بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
2
لَا تُشْمِتْ بِيْ عَدُوِّي
lā tushmit bī `aduwwī
Do not let my enemy rejoice at my misfortune
3
وَلَا تَفْجَعْ بِيْ حَمِيْمِيْ وَ صَدِيْقِيْ
walā tafja` bī ḥamīmī wa ṣadīqī
And do not afflict my intimate friends and companions with grief over me
4
اِلٰهِيْ هَبْ لِيْ لَحْظَةً مِنْ لَحَظَاتِكَ
ilāhī hab lī laḥẓatan min laḥaẓātik
My God, grant me a glance from Your glances
5
تَكْشِفُ عَنِّيْ مَا ابْتَلَيْتَنِيْ بِهِ
takshifu `annī mabtalaytanī bih
That removes from me the affliction You have tested me with
6
وَتُعِيدُنِيْ إِلَى أَحْسَنِ عَادَاتِكَ عِنْدِيْ
watu`īdunī ilā aḥsani `ādātika `indī
And return me to the best of Your customary favors toward me
7
وَاسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِيْ وَدُعَاءَ مَنْ أَخْلَصَ لَكَ دُعَاءَهُ فَقَدْ
wastajib du`ā-ī wadu`ā-a man akhlaṣa laka du`ā-ahu faqad
And answer my prayer and the prayer of those who have sincerely called upon You, for
8
ضَعُفَتْ قُوَّتِيْ
ḍa`ufat quwwatī
My strength has weakened
9
وَقَلَّتْ حِيْلَتِيْ
waqallat ḥīlatī
My resources have diminished
10
وَاشْتَدَّتْ حَالِيْ
washtaddat ḥālī
My condition has worsened
11
وَأَيِسْتُ مِمَّا عِنْدَ خَلْقِكَ
wa-ayistu mimmā `inda khalqik
And I have despaired of what Your creation possesses
12
فَلَمْ يَبْقَ لِيْ اِلَّا رَجَاؤُكَ عَلَيَّ
falam yabqa lī illā raja-uka `alayy
Nothing remains for me except hope in Your favor upon me
14
اِنَّ قُدْرَتَكَ عَلٰى كَشْفِ مَا اَنَا فِيْهِ كَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلٰى مَا ابْتَلَيْتَنِيْ بِهِ
inna qudrataka `alā kashfi mā ana fīhi kaqudratika `alā mabtalaytanī bih
Your power to remove what I am in is like Your power over that with which You have afflicted me
15
وَ اِنَّ ذِكْرَ عَوَائِدِكَ يُوْنِسُنِيْ
wa inna dhikra `awā-idika yūnisunī
And the remembrance of Your customary favors comforts me
16
وَالرَّجَاءُ فِيْ اِنْعَامِكَ وَفَضْلِكَ يُقَوِّيْنِيْ
war rajā-u fī in`āmika wafaḍlika yuqawwīnī
And hope in Your blessings and grace strengthens me
17
لِأَنِّيْ لَمْ أَخْلُ مِنْ نِعْمَتِكَ مُنْذُ خَلَقْتَنِيْ
li-annī lam akhlu min ni`matika mundhu khalaqtanī
For I have never been devoid of Your blessings since You created me
18
وَ اَنْتَ اِلٰهِيْ
wa anta ilāhī
And You, my God
19
مَفْزَعِيْ وَمَلْجَإِيَ
mafza`ī wamalja-ī
Are my refuge and my shelter
20
وَالْحَافِظُ لِيْ وَالذَّآبُّ عَنِّيْ
walḥāfiẓu lī wadh dha-ābbu `annī
And my protector and defender
21
اَلْمُتَحَنِّنُ عَلَيَّ الرَّحِيْمُ بِيْ
al mutaḥanninu `alayyar raḥīmu bī
The One who is compassionate toward me, merciful to me
22
اَلْمُتَكَفِّلُ بِرِزْقِيْ
al mutakaffilu birizqī
The One who guarantees my sustenance
23
فِيْ قَضَآئِكَ كَانَ مَا حَلَّ بِيْ
fī qaḍā-ika kāna mā ḥalla bī
In Your decree was what befell me
24
وَ بِعِلْمِكَ مَا صِرْتُ اِلَيْهِ
wa bi`ilmika mā ṣir-tu ilayh
And by Your knowledge was what I have come to
25
فَاجْعَلْ يَا وَلِيِّيْ وَ سَيِّدِيْ فِيْمَا قَدَّرْتَ وَ قَضَيْتَ عَلَيَّ وَحَتَمْتَ
faj`al yā waliyyī wa sayyidī fīmā qaddar-ta wa qaḍayta `alayya waḥatamt
So make, O my Guardian and Master, in what You have decreed and ordained for me
26
عَافِيَتِيْ وَ مَا فِيْهِ صَلَاحِيْ وَ خَلَاصِيْ مِمَّا اَنَا فِيْهِ
`āfiyatī wa mā fīhi ṣalāḥī wa khalāṣī mimmā ana fīh
My well-being and what contains my welfare and deliverance from what I am in
27
فَإِنِّيْ لَا اَرْجُوْ لِدَفْعِ ذٰلِكَ غَيْرَكَ
fa-innī lā ar-jū lidaf`i dhālika ghayrak
For I hope in none other than You to repel that
28
وَلَا أَعْتَمِدُ فِيْهِ اِلَّا عَلَيْكَ
walā a`tamidu fīhi illā `alayk
And I rely upon none but You in this
29
فَكُنْ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ عِنْدَ اَحْسَنِ ظَنِّيْ بِكَ
fakun yā dhal jalāli wal-ikrāmi `inda aḥsani ẓannī bik
So be, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, in accordance with my best expectations of You
30
وَ ارْحَمْ ضَعْفِيْ وَقِلَّةَ حِيْلَتِيْ
war-ḥam ḍa`fī waqillata ḥīlatī
And have mercy on my weakness and lack of resources
31
وَ اكْشِفْ كُرْبَتِيْ
wakshif kur-batī
And remove my distress
32
وَ اسْتَجِبْ دَعْوَتِيْ
wastajib da`watī
And answer my prayer
33
وَ اَقِلْنِيْ عَثْرَتِيْ
wa aqilnī `athratī
And overlook my errors
34
وَ امْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِذٰلِكَ وَ عَلٰى كُلِّ دَاعٍ لَكَ
wamnun `alayya bidhālika wa `alā kulli dā`in lak
And bestow that favor upon me and upon all who call upon You
35
اَمَرْتَنِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ بِالدُّعَآءِ وَ تَكَفَّلْتَ بِالْاِجَابَةِ
amar-tanī yā sayyidī biddu`ā-i wa takaffalta bil ijābah
You have commanded me, O my Master, to supplicate, and You have guaranteed the response
36
وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ الَّذِيْ لَا خُلْفَ فِيْهِ وَلَا تَبْدِيْلَ
wawa`dukal ḥaqqul ladhī lā khulfa fīhi walā tabdīl
And Your promise is true, in which there is no breach nor alteration
37
فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ وَ عَبْدِكَ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin nabiyyika wa `abdik
So send blessings upon Muhammad, Your Prophet and servant
38
وَعَلَى الطَّاهِرِيْنَ مِنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
wa`alaṭ ṭāhirīna min ahli baytih
And upon the pure ones from his household
39
وَ اَغِثْنِيْ فَإِنَّكَ
wa aghithnī fa-innak
And help me, for You are
40
غِيَاثُ مَنْ لَا غِيَاثَ لَهُ
ghiyāthu man lā ghiyātha lah
The helper of those who have no helper
41
وَحِرْزُ مَنْ لَا حِرْزَ لَهُ
waḥir-zu man lā ḥir-za lah
And the protection of those who have no protection
42
وَ اَنَا الْمُضْطَرُّ الَّذِيْ اَوْجَبْتَ
wa anal muḍṭarrul ladhī awjabt
And I am the distressed one for whom You have made obligatory
43
اِجَابَتَهُ وَكَشْفَ مَا بِهِ مِنَ السُّوْ ءِ
ijābatahu wakashfa mā bihi minas sū
The answering of his prayer and the removal of his affliction
44
فَاَجِبْنِيْ وَاكْشِفْ هَمِّيْ
fa-ajibnī wakshif hammī
So answer me and remove my anxiety
45
وَفَرِّجْ غَمِّيْ
wafarrij ghammī
And relieve my grief
46
وَ اَعِدْ حَالِيْ اِلٰى اَحْسَنِ مَا كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ
wa a`id ḥālī ilā aḥsani mā kānat `alayh
And restore my condition to the best it was before
47
وَ لَا تُجَازِنِيْ بِالْاِسْتِحْقَاقِ وَ لٰكِنْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْء
wa lā tujāzinī bil istiḥqāqi wa lākin biraḥmatikal latī wasi`at kulla shay
And do not deal with me according to what I deserve, but by Your mercy which encompasses all things
48
يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ
yā dhal jalāli wal ikrām
O Possessor of Majesty and Honor
49
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
50
وَ اسْمَعْ وَ اَجِبْ يَا عَزِيْزُ
wasma` wa ajib yā `azīz
And hear and answer, O Mighty One
