بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī ja`alal layla libāsā
All praise is for Allah who made the night a covering
2
وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا
wan nawma subātā
And sleep a rest
3
وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا
waja`alan nahāra nushūrā
And made the day for rising
4
لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْ بَعَثْتَنِيْ مِنْ مَرْقَدِيْ
lakal ḥamdu an ba`athtanī min mar-qadī
To You belongs all praise that You awakened me from my sleep
5
وَلَوْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْتَهُ سَرْمَدًا
walaw shi-ta ja`altahu sar-madā
And if You had willed, You could have made it eternal
6
حَمْدًا دَائِمًا لَايَنْقَطِعُ أَبَدًا
ḥamdan dā-iman lāyanqaṭi`u abadā
Endless praise that never ceases
7
وَلَا يُحْصِيْ لَهُ الْخَلائِقُ عَدَدًا
walā yuḥṣī lahul khalā-iqu `adadā
And that the creation cannot enumerate
8
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْ خَلَقْتَ فَسَوَّيْتَ
allāhumma lakal ḥamdu an khalaqta fasawwayt
O Allah, to You belongs all praise that You created and perfected
9
وَقَدَّرْتَ وَقَضَيْتَ
waqaddar-ta waqaḍayt
And determined and decreed
10
وَ أَمَتَّ وَ أَحْيَيْتَ
wa amatta wa aḥyayt
And caused death and gave life
11
وَأَمْرَضْتَ وَشَفَيْتَ
wa-amraḍta washafayt
And caused illness and cured
12
وَعَافَيْتَ وَ أَبْلَيْتَ
wa`āfayta wa ablayt
And granted health and tested
13
وَعَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَيْتَ
wa`alal `ar-shistawayt
And upon the Throne, You established Yourself
14
وَعَلَى الْمُلْكِ احْتَوَيْتَ
wa`alal mulkiḥtawayt
And over the dominion, You have control
15
أَدْعُوكَ دُعَاءَ مَنْ ضَعُفَتْ وَسِيْلَتُهُ
ad`ūka du`ā-a man ḍa`ufat wasīlatuh
I call upon You with the supplication of one whose means are weak
16
وَانْقَطَعَتْ حِيْلَتُهُ
wanqaṭa`at ḥīlatuh
And whose strategies have been cut off
17
وَاقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُ
waqtaraba ajaluh
And whose appointed time has drawn near
18
وَتَدَانَىٰ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا أَمَلُهُ
watadānā fid dunyā amaluh
And whose worldly hopes have diminished
19
وَاشْتَدَّتْ إِلٰى رَحْمَتِكَ فَاقَتُهُ
washtaddat ilā raḥmatika fāqatuh
And whose need for Your mercy has intensified
20
وَعَظُمَتْ لِتَفْرِيطِهِ حَسْرَتُهُ
wa`aẓumat litafrīṭihi ḥasratuh
And whose regret for his negligence has become great
21
وَكَثُرَتْ زَلَّتُهُ وَعَثْرَتُهُ
wakathurat zallatuhu wa`athratuh
And whose slips and stumbles have increased
22
وَخَلُصَتْ لِوَجْهِكَ تَوْبَتُهُ
wakhaluṣat liwajhika tawbatuh
And whose repentance is purely for Your sake
23
فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ
faṣalli `alā muḥammad
So send blessings upon Muhammad
24
خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ
khātamin nabiyyīn
The Seal of the Prophets
25
وَعَلٰى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ
wa`alā ahli baytihiṭ ṭayyibīnaṭ ṭāhirīn
And upon his household, the pure and the purified
26
وَارْزُقْنِيْ شَفَاعَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ
war-zuqnī shafā`ata muḥammad
And grant me the intercession of Muhammad
27
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
May Allah's blessings be upon him and his family
28
وَلَا تَحْرِمْنِيْ صُحْبَتَهُ
walā taḥrimnī ṣuḥbatah
And do not deprive me of his companionship
29
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
innaka anta ar-ḥamur rāḥimīn
Indeed, You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy
30
اَللّٰهُمَّ اقْضِ لِيْ فِيْ الْأَرْبَعَاءِ أَرْبَعًا
allāhummaqḍi lī fil ar-ba`ā-i ar-ba`ā
O Allah, fulfill for me on Wednesday four things:
31
اِجْعَلْ قُوَّتِيْ فِيْ طَاعَتِكَ
ij`al quwwatī fī ṭā`atik
Make my strength in Your obedience
32
وَنَشَاطِيْ فِيْ عِبَادَتِكَ
wanashāṭī fī `ibādatik
And my energy in Your worship
33
وَرَغْبَتِيْ فِيْ ثَوَابِكَ
waraghbatī fī thawābik
And my desire in Your reward
34
وَزُهْدِيْ فِيْمَا يُوجِبُ لِيْ أَلِيمَ عِقَابِكَ
wazuhdī fīmā yūjibu lī alīma `iqābik
And my abstinence from what brings upon me Your painful punishment
35
إِنَّكَ لَطِيفٌ لِمَا تَشَاءُ
innaka laṭīfun limā tashā
Indeed, You are Subtle to whom You will
