بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
al ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil `ālamīn
All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds
2
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّهِ
waṣallallāhu `alā sayyidinā muḥammadin nabiyyih
And may Allah's blessings be upon our master Muhammad, His Prophet
3
وَ آلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا
wa ālihi wasallama taslīmā
And his family, and grant them abundant peace
4
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
allāhumma lakal ḥamd
O Allah, to You belongs all praise
5
عَلٰى مَا جَرٰى بِهِ قَضَاؤُكَ
`alā mā jarā bihi qaḍa-uk
For what You have decreed
6
فِيْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَدِيْنِكَ
fī awliyā-ikal ladhīnastakhlaṣtahum linafsika wadīnik
For Your friends whom You have chosen for Yourself and Your religion
7
إِذِ اخْتَرْتَ لَهُمْ جَزِيْلَ مَا عِنْدَكَ
idhikhtar-ta lahum jazīla mā `indak
When You chose for them the abundant rewards with You
8
مِنَ النَّعِيْمِ الْمُقِيْمِ
minan na`īmil muqīm
From eternal blessings
9
اَلَّذِيْ لَازَوَالَ لَهُ وَلَا اضْمِحْلَالَ
al ladhī lāzawāla lahu walaḍmiḥlāl
Which will never diminish nor disappear
10
بَعْدَ أَنْ شَرَطْتَ عَلَيْهِمُ الزُّهْدَ
ba`da an sharaṭta `alayhimuz zuhd
After You had stipulated for them to renounce
11
فِيْ دَرَجَاتِ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا الدَّنِيَّةِ
fī darajāti hādhihid dunyad daniyyah
The ranks of this lowly world
12
وَزُخْرُفِهَا وَزِبْرِجِهَا
wazukhrufihā wazibrijihā
And its ornaments and embellishments
13
فَشَرَطُوْا لَكَ ذٰلِكَ
fasharaṭū laka dhālik
So they agreed to that condition
14
وَعَلِمْتَ مِنْهُمُ الْوَفَاءَ بِهِ
wa`alimta minhumul wafā-a bih
And You knew they would fulfill it
15
فَقَبِلْتَهُمْ وَقَرَّبْتَهُمْ
faqabiltahum waqarrabtahum
So You accepted them and drew them near
16
وَقَدَّمْتَ لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَ الْعَلِيَّ
waqaddamta lahumudh dhikral `aliyy
And You granted them high remembrance
17
وَالثَّنَاءَ الْجَلِيَّ
wath thanā-al jaliyy
And sublime praise
18
وَأَهْبَطْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ مَلَائِكَتَكَ
wa-ahbaṭta `alayhim malā-ikatak
And You sent Your angels down to them
19
وَكَرَّمْتَهُمْ بِوَحْيِكَ
wakarramtahum biwaḥyik
And honored them with Your revelation
20
وَرَفَدْتَهُمْ بِعِلْمِكَ
warafadtahum bi`ilmik
And supported them with Your knowledge
21
وَجَعَلْتَهُمُ الذَّرِيْعَةَ إِلَيْكَ
waja`altahumudh dharī`ata ilayk
And made them the means to reach You
22
وَالْوَسِيْلَةَ إِلٰى رِضْوَانِكَ
walwasīlata ilā riḍwānik
And the path to Your pleasure
23
فَبَعْضٌ أَسْكَنْتَهُ جَنَّتَكَ
faba`ḍun askantahu jannatak
Some of them You settled in Your paradise
24
إِلٰى أَنْ أَخْرَجْتَهُ مِنْهَا
ilā an akhrajtahu minhā
Until You brought him out from it
25
وَبَعْضٌ حَمَلْتَهُ فِيْ فُلْكِكَ
waba`ḍun ḥamaltahu fī fulkik
And some You carried in Your ark
26
وَنَجَّيْتَهُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ مَعَهُ
wanajjaytahu waman-āmana ma`ah
And saved him and those who believed with him
27
مِنَ الْهَلَكَةِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
minal halakati biraḥmatik
From destruction, through Your mercy
28
وَبَعْضٌ إِتَّخَذْتَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ خَلِيْلًا
waba`ḍun ittakhadhtahu linafsika khalīlā
And some You took as Your intimate friend
29
وَسَأَلَكَ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِيْ الْآخِرِينَ فَأَجَبْتَهُ
wasa-alaka lisāna ṣidqin fil-ākhirīna fa-ajabtah
And he asked You for a truthful mention among later generations, and You granted his request
30
وَجَعَلْتَ ذٰلِكَ عَلِيًّا
waja`alta dhālika `aliyyā
And You made that elevated
31
وَبَعْضٌ كَلَّمْتَهُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ تَكْلِيمًا
waba`ḍun kallamtahu min shajaratin taklīmā
And some You spoke to from a tree, directly
32
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ رِدْءًا وَوَزِيرًا
waja`alta lahu min akhīhi rid-an wawazīrā
And You appointed his brother as his supporter and minister
33
وَبَعْضٌ أَوْلَدْتَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَبٍ
waba`ḍun awladtahu min ghayri ab
And some You caused to be born without a father
34
وَ آتَيْتَهُ الْبَيِّنَاتِ
wa ātaytahul bayyināt
And You gave him clear signs
35
وَأَيَّدْتَهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ
wa-ayyadtahu birūḥil qudus
And supported him with the Holy Spirit
36
وَكُلٌّ شَرَعْتَ لَهُ شَرِيْعَةً
wakullun shara`ta lahu sharī`ah
And for each of them You established a law
37
وَنَهَجْتَ لَهُ مِنْهَاجًا
wanahajta lahu minhājā
And ordained a path
38
وَتَخَيَّرْتَ لَهُ أَوْصِيَاءَ
watakhayyar-ta lahu awṣiyā
And You selected for each successors
39
مُسْتَحْفِظًا بَعْدَ مُسْتَحْفِظٍ
mustaḥfiẓan ba`da mustaḥfiẓ
One guardian after another
40
مِنْ مُدَّةٍ إِلٰى مُدَّةٍ
min muddatin ilā muddah
From one period to another
41
إِقَامَةً لِدِينِكَ
iqāmatan lidīnik
To establish Your religion
42
وَحُجَّةً عَلٰى عِبَادِكَ
waḥujjatan `alā `ibādik
And as proof over Your servants
43
وَلِئَلَّا يَزُولَ الْحَقُّ عَنْ مَقَرِّهِ
wali-allā yazūlal ḥaqqu `an maqarrih
And so that truth would not depart from its position
44
وَيَغْلِبَ الْبَاطِلُ عَلٰى أَهْلِهِ
wayaghlibal bāṭilu `alā ahlih
And falsehood would not overcome its people
45
وَلَا يَقُولَ أَحَدٌ
walā yaqūla aḥad
And so that no one could say
46
لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا مُنْذِرًا
lawlā ar-salta ilaynā rasūlan mundhirā
"If only You had sent us a warning messenger
47
وَأَقَمْتَ لَنَا عَلَمًا هَادِيًا
wa-aqamta lanā `alaman hādiyā
And established for us a guiding standard
48
فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَذِلَّ وَنَخْزىٰ
fanattabi`a-āyātika min qabli an nadhilla wanakhzā
So that we could follow Your signs before being humiliated and disgraced"
49
إِلٰى أَنِ انْتَهَيْتَ بِالْأَمْرِ إِلٰى حَبِيبِكَ وَنَجِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ
ilā anintahayta bil amri ilā ḥabībika wanajībika muḥammad
Until You brought the matter to Your beloved and chosen one, Muhammad
50
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
May Allah's blessings be upon him and his family
51
فَكَانَ كَمَا انْتَجَبْتَهُ
fakāna kamantajabtah
And he was, as You had selected him
52
سَيِّدَ مَنْ خَلَقْتَهُ
sayyida man khalaqtah
The master of all You created
53
وَصَفْوَةَ مَنِ اصْطَفَيْتَهُ
waṣafwata maniṣṭafaytah
The chosen one from those You selected
54
وَأَفْضَلَ مَنِ اجْتَبَيْتَهُ
wa-afḍala manijtabaytah
The best of those You chose
55
وَأَكْرَمَ مَنِ اعْتَمَدْتَهُ
wa-akrama mani`tamadtah
The most noble of those You entrusted
56
قَدَّمْتَهُ عَلٰى أَنْبِيَائِكَ
qaddamtahu `alā anbiyā-ik
You gave him precedence over Your prophets
57
وَبَعَثْتَهُ إِلَى الثَّقَلَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ
waba`athtahu ilath thaqalayni min `ibādik
And sent him to both worlds of Your creation
58
وَأَوْطَأْتَهُ مَشَارِقَكَ وَمَغَارِبَكَ
wa-awṭa-tahu mashāriqaka wamaghāribak
And You made him tread Your east and west
59
وَسَخَّرْتَ لَهُ الْبُرَاقَ
wasakhhar-ta lahul burāq
And You made Buraq subservient to him
60
وَعَرَجْتَ بِرُوحِهِ إِلٰى سَمَائِكَ
wa`arajta birūḥihi ilā samā-ik
And You raised his spirit to Your heaven
61
وَأَوْدَعْتَهُ عِلْمَ مَا كَانَ
wa-awda`tahu `ilma mā kān
And You entrusted him with knowledge of what was
62
وَمَا يَكُونُ إِلٰى انْقِضَاءِ خَلْقِكَ
wamā yakūnu ilanqiḍā-i khalqik
And what will be until the end of Your creation
63
ثُمَّ نَصَرْتَهُ بِالرُّعْبِ
thumma naṣar-tahu birru`b
Then You aided him with awe
64
وَحَفَفْتَهُ بِجَبْرَئِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ
waḥafaftahu bijabra-īla wamīkā-īl
And surrounded him with Gabriel and Michael
65
وَالْمُسَوِّمِيْنَ مِنْ مَلَائِكَتِكَ
walmusawwimīna min malā-ikatik
And the distinguished ones among Your angels
66
وَوَعَدْتَهُ أَنْ تُظْهِرَ دِيْنَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ
wawa`adtahu an tuẓhira dīnahu `alad dīni kullih
And You promised him that You would make his religion prevail over all religions
67
وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
walaw karihal mushrikūn
Even if the polytheists disliked it
68
وَذٰلِكَ بَعْدَ أَنْ بَوَّأْتَهُ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْقٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ
wadhālika ba`da an bawwa-tahu mubawwa-a ṣidqin min ahlih
And that was after You had provided him a truthful place among his family
69
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهُ وَلَهُمْ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ
waja`alta lahu walahum awwala bayt
And established for him and them the first House
70
وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِيْ بِبَكَّةَ
wuḍi`a linnāsi lalladhī bibakkah
Placed for mankind, that which is at Bakkah
71
مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِيْنَ
mubārakan wahudan lil`ālamīn
Blessed and a guidance for all worlds
72
فِيهِ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ
fīhi-āyātun bayyināt
In it are clear signs
73
مَقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
maqāmu ibrāhīm
The station of Abraham
74
وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِنًا
waman dakhalahu kāna-āminā
And whoever enters it is safe
75
وَقُلْتَ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ
waqulta innamā yurīdullāhu liyudh-hiba `ankumur rijs
And You said: "Allah only desires to keep away impurity from you
76
أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ
ahlal bayt
O People of the House
77
وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا
wayuṭahhirakum taṭ-hīrā
And to purify you with a thorough purification"
78
ثُمَّ جَعَلْتَ أَجْرَ مُحَمَّدٍ
thumma ja`alta ajra muḥammad
Then You made the reward of Muhammad
79
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
ṣalawātuka `alayhi wa ālih
Your blessings be upon him and his family
80
مَوَدَّتَهُمْ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ
mawaddatahum fī kitābik
Love for them in Your Book
81
فَقُلْتَ قُلْ لَا أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا
faqulta qul lā as-alukum `alayhi ajrā
So You said: "Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it
82
إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِيْ الْقُرْبىٰ
illal mawaddata fil qur-bā
Except love for my near relatives"
83
وَقُلْتَ مَا سَأَلْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ
waqulta mā sa-altukum min ajrin fahuwa lakum
And You said: "Whatever reward I have asked of you, it is for yourselves"
84
وَقُلْتَ مَا أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ
waqulta mā as-alukum `alayhi min ajr
And You said: "I do not ask you for any reward for it
85
إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلٰى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا
illā man shā-a an yattakhidha ilā rabbihi sabīlā
Except for whoever wishes to take a path to his Lord"
86
فَكَانُوْا هُمُ السَّبِيلَ إِلَيْكَ
fakānū humus sabīla ilayk
So they were the path to You
87
وَالْمَسْلَكَ إِلٰى رِضْوَانِكَ
walmaslaka ilā riḍwānik
And the way to Your pleasure
88
فَلَمَّا انْقَضَتْ أَيَّامُهُ
falammanqaḍat ayyāmuh
When his days were completed
89
أَقَامَ وَلِيَّهُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِيْ طَالِبٍ
aqāma waliyyahu `aliyyabna abī ṭālib
He appointed his successor Ali ibn Abi Talib
90
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَ آلِهِمَا هَادِيًا
ṣalawātuka `alayhimā wa ālihimā hādiyā
Your blessings be upon them both and their families, as a guide
91
إِذْ كَانَ هُوَ الْمُنْذِرَ
idh kāna huwal mundhir
As he was the warner
92
وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ
walikulli qawmin hād
And for every people there is a guide
93
فَقَالَ وَالْمَلَأُ أَمَامَهُ
faqāla walmala-u amāmah
So he said while the assembly was before him
94
مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلاَهُ
man kuntu mawlāh
"Whoever I am his master
95
فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلاَهُ
fa`aliyyun mawlāh
Ali is his master
96
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
allāhumma wāli man wālāh
O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him
97
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
wa`ādi man `ādāh
And be an enemy to whoever is his enemy
98
وَانْصُرْ مَنْ نَصَرَهُ
wanṣur man naṣarah
And help whoever helps him
99
وَاخْذُلْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُ
wakhdhul man khadhalah
And forsake whoever forsakes him"
100
وَقَالَ مَنْ كُنْتُ أَنَا نَبِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ أَمِيرُهُ
waqāla man kuntu ana nabiyyahu fa`aliyyun amīruh
And he said: "Whoever I am his Prophet, Ali is his commander"
101
وَقَالَ أَنَا وَعَلِيٌّ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ
waqāla ana wa`aliyyun min shajaratin wāḥidah
And he said: "Ali and I are from one tree
102
وَسَائِرُ النَّاسِ مِنْ شَجَرٍ شَتّىٰ
wasā-irun nāsi min shajarin shattā
And all other people are from various trees"
103
وَأَحَلَّهُ مَحَلَّ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسٰى
wa-aḥallahu maḥalla hārūna min mūsā
And he placed him in the position of Aaron to Moses
104
فَقَالَ لَهُ أَنْتَ مِنِّيْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسٰى
faqāla lahu anta minnī bimanzilati hārūna min mūsā
So he said to him: "You are to me in the position of Aaron to Moses
105
إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي
illā annahu lā nabiyya ba`dī
Except that there is no prophet after me"
106
وَزَوَّجَهُ ابْنَتَهُ سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
wazawwajahubnatahu sayyidata nisā-il `ālamīn
And he married him to his daughter, the leader of the women of the worlds
107
وَأَحَلَّ لَهُ مِنْ مَسْجِدِهِ مَا حَلَّ لَهُ
wa-aḥalla lahu min masjidihi mā ḥalla lah
And made lawful for him from his mosque what was lawful for himself
108
وَسَدَّ الْأَبْوَابَ إِلَّا بَابَهُ
wasaddal abwāba illā bābah
And closed all doors except his door
109
ثُمَّ أَوْدَعَهُ عِلْمَهُ وَحِكْمَتَهُ
thumma awda`ahu `ilmahu waḥikmatah
Then he entrusted him with his knowledge and wisdom
110
فَقَالَ أَنَا مَدِيْنَةُ الْعِلْمِ
faqāla ana madīnatul `ilm
Saying: "I am the city of knowledge
111
وَعَلِيٌّ بَابُهَا
wa`aliyyun bābuhā
And Ali is its gate
112
فَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْمَدِيْنَةَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ
faman arādal madīnata walḥikmah
So whoever desires the city and wisdom
113
فَلْيَأْتِهَا مِنْ بَابِهَا
falya-tihā min bābihā
Let him come to it through its gate"
114
ثُمَّ قَالَ أَنْتَ أَخِيْ وَوَصِيِّيْ وَوَارِثِي
thumma qāla anta akhī wawaṣiyyī wawārithī
Then he said: "You are my brother, my successor, and my inheritor
115
لَحْمُكَ مِنْ لَحْمِي
laḥmuka min laḥmī
Your flesh is from my flesh
116
وَدَمُكَ مِنْ دَمِي
wadamuka min damī
And your blood is from my blood
117
وَسِلْمُكَ سِلْمِي
wasilmuka silmī
Your peace is my peace
118
وَحَرْبُكَ حَرْبِي
waḥar-buka ḥar-bī
And your war is my war
119
وَالْإِيمَانُ مُخَالِطٌ لَحْمَكَ وَدَمَكَ
wal-īmānu mukhāliṭun laḥmaka wadamak
And faith is mixed with your flesh and blood
120
كَمَا خَالَطَ لَحْمِيْ وَدَمِي
kamā khālaṭa laḥmī wadamī
As it is mixed with my flesh and blood
121
وَأَنْتَ غَدًا عَلَى الْحَوْضِ خَلِيفَتِي
wa-anta ghadan `alal ḥawḍi khalīfatī
And tomorrow you will be my deputy at the Pond
122
وَأَنْتَ تَقْضِيْ دَيْنِي
wa-anta taqḍī daynī
And you will fulfill my debts
123
وَتُنْجِزُ عِدَاتِي
watunjizu `idātī
And accomplish my promises
124
وَشِيعَتُكَ عَلَى مَنَابِرَ مِنْ نُورٍ
washī`atuka `alā manābira min nūr
And your followers will be upon pulpits of light
125
مُبْيَضَّةً وُجُوهُهُمْ حَوْلِيْ فِيْ الْجَنَّةِ
mubyaḍḍatan wujūhuhum ḥawlī fil jannah
With brightened faces, around me in Paradise
126
وَهُمْ جِيرَانِي
wahum jīrānī
And they will be my neighbors
127
وَلَوْلَا أَنْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ
walawlā anta yā `aliyy
And if not for you, O Ali
128
لَمْ يُعْرَفِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ بَعْدِي
lam yu`rafil mu-minūna ba`dī
The believers would not be recognized after me"
129
وَكَانَ بَعْدَهُ هُدًى مِنَ الضَّلالِ
wakāna ba`dahu hudan minaḍ ḍalāl
And he was after him a guide from misguidance
130
وَنُورًا مِنَ الْعَمىٰ
wanūran minal `amā
And a light from blindness
131
وَحَبْلَ اللَّهِ الْمَتِينَ
waḥablallāhil matīn
And the strong rope of Allah
132
وَصِرَاطَهُ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
waṣirāṭahul mustaqīm
And His straight path
133
لَا يُسْبَقُ بِقَرَابَةٍ فِيْ رَحِمٍ
lā yusbaqu biqarābatin fī raḥim
None could surpass him in kinship
134
وَلَا بِسَابِقَةٍ فِيْ دِينٍ
walā bisābiqatin fī dīn
Nor in precedence in religion
135
وَلَا يُلْحَقُ فِيْ مَنْقَبَةٍ مِنْ مَنَاقِبِهِ
walā yulḥaqu fī manqabatin min manāqibih
And none could match his virtues
136
يَحْذُوْ حَذْوَ الرَّسُولِ
yaḥdhū ḥadhwar rasūl
He followed the way of the Messenger
137
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَ آلِهِمَا
ṣallallāhu `alayhimā wa ālihimā
May Allah's blessings be upon them both and their families
138
وَيُقَاتِلُ عَلَى التَّأْوِيلِ
wayuqātilu `alat ta-wīl
And he fought based on interpretation
139
وَلَا تَأْخُذُهُ فِيْ اللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ
walā ta-khudhuhu fillāhi lawmatu lā-im
And in Allah's cause, he did not fear the blame of any blamer
140
قَدْ وَتَرَ فِيهِ صَنَادِيدَ الْعَرَبِ
qad watara fīhi ṣanādīdal `arab
He had slain the chiefs of the Arabs
141
وَقَتَلَ أَبْطَالَهُمْ
waqatala abṭālahum
And killed their heroes
142
وَنَاوَشَ ذُؤْبَانَهُمْ
wanāwasha dhu-bānahum
And confronted their wolves
143
فَأَوْدَعَ قُلُوبَهُمْ أَحْقَادًا
fa-awda`a qulūbahum aḥqādā
So he planted in their hearts hatred
144
بَدْرِيَّةً وَخَيْبَرِيَّةً وَحُنَيْنِيَّةً وَغَيْرَهُنَّ
badriyyatan wakhaybariyyatan waḥunayniyyatan waghayrahunn
From Badr, Khaybar, Hunayn and others
145
فَأَضَبَّتْ عَلَى عَدَاوَتِهِ
fa-aḍabbat `alā `adāwatih
So they harbored enmity against him
146
وَأَكَبَّتْ عَلَى مُنَابَذَتِهِ
wa-akabbat `alā munābadhatih
And persisted in opposing him
147
حَتَّىٰ قَتَلَ النَّاكِثِينَ وَالْقَاسِطِينَ وَالْمَارِقِينَ
ḥattā qatalan nākithīna walqāsiṭīna walmāriqīn
Until he killed those who broke their pledge, the unjust, and those who deviated
148
وَلَمَّا قَضىٰ نَحْبَهُ
walammā qaḍā naḥbah
And when he fulfilled his vow
149
وَقَتَلَهُ أَشْقَى الْآخِرِينَ يَتْبَعُ أَشْقَى الْأَوَّلِينَ
waqatalahu ashqal-ākhirīna yatba`u ashqal awwalīn
And was killed by the most wretched of the later ones, following the most wretched of the earlier ones
150
لَمْ يُمْتَثَلْ أَمْرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
lam yumtathal amru rasūlillāh
The command of the Messenger of Allah
151
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
May Allah's blessings be upon him and his family
152
فِيْ الْهَادِيْنَ بَعْدَ الْهَادِيْنَ
fil hādīna ba`dal hādīn
Was not obeyed regarding the guides after the guides
153
وَالْأُمَّةُ مُصِرَّةٌ عَلَى مَقْتِهِ
wal-ummatu muṣirratun `alā maqtih
And the nation persisted in their hatred for him
154
مُجْتَمِعَةٌ عَلَى قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمِهِ
mujtami`atun `alā qaṭī`ati raḥimih
Uniting upon severing relations with his family
155
وَإِقْصَاءِ وُلْدِهِ
wa-iqṣā-i wuldih
And excluding his children
156
إِلَّا الْقَلِيلَ مِمَّنْ وَفىٰ لِرِعَايَةِ الْحَقِّ فِيهِمْ
illal qalīla mimman wafā liri`āyatil ḥaqqi fīhim
Except for the few who fulfilled their duty to uphold the truth regarding them
157
فَقُتِلَ مَنْ قُتِلَ
faqutila man qutil
So some were killed
158
وَسُبِيَ مَنْ سُبِيَ
wasubiya man subiy
And some were taken captive
159
وَأُقْصِيَ مَنْ أُقْصِيَ
wa-uqṣiya man uqṣiy
And some were banished
160
وَجَرَى الْقَضَاءُ لَهُمْ
wajaral qaḍā-u lahum
And destiny prevailed for them
161
بِمَا يُرْجٰى لَهُ حُسْنُ الْمَثُوبَةِ
bimā yur-jā lahu ḥusnul mathūbah
With what is hoped to bring them good reward
162
إِذْ كَانَتِ الْأَرْضُ لِلّٰهِ
idh kānatil ar-ḍu lillāh
Since the earth belongs to Allah
163
يُورِثُهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ
yūrithuhā man yashā-u min `ibādih
He causes whoever He wills of His servants to inherit it
164
وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
wal`āqibatu lilmuttaqīn
And the final outcome is for the righteous
165
وَسُبْحَانَ رَبِّنَا
wasubḥāna rabbinā
And glory be to our Lord
166
إِنْ كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًا
in kāna wa`du rabbinā lamaf`ūlā
Indeed, the promise of our Lord will be fulfilled
167
وَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ
walan yukhlifallāhu wa`dah
And Allah will never break His promise
168
وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
wahuwal `azīzul ḥakīm
And He is the Mighty, the Wise
169
فَعَلَى الْأَطَائِبِ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ
fa`alal aṭā-ibi min ahli bayti muḥammadin wa`aliyy
So for the pure ones from the household of Muhammad and Ali
170
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَ آلِهِمَا
ṣallallāhu `alayhimā wa ālihimā
May Allah's blessings be upon them both and their families
171
فَلْيَبْكِ الْبَاكُونَ
falyabkil bākūn
Let the mourners weep
172
وَإِيَّاهُمْ فَلْيَنْدُبِ النَّادِبُونَ
wa-iyyāhum falyandubin nādibūn
And for them let the lamenters lament
173
وَلِمِثْلِهِمْ فَلْتَذْرِفِ الدُّمُوعُ
walimithlihim faltadhrifid dumū`
And for their like, let tears flow
174
وَلْيَصْرُخِ الصَّارِخُونَ
walyaṣrukhiṣ ṣārikhūn
And let the wailers cry out
175
وَيَضِجَّ الضَّاجُّونَ
wayaḍijjaḍ ḍājjūn
And let the distressed raise their voices
176
وَيَعِجَّ الْعَاجُّونَ
waya`ijjal `ājjūn
And let the supplicants earnestly call out
177
أَيْنَ الْحَسَنُ أَيْنَ الْحُسَيْنُ
aynal ḥasanu aynal ḥusayn
Where is Hasan? Where is Husayn?
178
أَيْنَ أَبْنَاءُ الْحُسَيْنِ
ayna abnā-ul ḥusayn
Where are the children of Husayn?
179
صَالِحٌ بَعْدَ صَالِحٍ
ṣāliḥun ba`da ṣāliḥ
One righteous one after another
180
وَصَادِقٌ بَعْدَ صَادِقٍ
waṣādiqun ba`da ṣādiq
And one truthful one after another
181
أَيْنَ السَّبِيلُ بَعْدَ السَّبِيلِ
aynas sabīlu ba`das sabīl
Where is the path after the path?
182
أَيْنَ الْخِيَرَةُ بَعْدَ الْخِيَرَةِ
aynal khiyaratu ba`dal khiyarah
Where is the chosen one after the chosen one?
183
أَيْنَ الشُّمُوسُ الطَّالِعَةُ
aynash shumūsuṭ ṭāli`ah
Where are the rising suns?
184
أَيْنَ الْأَقْمَارُ الْمُنِيرَةُ
aynal aqmārul munīrah
Where are the illuminating moons?
185
أَيْنَ الْأَنْجُمُ الزَّاهِرَةُ
aynal anjumuz zāhirah
Where are the brilliant stars?
186
أَيْنَ أَعْلاَمُ الدِّينِ
ayna a`lāmud dīn
Where are the standards of religion
187
وَقَوَاعِدُ الْعِلْمِ
waqawā`idul `ilm
And the foundations of knowledge?
188
أَيْنَ بَقِيَّةُ اللَّهِ
ayna baqiyyatullāh
Where is the Remnant of Allah
189
اَلَّتِيْ لَا تَخْلُوْ مِنَ الْعِتْرَةِ الْهَادِيَةِ
al latī lā takhlū minal `itratil hādiyah
Which is never devoid of the guiding progeny?
190
أَيْنَ الْمُعَدُّ لِقَطْعِ دَابِرِ الظَّلَمَةِ
aynal mu`addu liqaṭ`i dābiriẓ ẓalamah
Where is the one prepared to cut off the roots of the oppressors?
191
أَيْنَ الْمُنْتَظَرُ لِإِقَامَةِ الْأَمْتِ وَالْعِوَجِ
aynal muntaẓaru li-iqāmatil amti wal`iwaj
Where is the one awaited to straighten the crookedness?
192
أَيْنَ الْمُرْتَجٰى لِإِزَالَةِ الْجَوْرِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
aynal mur-tajā li-izālatil jawri wal`udwān
Where is the one hoped for to remove injustice and aggression?

أَيْنَ الْمُدَّخَرُ لِتَجْدِيْدِ الْفَرَائِضِ وَالسُّنَنِ
aynal muddakharu litajdīdil farā-iḍi was sunan
Where is the one saved for renewing the obligations and traditions?
194
أَيْنَ الْمُتَخَيَّرُ لِإِعَادَةِ الْمِلَّةِ وَالشَّرِيْعَةِ
aynal mutakhayyaru li-i`ādatil millati wash sharī`ah
Where is the one chosen to restore the religion and law?

أَيْنَ الْمُؤَمَّلُ لِإِحْيَاءِ الْكِتَابِ وَحُدُودِهِ
aynal mu-ammalu li-iḥyā-il kitābi waḥudūdih
Where is the one hoped for to revive the Book and its limits?
196
أَيْنَ مُحْيِيْ مَعَالِمِ الدِّينِ وَأَهْلِهِ
ayna muḥyī ma`ālimid dīni wa-ahlih
Where is the reviver of the features of the religion and its people?
197
أَيْنَ قَاصِمُ شَوْكَةِ الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ
ayna qāṣimu shawkatil mu`tadīn
Where is the breaker of the might of the transgressors?
198
أَيْنَ هَادِمُ أَبْنِيَةِ الشِّرْكِ وَالنِّفَاقِ
ayna hādimu abniyatish shir-ki wan nifāq
Where is the demolisher of the edifices of polytheism and hypocrisy?

أَيْنَ مُبِيدُ أَهْلِ الْفُسُوقِ
ayna mubīdu ahlil fusūq
Where is the destroyer of the people of immorality
200
وَالْعِصْيَانِ وَالطُّغْيَانِ
wal`iṣyāni waṭ ṭughyān
And disobedience and tyranny?
201
أَيْنَ حَاصِدُ فُرُوعِ الْغَيِّ وَالشِّقَاقِ
ayna ḥāṣidu furū`il ghayyi wash shiqāq
Where is the harvester of the branches of error and discord?
202
أَيْنَ طَامِسُ آثَارِ الزَّيْغِ وَالْأَهْوَاءِ
ayna ṭāmisu-āthāriz zayghi wal-ahwā
Where is the effacer of the traces of deviation and desires?

أَيْنَ قَاطِعُ حَبَائِلِ الْكِذْبِ وَالْإِفْتِرَاءِ
ayna qāṭi`u ḥabā-ilil kidhbi wal-iftirā
Where is the severer of the ropes of falsehood and fabrication?
204
أَيْنَ مُبِيدُ الْعُتَاةِ وَالْمَرَدَةِ
ayna mubīdul `utāti walmaradah
Where is the destroyer of the insolent and the rebellious?
205
أَيْنَ مُسْتَأْصِلُ أَهْلِ الْعِنَادِ وَالتَّضْلِيلِ وَالْإِلْحَادِ
ayna musta-ṣilu ahlil `inādi wat taḍlīli wal-ilḥād
Where is the eradicator of the people of obstinacy, misguidance, and atheism?
206
أَيْنَ مُعِزُّ الْأَوْلِيَاءِ وَمُذِلُّ الْأَعْدَاءِ
ayna mu`izzul awliyā-i wamudhillul a`dā
Where is the strengthener of the friends and humiliator of the enemies?
207
أَيْنَ جَامِعُ الْكَلِمَةِ عَلَى التَّقْوٰى
ayna jāmi`ul kalimati `alat taqwā
Where is the unifier of the word on righteousness?
208
أَيْنَ بَابُ اللَّهِ الَّذِيْ مِنْهُ يُؤْتىٰ
ayna bābullāhil ladhī minhu yu-tā
Where is the gate of Allah through which He is approached?
209
أَيْنَ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ الَّذِيْ إِلَيْهِ يَتَوَجَّهُ الْأَوْلِيَاءُ
ayna wajhullāhil ladhī ilayhi yatawajjahul awliyā
Where is the countenance of Allah to which the friends turn?
210
أَيْنَ السَّبَبُ الْمُتَّصِلُ بَيْنَ الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاءِ
aynas sababul muttaṣilu baynal ar-ḍi was samā
Where is the means connected between earth and heaven?
211
أَيْنَ صَاحِبُ يَوْمِ الْفَتْحِ
ayna ṣāḥibu yawmil fat-ḥ
Where is the master of the day of victory
212
وَنَاشِرُ رَايَةِ الْهُدىٰ
wanāshiru rāyatil hudā
And the spreader of the banner of guidance?
213
أَيْنَ مُؤَلِّفُ شَمْلِ الصَّلاحِ وَالرِّضَا
ayna mu-allifu shamliṣ ṣalāḥi war riḍā
Where is the uniter of the harmony of righteousness and satisfaction?
214
أَيْنَ الطَّالِبُ بِذُحُولِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَأَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ
aynaṭ ṭālibu bidhuḥūlil anbiyā-i wa-abnā-il anbiyā
Where is the seeker of vengeance for the prophets and the children of the prophets?

أَيْنَ الطَّالِبُ بِدَمِ الْمَقْتُوْلِ بِكَرْبَلَاءَ
aynaṭ ṭālibu bidamil maqtūli bikar-balā
Where is the seeker of blood for the one slain at Karbala?
216
أَيْنَ الْمَنْصُورُ عَلَى مَنِ اعْتَدىٰ عَلَيْهِ وَافْتَرىٰ
aynal manṣūru `alā mani`tadā `alayhi waftarā
Where is the one victorious over those who transgressed against him and slandered him?
217
أَيْنَ الْمُضْطَرُّ الَّذِيْ يُجَابُ إِذَا دَعَا
aynal muḍṭarrul ladhī yujābu idhā da`ā
Where is the distressed one who is answered when he calls?
218
أَيْنَ صَدْرُ الْخَلائِقِ ذُوْ الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوٰى
ayna ṣadrul khalā-iqi dhul birri wat taqwā
Where is the foremost of creation, possessor of righteousness and piety?
219
أَيْنَ ابْنُ النَّبِيِّ الْمُصْطَفىٰ
aynabnun nabiyyil muṣṭafā
Where is the son of the chosen Prophet
220
وَابْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضىٰ
wabnu `aliyyinal mur-taḍā
And the son of Ali, the pleased one
221
وَابْنُ خَدِيجَةَ الْغَرَّاءِ
wabnu khadījatal gharrā
And the son of Khadijah, the radiant
222
وَابْنُ فَاطِمَةَ الْكُبْرىٰ
wabnu fāṭimatal kubrā
And the son of Fatima, the greatest?
223
بِأَبِيْ أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي
bi-abī anta wa-ummī
May my father and mother be sacrificed for you
224
وَنَفْسِيْ لَكَ الْوِقَاءُ وَالْحِمىٰ
wanafsī lakal wiqā-u walḥimā
And my soul be your protection and defense
225
يَا بْنَ السَّادَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
yabnas sādatil muqarrabīn
O son of the noble masters
226
يَا بْنَ النُّجَبَاءِ الْأَكْرَمِيْنَ
yabnan nujabā-il akramīn
O son of the most honorable ones
227
يَا بْنَ الْهُدَاةِ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ
yabnal hudātil mahdiyyīn
O son of the guiding guides
228
يَا بْنَ الْخِيَرَةِ الْمُهَذَّبِينَ
yabnal khiyaratil muhadhhabīn
O son of the refined chosen ones
229
يَا بْنَ الْغَطَارِفَةِ الْأَنْجَبِينَ
yabnal ghaṭārifatil anjabīn
O son of the most noble distinguished ones
230
يَا بْنَ الْأَطَائِبِ الْمُطَهَّرِينَ
yabnal aṭā-ibil muṭahharīn
O son of the purified excellent ones
231
يَا بْنَ الْخَضَارِمَةِ الْمُنْتَجَبِينَ
yabnal khaḍārimatil muntajabīn
O son of the selected generous ones
232
يَا بْنَ الْقَمَاقِمَةِ الْأَكْرَمِيْنَ
yabnal qamāqimatil akramīn
O son of the most honorable noble ones
233
يَا بْنَ الْبُدُورِ الْمُنِيرَةِ
yabnal budūril munīrah
O son of the illuminating moons
234
يَا بْنَ السُّرُجِ الْمُضِيئَةِ
yabnas surujil muḍī-ah
O son of the shining lamps
235
يَا بْنَ الشُّهُبِ الثَّاقِبَةِ
yabnash shuhubith thāqibah
O son of the piercing flames
236
يَا بْنَ الْأَنْجُمِ الزَّاهِرَةِ
yabnal anjumiz zāhirah
O son of the brilliant stars
237
يَا بْنَ السُّبُلِ الْوَاضِحَةِ
yabnas subulil wāḍiḥah
O son of the clear paths
238
يَا بْنَ الْأَعْلاَمِ اللَّائِحَةِ
yabnal a`lāmil lā-iḥah
O son of the evident standards
239
يَا بْنَ الْعُلُومِ الْكَامِلَةِ
yabnal `ulūmil kāmilah
O son of the perfect sciences
240
يَا بْنَ السُّنَنِ الْمَشْهُورَةِ
yabnas sunanil mash-hūrah
O son of the renowned traditions
241
يَا بْنَ الْمَعَالِمِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ
yabnal ma`ālimil ma-thūrah
O son of the preserved landmarks
242
يَا بْنَ الْمُعْجِزَاتِ الْمَوْجُودَةِ
yabnal mu`jizātil mawjūdah
O son of the existing miracles
243
يَا بْنَ الدَّلائِلِ الْمَشْهُودَةِ
yabnad dalā-ilil mash-hūdah
O son of the witnessed proofs
244
يَا بْنَ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ
yabnaṣ ṣirāṭil mustaqīm
O son of the straight path
245
يَا بْنَ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ
yabnan naba-il `aẓīm
O son of the great news
246
يَا بْنَ مَنْ هُوَ فِيْ أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَى اللَّهِ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ
yabna man huwa fī ummil kitābi ladallāhi `aliyyun ḥakīm
O son of the one who, in the Mother of the Book with Allah, is exalted and wise

يَا بْنَ الْآيَاتِ وَالْبَيِّنَاتِ
yabnal-āyāti walbayyināt
O son of the signs and clear proofs
248
يَا بْنَ الدَّلائِلِ الظَّاهِرَاتِ
yabnad dalā-iliẓ ẓāhirāt
O son of the apparent evidences
249
يَا بْنَ الْبَرَاهِينِ الْوَاضِحَاتِ الْبَاهِرَاتِ
yabnal barāhīnil wāḍiḥātil bāhirāt
O son of the clear and dazzling arguments
250
يَا بْنَ الْحُجَجِ الْبَالِغَاتِ
yabnal ḥujajil bālighāt
O son of the conclusive proofs
251
يَا بْنَ النِّعَمِ السَّابِغَاتِ
yabnan ni`amis sābighāt
O son of the abundant blessings
252
يَا بْنَ طٰهٰ وَالْمُحْكَمَاتِ
yabna ṭāhā walmuḥkamāt
O son of Ta-Ha and the decisive verses

يَا بْنَ يس وَالذَّارِيَاتِ
yabna yāsīn wadh dhāriyāt
O son of Ya-Sin and the Scatterers
254
يَا بْنَ الطُّورِ وَالْعَادِيَاتِ
yabnaṭ ṭūri wal`ādiyāt
O son of the Mount and the Chargers
255
يَا بْنَ مَنْ دَنَا فَتَدَلّىٰ
yabna man danā fatadallā
O son of the one who drew near and came down
256
فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنىٰ
fakāna qāba qawsayni aw adnā
So he was at the distance of two bows' length or nearer
257
دُنُوًّا وَاقْتِرَابًا مِنَ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلٰى
dunuwwan waqtirāban minal `aliyyil a`lā
In nearness and proximity to the Most High, the Most Exalted
258
لَيْتَ شِعْرِيْ أَيْنَ اسْتَقَرَّتْ بِكَ النَّوٰى
layta shi`rī aynastaqarrat bikan nawā
I wish I knew where you have settled
259
بَلْ أَيُّ أَرْضٍ تُقِلُّكَ أَوْ ثَرىٰ
bal ayyu ar-ḍin tuqilluka aw tharā
Rather, which land carries you or which soil
260
أَبِرَضْوٰى أَوْ غَيْرِهَا أَمْ ذِيْ طُوٰى
abiraḍwā aw ghayrihā am dhī ṭuwā
Is it Radwa or elsewhere, or Dhi Tuwa?
261
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَرَى الْخَلْقَ وَلَا تُرىٰ
`azīzun `alayya an aral khalqa walā turā
It is hard for me to see creation but not see you
262
وَلَا أَسْمَعُ لَكَ حَسِيْسًا وَلَا نَجْوٰى
walā asma`u laka ḥasīsan walā najwā
And not to hear any whisper or secret conversation from you
263
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ أَنْ تُحِيطَ بِكَ دُوْنِيَ الْبَلْوٰى
`azīzun `alayya an tuḥīṭa bika dūniyal balwā
It is hard for me that calamities surround you without me
264
وَلَا يَنَالُكَ مِنِّيْ ضَجِيْجٌ وَلَا شَكْوٰى
walā yanāluka minnī ḍajījun walā shakwā
And that no cry or complaint from me reaches you
265
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ مِنْ مُغَيَّبٍ لَمْ يَخْلُ مِنَّا
binafsī anta min mughayyabin lam yakhlu minnā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O hidden one who is not absent from us
266
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ مِنْ نَازِحٍ مَا نَزَحَ عَنَّا
binafsī anta min nāziḥin mā nazaḥa `annā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O distant one who has not departed from us
267
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ أُمْنِيَّةُ شَائِقٍ يَتَمَنَّى
binafsī anta umniyyatu shā-iqin yatamannā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O wish of every yearning one
268
مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ ذَكَرَا فَحَنَّا
min mu-minin wamu-minatin dhakarā faḥannā
From believing men and women who remember and long
269
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عَقِيدِ عِزٍّ لَا يُسَامَى
binafsī anta min `aqīdi `izzin lā yusāmā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O possessor of unrivaled glory
270
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ مِنْ أَثِيلِ مَجْدٍ لَا يُجَارَى
binafsī anta min athīli majdin lā yujārā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O owner of unmatched nobility
271
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ مِنْ تِلادِ نِعَمٍ لَا تُضَاهَى
binafsī anta min tilādi ni`amin lā tuḍāhā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O possessor of incomparable blessings
272
بِنَفْسِيْ أَنْتَ مِنْ نَصِيفِ شَرَفٍ لَا يُسَاوٰى
binafsī anta min naṣīfi sharafin lā yusāwā
May my soul be sacrificed for you, O owner of unequaled honor

إِلٰى مَتىٰ أَحَارُ فِيكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ وَإِلٰى مَتَى
ilā matā aḥāru fīka yā mawlāya wa-ilā matā
Until when will I remain confused about you, my master, and until when?
274
وَأَيَّ خِطَابٍ أَصِفُ فِيكَ وَأَيَّ نَجْوٰى
wa-ayya khiṭābin aṣifu fīka wa-ayya najwā
And what words shall I describe you with, and what intimate conversation?
275
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أُجَابَ دُونَكَ وَأُنَاغَى
`azīzun `alayya an ujāba dūnaka wa-unāghā
It is hard for me to be answered without you and to be spoken to
276
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَبْكِيَكَ وَيَخْذُلَكَ الْوَرَى
`azīzun `alayya an abkiyaka wayakhdhulakal warā
It is hard for me to weep for you while creation forsakes you
277
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ أَنْ يَجْرِيَ عَلَيْكَ دُونَهُمْ مَا جَرَى
`azīzun `alayya an yajriya `alayka dūnahum mā jarā
It is hard for me that what happened to you did not happen to others
278
هَلْ مِنْ مُعِينٍ فَأُطِيلَ مَعَهُ الْعَوِيلَ وَالْبُكَاءَ
hal min mu`īnin fa-uṭīla ma`ahul `awīla walbukā
Is there any helper with whom I can prolong my wailing and crying?
279
هَلْ مِنْ جَزُوعٍ فَأُسَاعِدَ جَزَعَهُ إِذَا خَلَا
hal min jazū`in fa-usā`ida jaza`ahu idhā khalā
Is there any mourner whose grief I can share when alone?
280
هَلْ قَذِيَتْ عَيْنٌ فَسَاعَدَتْهَا عَيْنِيْ عَلَى الْقَذَى
hal qadhiyat `aynun fasā`adat-hā `aynī `alal qadhā
Is there any eye that has been afflicted, so my eye can help it with tears?
281
هَلْ إِلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَحْمَدَ سَبِيلٌ فَتُلْقَى
hal ilayka yabna aḥmada sabīlun fatulqā
Is there a way to you, O son of Ahmad, that I may follow?
282
هَلْ يَتَّصِلُ يَوْمُنَا مِنْكَ بِعِدَةٍ فَنَحْظَى
hal yattaṣilu yawmunā minka bi`idatin fanaḥẓā
Is there a promise from you by which our day will be connected, so we may attain it?
283
مَتىٰ نَرِدُ مَنَاهِلَكَ الرَّوِيَّةَ فَنَرْوٰى
matā naridu manāhilakar rawiyyata fanar-wā
When will we come to your refreshing springs and drink?
284
مَتىٰ نَنْتَقِعُ مِنْ عَذْبِ مَائِكَ
matā nantaqi`u min `adhbi mā-ik
When will we quench our thirst from your sweet water?
285
فَقَدْ طَالَ الصَّدَى
faqad ṭālaṣ ṣadā
For the thirst has been prolonged
286
مَتىٰ نُغَادِيْكَ وَنُرَاوِحُكَ فَنُقِرَّ عَيْنًا
matā nughādīka wanurāwiḥuka fanuqirra `aynā
When will we come to you morning and evening and be delighted?
287
مَتىٰ تَرَانَا وَنَرَاكَ وَقَدْ نَشَرْتَ لِوَاءَ النَّصْرِ تُرَى
matā tarānā wanarāka waqad nashar-ta liwā-an naṣri turā
When will you see us and we see you, while you have raised the banner of victory?
288
أَتَرَانَا نَحُفُّ بِكَ وَأَنْتَ تَؤُمُّ الْمَلَأَ
atarānā naḥuffu bika wa-anta ta-ummul mala-a
Will I see us surrounding you while you lead the multitudes?
289
وَقَدْ مَلَأْتَ الْأَرْضَ عَدْلًا
waqad mala-tal ar-ḍa `adlā
Having filled the earth with justice
290
وَأَذَقْتَ أَعْدَاءَكَ هَوَانًا وَعِقَابًا
wa-adhaqta a`dā-aka hawānan wa`iqābā
And having made your enemies taste humiliation and punishment
291
وَأَبَرْتَ الْعُتَاةَ وَجَحَدَةَ الْحَقِّ
wa-abar-tal `utāta wajaḥadatal ḥaqq
And destroyed the insolent and those who rejected the truth
292
وَقَطَعْتَ دَابِرَ الْمُتَكَبِّرِيْنَ
waqaṭa`ta dābiral mutakabbirīn
And cut off the roots of the arrogant
293
وَاجْتَثَثْتَ أُصُولَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
wajtathathta uṣūlaẓ ẓālimīn
And uprooted the foundations of the oppressors
294
وَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
wanaḥnu naqūlul ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil `ālamīn
While we say: "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds"
295
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ كَشَّافُ الْكُرَبِ وَالْبَلْوٰى
allāhumma anta kashhāful kurabi walbalwā
O Allah, You are the remover of afflictions and trials
296
وَإِلَيْكَ أَسْتَعْدِيْ فَعِنْدَكَ الْعَدْوٰى
wa-ilayka asta`dī fa`indakal `adwā
And to You I seek redress, for with You is justice
297
وَأَنْتَ رَبُّ الْآخِرَةِ وَالدُّنْيَا
wa-anta rabbul-ākhirati wad dunyā
And You are the Lord of the Hereafter and this world
298
فَأَغِثْ يَا غِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ عُبَيْدَكَ الْمُبْتَلَى
fa-aghith yā ghiyāthal mustaghīthīna `ubaydakal mubtalā
So help, O Helper of those who seek help, Your afflicted servant
299
وَأَرِهِ سَيِّدَهُ يَا شَدِيدَ الْقُوٰى
wa-arihi sayyidahu yā shadīdal quwā
And show him his master, O Mighty in Power
300
وَأَزِلْ عَنْهُ بِهِ الْأَسٰى وَالْجَوٰى
wa-azil `anhu bihil asā waljawā
And remove from him through him grief and sorrow
301
وَبَرِّدْ غَلِيلَهُ يَا مَنْ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوٰى
wabarrid ghalīlahu yā man `alal `ar-shistawā
And cool his burning thirst, O You who is established on the Throne
302
وَمَنْ إِلَيْهِ الرُّجْعىٰ وَالْمُنْتَهَى
waman ilayhir ruj`ā walmuntahā
And to whom is the return and the ultimate end
303
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَنَحْنُ عَبِيدُكَ التَّائِقُونَ إِلٰى وَلِيِّكَ
allāhumma wanaḥnu `abīdukat tā-iqūna ilā waliyyik
O Allah, we are Your servants, yearning for Your friend
304
اَلْمُذَكِّرِ بِكَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ
al mudhakkiri bika wabinabiyyik
Who reminds us of You and Your Prophet
305
خَلَقْتَهُ لَنَا عِصْمَةً وَمَلَاذًا
khalaqtahu lanā `iṣmatan wamalādhā
You created him for us as a protection and refuge
306
وَأَقَمْتَهُ لَنَا قِوَامًا وَمَعَاذًا
wa-aqamtahu lanā qiwāman wama`ādhā
And established him for us as a pillar and a shelter
307
وَجَعَلْتَهُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ مِنَّا إِمَامًا
waja`altahu lilmu-minīna minnā imāmā
And made him for the believers among us an Imam
308
فَبَلِّغْهُ مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَامًا
faballigh-hu minnā taḥiyyatan wasalāmā
So convey to him from us greetings and peace
309
وَزِدْنَا بِذٰلِكَ يَا رَبِّ إِكْرَامًا
wazidnā bidhālika yā rabbi ikrāmā
And increase us through that, O Lord, in honor
310
وَاجْعَلْ مُسْتَقَرَّهُ لَنَا مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
waj`al mustaqarrahu lanā mustaqarran wamuqāmā
And make his settlement for us a settlement and residence
311
وَأَتْمِمْ نِعْمَتَكَ بِتَقْدِيْمِكَ إِيَّاهُ أَمَامَنَا
wa-atmim ni`mataka bitaqdīmika iyyāhu amāmanā
And complete Your blessing by bringing him forward as our leader
312
حَتّٰى تُوْرِدَنَا جِنَانَكَ
ḥattā tūridanā jinānak
Until You make us enter Your paradise
313
وَمُرَافَقَةَ الشُّهَدَاءِ مِنْ خُلَصَائِكَ
wamurāfaqatash shuhadā-i min khulaṣā-ik
And the companionship of the martyrs from Your sincere ones
314
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
315
وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ جَدِّهِ وَرَسُولِكَ
waṣalli `alā muḥammadin jaddihi warasūlik
And send blessings upon Muhammad, his grandfather and Your messenger
316
اَلسَّيِّدِ الْأَكْبَرِ
as sayyidil akbar
The greatest master
317
وَعَلَى أَبِيْهِ السَّيِّدِ الْأَصْغَرِ
wa`alā abīhis sayyidil aṣghar
And upon his father, the lesser master
318
وَجَدَّتِهِ الصِّدِّيقَةِ الْكُبْرَى
wajaddatihiṣ ṣiddīqatil kubrā
And upon his grandmother, the greater truthful one
319
فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ
fāṭimata binti muḥammad
Fatima, daughter of Muhammad
320
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
May Allah's blessings be upon him and his family
321
وَعَلَى مَنِ اصْطَفَيْتَ مِنْ آبَائِهِ الْبَرَرَةِ
wa`alā maniṣṭafayta min-ābā-ihil bararah
And upon those whom You have chosen from his righteous forefathers
322
وَعَلَيْهِ أَفْضَلَ وَأَكْمَلَ
wa`alayhi afḍala wa-akmal
And upon him, the most excellent, most perfect
323
وَأَتَمَّ وَأَدْوَمَ
wa-atamma wa-adwam
Most complete, most lasting
324
وَأَكْثَرَ وَأَوْفَرَ
wa-akthara wa-awfar
Most abundant, most plentiful
325
مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْفِيَائِكَ
mā ṣallayta `alā aḥadin min aṣfiyā-ik
Of the blessings You have bestowed upon any of Your chosen ones
326
وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
wakhiyaratika min khalqik
And Your selected ones from Your creation
327
وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاةً لَا غَايَةَ لِعَدَدِهَا
waṣalli `alayhi ṣalātan lā ghāyata li`adadihā
And bless him with blessings that have no limit in number
328
وَلَا نِهَايَةَ لِمَدَدِهَا
walā nihāyata limadadihā
And no end in duration
329
وَلَا نَفَادَ لِأَمَدِهَا
walā nafāda li-amadihā
And no termination in time
330
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَأَقِمْ بِهِ الْحَقَّ
allāhumma wa-aqim bihil ḥaqq
O Allah, establish through him truth
331
وَأَدْحِضْ بِهِ الْبَاطِلَ
wa-ad-ḥiḍ bihil bāṭil
And nullify through him falsehood
332
وَأَدِلْ بِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَكَ
wa-adil bihi awliyā-ak
And give victory through him to Your friends
333
وَأَذْلِلْ بِهِ أَعْدَاءَكَ
wa-adhlil bihi a`dā-ak
And humiliate through him Your enemies
334
وَصِلِ اللَّهُمَّ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ
waṣilillāhumma baynanā wabaynah
And connect, O Allah, between us and him
335
وُصْلَةً تُؤَدِّيْ إِلٰى مُرَافَقَةِ سَلَفِهِ
wuṣlatan tu-addī ilā murāfaqati salafih
A connection that leads to accompanying his ancestors
336
وَاجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ يَأْخُذُ بِحُجْزَتِهِمْ
waj`alnā mimman ya-khudhu biḥujzatihim
And make us among those who hold fast to them
337
وَيَمْكُثُ فِيْ ظِلِّهِمْ
wayamkuthu fī ẓillihim
And remain in their shade
338
وَأَعِنَّا عَلَى تَأْدِيَةِ حُقُوقِهِ إِلَيْهِ
wa-a`innā `alā ta-diyati ḥuqūqihi ilayh
And help us to fulfill his rights to him
339
وَالْاِجْتِهَادِ فِيْ طَاعَتِهِ
wal-ijtihādi fī ṭā`atih
And to strive in his obedience
340
وَاجْتِنَابِ مَعْصِيَتِهِ
wajtinābi ma`ṣiyatih
And to avoid his disobedience
341
وَامْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِرِضَاهُ
wamnun `alaynā biriḍāh
And bestow upon us his pleasure
342
وَهَبْ لَنَا رَأْفَتَهُ وَرَحْمَتَهُ
wahab lanā ra-fatahu waraḥmatah
And grant us his compassion and mercy
343
وَدُعَاءَهُ وَخَيْرَهُ
wadu`ā-ahu wakhayrah
And his supplication and goodness
344
مَا نَنَالُ بِهِ سَعَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ
mā nanālu bihi sa`atan min raḥmatik
By which we attain abundance of Your mercy
345
وَفَوْزًا عِنْدَكَ
wafawzan `indak
And success with You
346
وَاجْعَلْ صَلاتَنَا بِهِ مَقْبُولَةً
waj`al ṣalātanā bihi maqbūlah
And make our prayers through him accepted
347
وَذُنُوبَنَا بِهِ مَغْفُورَةً
wadhunūbanā bihi maghfūrah
And our sins through him forgiven
348
وَدُعَاءَنَا بِهِ مُسْتَجَابًا
wadu`ā-anā bihi mustajābā
And our supplications through him answered
349
وَاجْعَلْ أَرْزَاقَنَا بِهِ مَبْسُوطَةً
waj`al ar-zāqanā bihi mabsūṭah
And make our provisions through him abundant
350
وَهُمُومَنَا بِهِ مَكْفِيَّةً
wahumūmanā bihi makfiyyah
And our concerns through him taken care of
351
وَحَوَائِجَنَا بِهِ مَقْضِيَّةً
waḥawā-ijanā bihi maqḍiyyah
And our needs through him fulfilled
352
وَأَقْبِلْ إِلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ
wa-aqbil ilaynā biwajhikal karīm
And turn to us with Your noble face
353
وَاقْبَلْ تَقَرُّبَنَا إِلَيْكَ
waqbal taqarrubanā ilayk
And accept our drawing near to You
354
وَانْظُرْ إِلَيْنَا نَظْرَةً رَحِيمَةً
wanẓur ilaynā naẓratan raḥīmah
And look at us with a merciful glance
355
نَسْتَكْمِلُ بِهَا الْكَرَامَةَ عِنْدَكَ
nastakmilu bihal karāmata `indak
By which we attain complete honor with You
356
ثُمَّ لَا تَصْرِفْهَا عَنَّا بِجُودِكَ
thumma lā taṣrifhā `annā bijūdik
Then do not turn it away from us by Your generosity
357
وَاسْقِنَا مِنْ حَوْضِ جَدِّهِ
wasqinā min ḥawḍi jaddih
And give us to drink from the pool of his grandfather
358
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
May Allah's blessings be upon him and his family
359
بِكَأْسِهِ وَبِيَدِهِ
bika-sihi wabiyadih
From his cup and by his hand
360
رَيًّا رَوِيًّا
rayyan rawiyyā
A satisfying, pleasant
361
هَنِيئًا سَائِغًا
hanī-an sā-ighā
Wholesome, delightful drink
362
لَا ظَمَأَ بَعْدَهُ
lā ẓama-a ba`dah
After which there will be no thirst
363
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful
