بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَخْلَصْتُ بِانْقِطَاعِيْ إِلَيْكَ
al lahumma innī akhlaṣtu binqiṭā`ī ilayk
O Allah, I have devoted myself sincerely by cutting off all attachments except to You
2
وَأَقْبَلْتُ بِكُلِّيْ عَلَيْكَ
wa-aqbaltu bikullī `alayk
And I have turned my entire being towards You
3
وَصَرَفْتُ وَجْهِيْ عَمَّنْ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى رِفْدِكَ
waṣaraftu wajhī `amman yaḥtāju ilā rifdik
And I have turned my face away from those who need Your support
4
وَقَلَبْتُ مَسْأَلَتِيْ عَمَّنْ لَمْ يَسْتَغْنِ عَنْ فَضْلِكَ
waqalabtu mas-alatī `amman lam yastaghni `an faḍlik
And I have redirected my requests from those who are not free from needing Your grace
5
وَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّ طَلَبَ الْمُحْتَاجِ إِلَى الْمُحْتَاجِ
wara-aytu anna ṭalabal muḥtāji ilal muḥtāj
And I have realized that a needy person asking from another needy person
6
سَفَهٌ مِنْ رَأْيِهِ وَضَلَّةٌ مِنْ عَقْلِهِ
safahun min ra-yihi waḍallatun min `aqlih
Is foolishness in their opinion and a misguidance in their intellect
7
فَكَمْ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ يَا إِلَهِي
fakam qad ra-aytu yā ilahī
How many, O my God, have I seen
8
مِنْ أُنَاسٍ طَلَبُوْا الْعِزَّ بِغَيْرِكَ فَذَلُّوْا
min unāsin ṭalabul `izza bighayrika fadhallū
People who sought honor from other than You, only to be humiliated
9
وَرَامُوْا الثَّرْوَةَ مِنْ سِوَاكَ فَافْتَقَرُوْا
warāmuth thar-wata min siwāka faftaqarū
And sought wealth from other than You, only to become impoverished
10
وَحَاوَلُوْا الِارْتِفَاعَ فَاتَّضَعُوْا
waḥāwalul ir-tifā`a fāttaḍa`ū
And attempted to elevate themselves, only to be lowered
11
فَصَحَّ بِمُعَايَنَةِ أَمْثَالِهِمْ حَازِمٌ
faṣaḥḥa bimu`āyanati amthālihim ḥāzim
So a wise person learns from witnessing their examples
12
وَفَّقَهُ اعْتِبَارُهُ
waffaqahu`tibāruh
Guided by his consideration
13
وَأَرْشَدَهُ إِلَى طَرِيقِ صَوَابِهِ اخْتِيَارُهُ
wa-ar-shadahu ilā ṭarīqi ṣawābihikhtiyāruh
And directed to the path of correctness by his choice
14
فَأَنْتَ يَا مَوْلَايَ
fa-anta yā mawlāy
So You, O my Master
15
دُوْنَ كُلِّ مَسْؤُولٍ مَوْضِعُ مَسْأَلَتِي
dūna kulli mas-ūlin mawḍi`u mas-alatī
Are, before anyone else who could be asked, the place for my request
16
وَدُوْنَ كُلِّ مَطْلُوبٍ إِلَيْهِ وَلِيُّ حَاجَتِي
wadūna kulli maṭlūbin ilayhi waliyyu ḥājatī
And before anyone else who could be sought, the guardian of my need
17
أَنْتَ الْمَخْصُوصُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ مَدْعُوٍّ بِدَعْوَتِي
antal makhṣūṣu qabla kulli mad`uwwin bida`watī
You are exclusively, before anyone who could be called, the recipient of my call
18
لَا يَشْرَكُكَ أَحَدٌ فِيْ رَجَائِي
lā yashrakuka aḥadun fī rajā-ī
No one shares with You in my hope
19
وَلَا يَتَّفِقُ أَحَدٌ مَعَكَ فِيْ دُعَائِي
walā yattafiqu aḥadun ma`aka fī du`ā-ī
And no one joins with You in my supplication
20
وَلَا يَنْظِمُهُ وَإِيَّاكَ نِدَائِي
walā yanẓimuhu wa-iyyāka nidā-ī
And my call does not include anyone alongside You
21
لَكَ يَا إِلَهِيْ وَحْدَانِيَّةُ الْعَدَدِ
laka yā ilahī waḥdāniyyatul `adad
To You, O my God, belongs the uniqueness of number
22
وَمَلَكَةُ الْقُدْرَةِ الصَّمَدِ
wamalakatul qudratiṣ ṣamad
And the possession of everlasting power
23
وَفَضِيلَةُ الْحَوْلِ وَالْقُوَّةِ
wafaḍīlatul ḥawli walquwwah
And the excellence of might and strength
24
وَدَرَجَةُ الْعُلُوِّ وَالرِّفْعَةِ
wadarajatul `uluwwi war rif`ah
And the highest degree of eminence and elevation
25
وَمَنْ سِوَاكَ مَرْحُومٌ فِيْ عُمْرِهِ
waman siwāka mar-ḥūmun fī `umrih
And anyone other than You is limited in their lifespan
26
مَغْلُوبٌ عَلَى أَمْرِهِ، مَقْهُورٌ عَلَى شَأْنِهِ
maghlūbun `alā amrih, maqhūrun `alā sha-nih
Overpowered in their affairs, subjugated in their condition
27
مُخْتَلِفُ الْحَالَاتِ، مُتَنَقِّلٌ فِيْ الصِّفَاتِ
mukhtaliful ḥālāt, mutanaqqilun fiṣ ṣifāt
Changing in states, transforming in attributes
28
فَتَعَالَيْتَ عَنِ الْأَشْبَاهِ وَالْأَضْدَادِ
fata`ālayta `anil ashbāhi wal-aḍdād
You are exalted above similarities and opposites
29
وَتَكَبَّرْتَ عَنِ الْأَمْثَالِ وَالْأَنْدَادِ
watakabbar-ta `anil amthāli wal-andād
And You are greater than any comparisons or equals
30
فَسُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
fasubḥānaka lā ilaha illā ant
Glory be to You, there is no god but You
