1
وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِيْ فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ
wajjahtu wajhiya lilladhī faṭaras samāwāti wal-ar-ḍ
I have turned my face toward the One who created the heavens and the earth
2
حَنِيْفًا مُسْلِمًا
ḥanīfan muslimā
Sincerely and in submission
3
وَمَا اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ
wamā ana minal mushrikīn
And I am not of those who associate partners with Allah
4
إِنَّ صَلاَتِيْ وَنُسُكِيْ
inna ṣalātī wanusukī
Indeed, my prayer and my sacrifice
5
وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِيْ
wamaḥyāya wamamātī
And my life and my death
6
لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
lillāhi rabbil `ālamīn
Are for Allah, Lord of the worlds
7
لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
lā sharīka lah
No partner has He
8
وَبِذٰلِكَ اُمِرْتُ
wabidhālika umir-t
And this I have been commanded
9
وَاَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
wa-ana minal muslimīn
And I am of those who submit (Muslims)
