundant benevolence
34
فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ
fa-as-aluka an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa-ālihiṭ ṭāhirīn
So I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and his pure family
35
وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ رِزْقِيْ بِهِمْ دَارًّا
wa-an taj`ala rizqī bihim dārrā
And to make my sustenance through them abundant
36
وَعَيْشِيْ بِهِمْ قَارًّا
wa`ayshī bihim qārrā
And my life through them stable
37
وَزِيَارَتِيْ بِهِمْ مَقْبُوْلَةً
waziyāratī bihim maqbūlah
And my visitation through them accepted
38
وَحَيَاتِيْ بِهِمْ طَيِّبَةً
waḥayātī bihim ṭayyibah
And my life through them pleasant
39
وَأَدْرِجْنِيْ إِدْرَاجَ الْمُكْرَمِيْنَ
wa-adrijnī idrājal mukramīn
And include me among the honored ones
40
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِمَّنْ يَنْقَلِبُ مِنْ زِيَارَةِ مَشَاهِدِ أَحِبَّائِكَ
waj`alnī mimman yanqalibu min ziyārati mashāhidi aḥibbā-ik
And make me among those who return from visiting the shrines of Your beloved ones
41
مُفْلِحًا مُنْجِحًا
mufliḥan munjiḥā
Successful and prosperous
42
قَدِ اسْتَوْجَبَ غُفْرَانَ الذُّنُوْبِ
qadistawjaba ghufrānadh dhunūb
Having earned the forgiveness of sins
43
وَسَتْرَ الْعُيُوْبِ
wasatral `uyūb
And the concealment of faults
44
وَكَشْفَ الْكُرُوْبِ
wakashfal kurūb
And the removal of distresses
45
إِنَّكَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
innaka ahlut taqwā wa-ahlul maghfirah
Indeed, You are worthy of piety and worthy of forgiveness
