1
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
ash-hadu an la-ilāha illallāh
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah

وَحْدَهُ لَاشَرِيكَ لَهُ
waḥdahu lāsharīka lah
Alone without any partner
3
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ
lahul mulku walahul ḥamd
To Him belongs the Kingdom and to Him belongs all praise
4
بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ
biyadihil khayr
In His hand is all goodness
5
وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
wahuwa `alā kulli shay-in qadīr
And He has power over all things
6
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
ash-hadu an la-ilāha illallāh
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah

وَحْدَهُ لَاشَرِيكَ لَهُ
waḥdahu lāsharīka lah
Alone without any partner

أَحَدًا صَمَدًا
aḥadan ṣamadā
The One, the Self-Sufficient
9
لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا
lam yattakhidh ṣāḥibatan walā waladā
Who has not taken a spouse nor a child
10
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
ash-hadu an la-ilāha illallāh
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah
11
وَحْدَهُ لَاشَرِيكَ لَهُ
waḥdahu lāsharīka lah
Alone without any partner
12
أَحَدًا صَمَدًا
aḥadan ṣamadā
The One, the Self-Sufficient
13
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
lam yalid walam yūlad
He begets not, nor was He begotten
14
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
walam yakun lahu kufuwan aḥad
And there is none comparable to Him
15
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
ash-hadu an la-ilāha illallāh
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah
16
وَحْدَهُ لَاشَرِيكَ لَهُ
waḥdahu lāsharīka lah
Alone without any partner
17
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ
lahul mulku walahul ḥamd
To Him belongs the Kingdom and to Him belongs all praise
18
يُحْيِيْ وَيُمِيتُ
yuḥyī wayumīt
He gives life and causes death
19
وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَايَمُوتُ
wahuwa ḥayyun lāyamūt
And He is Ever-Living and never dies
20
بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ
biyadihil khayr
In His hand is all goodness
21
وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
wahuwa `alā kulli shay-in qadīr
And He has power over all things
22
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَكَفىٰ
ḥasbiyallāhu wakafā
Allah is sufficient for me and enough
23
سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ دَعَا
sami`allāhu liman da`ā
Allah hears whoever calls upon Him
24
لَيْسَ وَرَاءَ اللَّهِ مُنْتَهَى
laysa warā-allāhi muntahā
There is no final destination beyond Allah
25
أَشْهَدُ لِلّٰهِ بِمَا دَعَا
ash-hadu lillāhi bimā da`ā
I bear witness to Allah with what He has called to
26
وَأَنَّهُ بَرِىءٌ مِمَّنْ تَبَرَّأَ
wa-annahu barī-un mimman tabarra-a
And He is free from those who disassociate from Him
27
وَأَنَّ لِلّٰهِ الْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولىٰ
wa-anna lillāhil-ākhirata wal-ūlā
And to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the First (life)
