بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ آدَمُ
allāhumma wa ādam
O Allah, and Adam
2
بَدِيْعُ فِطْرَتِكَ
badī`u fiṭratik
The marvel of Your creation
3
وَ أَوَّلُ مُعْتَرِفٍ مِّنَ الطِّيْنِ بِرُبُوْبِيَّتِكَ
wa awwalu mu`tarifim minaṭ ṭīni birubūbiyyatik
And the first from clay to acknowledge Your Lordship
4
وَبَدْوُ حُجَّتِكَ عَلٰى عِبَادِكَ وَبَرِيَّتِكَ
wabadwu ḥujjatika `alā `ibādika wabariyyatik
And the beginning of Your proof upon Your servants and Your creation
5
وَالدَّلِيْلُ عَلَى الْاِسْتِجَارَةِ بِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ عُقُوْبَتِكَ
wad dalīlu `alal istijārati bi`afwika min `uqūbatik
And the guide to seeking refuge in Your forgiveness from Your punishment
6
وَ النَّاهِجُ سُبُلَ تَوْبَتِكَ
wan nāhiju subula tawbatik
And the one who established the paths of Your repentance
7
وَ الْمُوَسَّلُ بَيْنَ الْخَلْقِ وَ بَيْنَ مَعْرِفَتِكَ
wal muwassalu baynal khalqi wa bayna ma`rifatik
And the mediator between creation and knowledge of You
8
وَ الَّذِيْ لَقَّنْتَهُ مَا رَضَيْتَ بِهِ عَنْهُ بِمَنِّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ
wal ladhī laqqantahu mā raḍayta bihi `anhu bimannika `alayhi wa raḥmatik
And the one whom You taught what pleased You through Your favor and mercy upon him
9
وَ الْمُنِيْبُ الَّذِيْ لَمْ يُصِرَّ عَلٰى مَعْصِيَتِكَ
wal munībul ladhī lam yuṣirra `alā ma`ṣiyatik
And the penitent who did not persist in disobeying You
10
وَ سَابِقُ الْمُتَذَلِّلِيْنَ بِحَلْقِ رَأْسِهِ فِيْ حَرَمِكَ
wa sābiqul mutadhallilīna biḥalqi ra-sihi fī ḥaramik
And the foremost among the humble ones by shaving his head in Your sanctuary
11
وَ الْمُتَوَسِّلُ بَعْدَ الْمَعْصِيَةِ بِالطَّاعَةِ اِلٰى عَفْوِكَ
wal mutawassilu ba`dal ma`ṣiyati biṭṭā`ati ilā `afwik
And the one who sought means after sin through obedience to Your forgiveness
12
وَ أَبُوْ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْذُوْا فِيْ جَنْبِكَ
wa abul anbiyā-il ladhīna ūdhū fī janbik
And the father of prophets who were harmed for Your sake
13
وَ اَكْثَرُ سُكَّانِ الْاَرْضِ سَعْيًا فِيْ طَاعَتِكَ
wa aktharu sukkānil ar-ḍi sa`yan fī ṭā`atik
And the most striving among the inhabitants of earth in Your obedience
14
فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ اَنْتَ يَا رَحْمٰنُ وَ مَلَائِكَتُكَ وَ سُكَّانُ سَمٰوَاتِكَ وَ أَرْضِكَ كَمَا
faṣalli `alayhi anta yā raḥmānu wa malā-ikatuka wa sukkānu samāwātika wa ar-ḍika kamā
So send blessings upon him, O Most Merciful, and Your angels and the inhabitants of Your heavens and earth as he
15
عَظَّمَ حُرُمَاتِكَ
`aẓẓama ḥurumātik
Honored Your sanctities
16
وَ دِلَّنَا عَلٰى سَبِيْلِ مَرْضَاتِكَ
wa dillanā `alā sabīli mar-ḍātik
And guide us to the path of Your pleasure
17
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of those who show mercy
