بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
1
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
ash-hadu an la-ilāha illallāh
I bear witness that there is no god except Allah
2
وَحْدَهُ لَاشَرِيكَ لَهُ
waḥdahu lāsharīka lah
Alone, without any partner
3
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ رَسُولُهُ
wa-ash-hadu annaka rasūluh
And I bear witness that you are His Messenger
4
وَأَنَّكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِاللَّهِ
wa-annaka muḥammadubnu `abdillāh
And that you are Muhammad, son of Abdullah
5
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّكَ
wa-ash-hadu annaka qad ballaghta risālāti rabbik
And I bear witness that you have conveyed the messages of your Lord
6
وَنَصَحْتَ لِأُمَّتِكَ
wanaṣaḥta li-ummatik
And advised your community
7
وَجَاهَدْتَ فِيْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
wajāhadta fī sabīlillāh
And strived in the way of Allah
8
بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ
bil ḥikmati wāl-maw`iẓatil ḥasanah
With wisdom and good admonition
9
وَأَدَّيْتَ الَّذِيْ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ
wa-addaytal ladhī `alayka minal ḥaqq
And fulfilled what was obligatory upon you
10
وَأَنَّكَ قَدْ رَؤُفْتَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wa-annaka qad ra-ufta bil mu-minīn
And that you were compassionate to the believers
11
وَغَلَظْتَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
waghalaẓta `alal kāfirīn
And stern against the disbelievers
12
وَعَبَدْتَ اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصًا
wa`abadtallāha mukhliṣā
And you worshipped Allah sincerely
13
حَتَّىٰ أَتيٰكَ الْيَقِينُ
ḥattā atyākal yaqīn
Until certainty (death) came to you
14
فَبَلَغَ اللَّهُ بِكَ أَشْرَفَ مَحَلِّ الْمُكَرَّمِيْنَ
fabalaghallāhu bika ashrafa maḥallil mukarramīn
So Allah elevated you to the most noble position of the honored ones
15
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ اسْتَنْقَذَنَا بِكَ
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhistanqadhanā bik
All praise be to Allah Who rescued us through you
16
مِنَ الشِّرْكِ وَالضَّلالِ
minash shir-ki waḍ ḍalāl
From polytheism and misguidance
17
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
18
وَاجْعَلْ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَصَلَوَاتِ مَلَائِكَتِكَ
waj`al ṣalawātika waṣalawāti malā-ikatik
And make Your blessings and the blessings of Your angels
19
وَأَنْبِيَائِكَ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ
wa-anbiyā-ika walmur-salīn
And Your prophets and messengers
20
وَعِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
wa`ibādikaṣ ṣāliḥīn
And Your righteous servants
21
وَأَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرَضِينَ
wa-ahlis samāwāti wal-araḍīn
And the inhabitants of the heavens and earths
22
وَمَنْ سَبَّحَ لَكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
waman sabbaḥa laka yā rabbal `ālamīn
And those who glorify You, O Lord of the worlds
23
مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ
minal awwalīna wal-ākhirīn
From the first to the last
24
عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ
`alā muḥammadin `abdika warasūlik
Upon Muhammad, Your servant and messenger
25
وَنَبِيِّكَ وَأَمِينِكَ
wanabiyyika wa-amīnik
And Your prophet and trustee
26
وَنَجِيبِكَ وَحَبِيبِكَ
wanajībika waḥabībik
And Your chosen one and beloved
27
وَصَفِيِّكَ وَصِفْوَتِكَ
waṣafiyyika waṣifwatik
And Your pure one and Your elite
28
وَخَاصَّتِكَ وَخَالِصَتِكَ
wakhāṣṣatika wakhāliṣatik
And Your special one and Your sincere one
29
وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
wakhiyaratika min khalqik
And Your best selection from Your creation
30
وَأَعْطِهِ الْفَضْلَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ
wa-a`ṭihil faḍla walfaḍīlah
And grant him excellence and virtue
31
وَالْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالدَّرَجَةَ الرَّفِيعَةَ
walwasīlata wad darajatar rafī`ah
And the means and the elevated rank
32
وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا
wab`ath-hu maqāman maḥmūdā
And resurrect him to the praised station
33
يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَالْآخِرُونَ
yaghbiṭuhu bihil awwalūna wal-ākhirūn
For which he will be envied by the first and the last
34
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّكَ قُلْتَ
allāhumma innaka qult
O Allah, You have said
35
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ ظَلَمُوْا أَنْفُسَهُمْ
walaw annahum idh ẓalamū anfusahum
"If they, when they wronged themselves
36
جَاؤُكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوْا اللّٰهَ
ja-uka fastaghfarullāh
Had come to you and sought forgiveness from Allah
37
وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ
wastaghfara lahumur rasūl
And the Messenger had sought forgiveness for them
38
لَوَجَدُوْا اللّٰهَ تَوّٰابًا رَحِيمًا
lawajadullāha tawwāban raḥīmā
They would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful"
39
إِلٰهِيْ فَقَدْ أَتَيْتُ نَبِيَّكَ مُسْتَغْفِرًا
ilāhī faqad ataytu nabiyyaka mustaghfirā
My God, I have come to Your Prophet seeking forgiveness
40
تَائِبًا مِنْ ذُنُوبِيْ
tā-iban min dhunūbī
Repenting from my sins
41
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
So send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
42
وَاغْفِرْهَا لِيْ
waghfir-hā lī
And forgive them (my sins) for me
43
يَاسَيِّدَنَا
yāsayyidanā
O our master
44
أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ وَبِأَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ
atawajjahu bika wabi-ahli baytik
I turn through you and through your household
45
إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى رَبِّكَ وَرَبِّيْ
ilallāhi ta`ālā rabbika warabbī
To Allah the Exalted, your Lord and my Lord
46
لِيَغْفِرَ لِيْ
liyaghfira lī
That He may forgive me
47
إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
innā lillāhi wa-innā ilayhi rāji`ūn
Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
48
إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
innā lillāhi wa-innā ilayhi rāji`ūn
Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
49
إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
innā lillāhi wa-innā ilayhi rāji`ūn
Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
50
أُصِبْنَا بِكَ يَا حَبِيبَ قُلُوبِنَا
uṣibnā bika yā ḥabība qulūbinā
We are afflicted by your loss, O beloved of our hearts
51
فَمَا أَعْظَمَ الْمُصِيبَةَ بِكَ
famā a`ẓamal muṣībata bik
How great is the calamity of losing you
52
حَيْثُ انْقَطَعَ عَنَّا الْوَحْيُ
ḥaythunqaṭa`a `annal waḥy
When revelation to us was cut off
53
وَحَيْثُ فَقَدْنَاكَ
waḥaythu faqadnāk
And when we lost you
54
فَإِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
fa-innā lillāhi wa-innā ilayhi rāji`ūn
So indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
55
يَا سَيِّدَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
yā sayyidanā yā rasūlallāh
O our master, O Messenger of Allah
56
صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلٰى آلِ بَيْتِكَ الطَّاهِرِينَ
ṣalawātullāhi `alayka wa`alā-āli baytikaṭ ṭāhirīn
May Allah's blessings be upon you and your purified household
57
هٰذَا يَوْمُ السَّبْتِ وَهُوَ يَوْمُكَ
hādhā yawmus sabti wahuwa yawmuk
This is Saturday and it is your day
58
وَأَنَا فِيهِ ضَيْفُكَ وَجَارُكَ
wa-ana fīhi ḍayfuka wajāruk
And I am your guest and neighbor on this day
59
فَأَضِفْنِيْ وَأَجِرْنِي
fa-aḍifnī wa-ajir-nī
So host me and protect me
60
فَإِنَّكَ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الضِّيَافَةَ
fa-innaka karīmun tuḥibbuḍ ḍiyāfah
For you are generous and love hospitality
61
وَمَأمُورٌ بِالْإِجَارَةِ
wama-mūrun bil ijārah
And are commanded to grant protection
62
فَأَضِفْنِيْ وَأَحْسِنْ ضِيَافَتِيْ
fa-aḍifnī wa-aḥsin ḍiyāfatī
So host me and be generous in your hospitality
63
وَأَجِرْنَا وَأَحْسِنْ إِجَارَتَنَا
wa-ajir-nā wa-aḥsin ijāratanā
And protect us and be excellent in your protection
64
بِمَنْزِلَةِ اللَّهِ عِنْدَكَ وَعِنْدَ آلِ بَيْتِكَ
bimanzilatillāhi `indaka wa`inda-āli baytik
By the position that Allah has given you and your household
65
وَبِمَنْزِلَتِهِمْ عِنْدَهُ
wabimanzilatihim `indah
And by their position with Him
66
وَبِمَا اسْتَوْدَعَكُمْ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ
wabimastawda`akum min `ilmih
And by what He has entrusted you with of His knowledge
67
فَإِنَّهُ أَكْرَمُ الْأَكْرَمِيْنَ
fa-innahu akramul akramīn
For He is the Most Generous of the generous ones
