بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
إِلٰهِيْ عَظُمَ الْبَلاءُ، وَبَرِحَ الْخَفَاءُ
ilāhī `aẓumal balā-u, wabariḥal khafā
My God, great is the trial, and concealment has departed
2
وَانْكَشَفَ الْغِطَاءُ، وَانْقَطَعَ الرَّجَاءُ
wankashafal ghiṭā-u, wanqaṭa`ar rajā
The veil has been lifted, hope has been cut off
3
وَضَاقَتِ الْأَرْضُ، وَمُنِعَتِ السَّمَاءُ
waḍāqatil ar-ḍ, wamuni`atis samā
The earth has become narrow, and the sky is withholding
4
وَأَنْتَ الْمُسْتَعَانُ، وَإِلَيْكَ الْمُشْتَكىٰ
wa-antal musta`ān, wa-ilaykal mushtakā
You are the One from whom help is sought, and to You is the complaint
5
وَعَلَيْكَ الْمُعَوَّلُ فِيْ الشِّدَّةِ وَالرَّخَاءِ
wa`alaykal mu`awwalu fish shiddati war rakhā
And upon You is reliance in difficulty and ease
6
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
7
أُولِيْ الْأَمْرِ الَّذِيْنَ فَرَضْتَ عَلَيْنَا طَاعَتَهُمْ
ūlil amril ladhīna faraḍta `alaynā ṭā`atahum
Those in authority whose obedience You have made obligatory upon us
8
وَعَرَّفْتَنَا بِذٰلِكَ مَنْزِلَتَهُمْ
wa`arraftanā bidhālika manzilatahum
And by this You have made known to us their status
9
فَفَرِّجْ عَنَّا بِحَقِّهِمْ فَرَجًا عَاجِلًا قَرِيبًا كَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ
fafarrij `annā biḥaqqihim farajan `ājilan qarīban kalamḥil baṣari aw huwa aqrab
So grant us relief by their right, a relief that is immediate, near, as quick as the blink of an eye or even quicker
10
يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا عَلِيُّ، يَا عَلِيُّ يَا مُحَمَّدُ
yā muḥammadu yā `aliyy, yā `aliyyu yā muḥammad
O Muhammad, O Ali, O Ali, O Muhammad
11
اِكْفِيَانِيْ فَإِنَّكُمَا كَافِيَانِ، وَانْصُرَانِيْ فَإِنَّكُمَا نَاصِرَانِ
ikfiyānī fa-innakumā kāfiyān, wanṣurānī fa-innakumā nāṣirān
Suffice me, for you both are sufficient, and help me, for you both are helpers
12
يَا مَوْلاَنَا يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ
yā mawlānā yā ṣāḥibaz zamān
O our Master, O Master of the Time
13
اَلْغَوْثَ، اَلْغَوْثَ، اَلْغَوْثَ
al ghawth, al ghawth, al ghawth
Help, help, help
14
أَدْرِكْنِيْ، أَدْرِكْنِيْ، أَدْرِكْنِي
adriknī, adriknī, adriknī
Reach me, reach me, reach me
15
اَلسَّاعَةَ، اَلسَّاعَةَ، اَلسَّاعَةَ
as sā`ah, as sā`ah, as sā`ah
Now, now, now
16
اَلعَجَلَ، اَلعَجَلَ، اَلعَجَلَ
al `ajal, al `ajal, al `ajal
Hasten, hasten, hasten
17
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīna biḥaqqi muḥammadin wa ālihiṭ ṭāhirīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful ones, by the right of Muhammad and his pure family
