بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ الْأَعْظَمِ
allāhumma innī as-aluka bismikal `aẓīmil a`ẓam
O Allah, I ask You by Your Great, Greatest Name
2
اَلْأَعَزِّ الْأَجَلِّ الْأَكْرَمِ
al a`azzil ajallil akram
The Most Mighty, Most Glorious, Most Generous
3
اَلَّذِيْ إِذَا دُعِيتَ بِهِ عَلَى مَغَالِقِ أَبْوَابِ السَّمَاءِ لِلْفَتْحِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ انْفَتَحَتْ
al ladhī idhā du`īta bihi `alā maghāliqi abwābis samā-i lilfat-ḥi birraḥmatinfataḥat
Which when You are called upon by it to open the locked gates of heaven for mercy, they open
4
وَ إِذَا دُعِيتَ بِهِ عَلَى مَضَائِقِ أَبْوَابِ الْأَرْضِ لِلْفَرَجِ انْفَرَجَتْ
wa idhā du`īta bihi `alā maḍā-iqi abwābil ar-ḍi lilfarajinfarajat
And when You are called upon by it to relieve the constrictions of earth, they are relieved
5
وَ إِذَا دُعِيتَ بِهِ عَلَى الْعُسْرِ لِلْيُسْرِ تَيَسَّرَتْ
wa idhā du`īta bihi `alal `usri lilyusri tayassarat
And when You are called upon by it to ease difficulties, they become easy
6
وَ إِذَا دُعِيتَ بِهِ عَلَى الْأَمْوَاتِ لِلنُّشُورِ انْتَشَرَتْ
wa idhā du`īta bihi `alal amwāti linnushūrintasharat
And when You are called upon by it to resurrect the dead, they are raised
7
وَ إِذَا دُعِيتَ بِهِ عَلَى كَشْفِ الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ انْكَشَفَتْ
wa idhā du`īta bihi `alā kashfil ba-sā-i waḍ ḍarrā-inkashafat
And when You are called upon by it to remove hardship and affliction, they are removed
8
وَبِجَلالِ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ
wabijalāli wajhikal karīm
And by the majesty of Your Generous Face
9
أَكْرَمِ الْوُجُوهِ وَأَعَزِّ الْوُجُوهِ
akramil wujūhi wa-a`azzil wujūh
The Most Generous and Most Mighty of all faces
10
اَلَّذِيْ عَنَتْ لَهُ الْوُجُوهُ
al ladhī `anat lahul wujūh
To which all faces humble themselves
11
وَخَضَعَتْ لَهُ الرِّقَابُ
wakhaḍa`at lahur riqāb
And before which all necks bow
12
وَخَشَعَتْ لَهُ الْأَصْوَاتُ
wakhasha`at lahul aṣwāt
And before which all voices are hushed
13
وَوَجِلَتْ لَهُ الْقُلُوبُ مِنْ مَخَافَتِكَ
wawajilat lahul qulūbu min makhāfatik
And before which all hearts tremble out of fear of You
14
وَبِقُوَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ بِهَا
wabiquwwatikal latī bihā
And by Your power by which
15
تُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِكَ
tumsikus samā-a an taqa`a `alal ar-ḍi illā bi-idhnik
You hold the sky from falling onto the earth except by Your permission
16
وَتُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ أَنْ تَزُولاَ
watumsikus samāwāti wal-ar-ḍa an tazūlā
And You hold the heavens and earth from moving away
17
وَبِمَشِييَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ دَانَ لَهَا الْعَالَمُوْنَ
wabimashīyyatikal latī dāna lahal `ālamūn
And by Your will to which all worlds submit
18
وَبِكَلِمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ خَلَقْتَ بِهَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ
wabikalimatikal latī khalaqta bihas samāwāti wal-ar-ḍ
And by Your word by which You created the heavens and the earth
19
وَبِحِكْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ صَنَعْتَ بِهَا الْعَجَائِبَ
wabiḥikmatikal latī ṣana`ta bihal `ajā-ib
And by Your wisdom with which You created wonders
20
وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا الظُّلْمَةَ وَجَعَلْتَهَا لَيْلًا
wakhalaqta bihaẓ ẓulmata waja`altahā laylā
And created darkness and made it night
21
وَجَعَلْتَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا
waja`altal layla sakanā
And made the night a time of rest
22
وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا النُّورَ وَجَعَلْتَهُ نَهَارًا
wakhalaqta bihan nūra waja`altahu nahārā
And created light and made it day
23
وَجَعَلْتَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا مُبْصِرًا
waja`altan nahāra nushūran mubṣirā
And made the day a time of awakening and visibility
24
وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا الشَّمْسَ وَجَعَلْتَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاءً
wakhalaqta bihash shamsa waja`altash shamsa ḍiyā-ā
And created the sun and made the sun radiant
25
وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا الْقَمَرَ وَجَعَلْتَ الْقَمَرَ نُورًا
wakhalaqta bihal qamara waja`altal qamara nūrā
And created the moon and made the moon a light
26
وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا الْكَوَاكِبَ
wakhalaqta bihal kawākib
And created the stars
27
وَجَعَلْتَهَا نُجُومًا وَبُرُوجًا وَمَصَابِيحَ وَزِينةً وَرُجُومًا
waja`altahā nujūman waburūjan wamaṣābīḥa wazīntan warujūmā
And made them stars, constellations, lamps, adornment, and missiles
28
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهَا مَشَارِقَ وَمَغَارِبَ
waja`alta lahā mashāriqa wamaghārib
And assigned them rising and setting places
29
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهَا مَطَالِعَ وَمَجَارِي
waja`alta lahā maṭāli`a wamajārī
And assigned them places of ascent and courses
30
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهَا فَلَكًا وَمَسَابِحَ
waja`alta lahā falakan wamasābiḥ
And assigned them orbits and paths
31
وَقَدَّرْتَهَا فِيْ السَّمَاءِ مَنَازِلَ فَأَحْسَنْتَ تَقْدِيرَهَا
waqaddar-tahā fis samā-i manāzila fa-aḥsanta taqdīrahā
And ordained for them stations in the sky, arranging them excellently
32
وَصَوَّرْتَهَا فَأَحْسَنْتَ تَصْوِيرَهَا
waṣawwar-tahā fa-aḥsanta taṣwīrahā
And formed them, giving them excellent form
33
وَأَحْصَيْتَهَا بِأَسْمَائِكَ إِحْصَاءً
wa-aḥṣaytahā bi-asmā-ika iḥṣā-ā
And enumerated them by Your names completely
34
وَدَبَّرْتَهَا بِحِكْمَتِكَ تَدْبِيرًا فَأَحْسَنْتَ تَدْبِيرَهَا
wadabbar-tahā biḥikmatika tadbīran fa-aḥsanta tadbīrahā
And managed them with Your wisdom excellently
35
وَسَخَّرْتَهَا بِسُلْطَانِ اللَّيْلِ وَسُلْطَانِ النَّهَارِ
wasakhhar-tahā bisulṭānil layli wasulṭānin nahār
And subjected them to the authority of night and the authority of day
36
وَالسَّاعَاتِ وَعَدَدِ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابِ
was sā`āti wa`adadis sinīna walḥisāb
And hours and count of years and calculation
37
وَجَعَلْتَ رُؤْيَتَهَا لِجَمِيعِ النَّاسِ مَرْئً وَاحِدًا
waja`alta ru-yatahā lijamī`in nāsi mar-an wāḥidā
And made their appearance to all people appear as one
38
وَأَسْأَلُكَ اللَّهُمَّ بِمَجْدِكَ
wa-as-alukallāhumma bimajdik
And I ask You, O Allah, by Your glory
39
اَلَّذِيْ كَلَّمْتَ بِهِ عَبْدَكَ وَرَسُولَكَ مُوْسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ فِيْ الْمُقَدَّسِينَ
al ladhī kallamta bihi `abdaka warasūlaka mūsabna `imrāna `alayhis salāmu fil muqaddasīn
With which You spoke to Your servant and messenger Moses son of Imran, peace be upon him, among the sanctified ones
40
فَوْقَ إِحْسَاسِ الْكَرُّوبِيِّينَ
fawqa iḥsāsil karrūbiyyīn
Above the perception of the Cherubim
41
فَوْقَ غَمَائِمِ النُّورِ
fawqa ghamā-imin nūr
Above the clouds of light
42
فَوْقَ تَابُوتِ الشَّهَادَةِ
fawqa tābūtish shahādah
Above the Ark of the Covenant
43
فِيْ عَمُودِ النَّارِ وَفِيْ طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ
fī `amūdin nāri wafī ṭūri saynā
In the pillar of fire and on Mount Sinai
44
وَفِيْ جَبَلِ حُورِيثَ
wafī jabali ḥūrīth
And on Mount Horeb
45
فِيْ الْوَادِيْ الْمُقَدَّسِ
fil wādil muqaddas
In the sacred valley
46
فِيْ الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ
fil buq`atil mubārakah
In the blessed spot
47
مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ
min jānibiṭ ṭūril aymani minash shajarah
From the right side of the Mount, from the tree
48
وَفِيْ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ بِتِسْعِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ
wafī ar-ḍi miṣra bitis`i-āyātin bayyināt
And in the land of Egypt with nine clear signs
49
وَيَوْمَ فَرَقْتَ لِبَنِيْ إِسْرَائِيلَ الْبَحْرَ
wayawma faraqta libanī isrā-īlal baḥr
And on the day You parted the sea for the Children of Israel
50
وَفِيْ الْمُنْبَجِسَاتِ الَّتِيْ صَنَعْتَ بِهَا الْعَجَائِبَ فِيْ بَحْرِ سُوفٍ
wafil munbajisātil latī ṣana`ta bihal `ajā-iba fī baḥri sūf
And in the gushing springs with which You created wonders in the Red Sea
51
وَعَقَدْتَ مَاءَ الْبَحْرِ فِيْ قَلْبِ الْغَمْرِ كَالْحِجَارَةِ
wa`aqadta mā-al baḥri fī qalbil ghamri kalḥijārah
And You held the waters of the sea in the heart of the deep like stones
52
وَجَاوَزْتَ بِبَنِيْ إِسْرَائِيلَ الْبَحْرَ
wajāwazta bibanī isrā-īlal baḥr
And You led the Children of Israel across the sea
53
وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُكَ الْحُسْنىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوْا
watammat kalimatukal ḥusnā `alayhim bimā ṣabarū
And Your good word was fulfilled for them for their patience
54
وَأَوْرَثْتَهُمْ مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا الَّتِيْ بَارَكْتَ فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ
wa-awrathtahum mashāriqal ar-ḍi wamaghāribahal latī bārakta fīhā lil`ālamīn
And You made them inherit the eastern and western parts of the land which You blessed for all people
55
وَأَغْرَقْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجُنُودَهُ وَمَرَاكِبَهُ فِيْ الْيَمِّ
wa-aghraqta fir-`awna wajunūdahu wamarākibahu fil yamm
And You drowned Pharaoh and his soldiers and his chariots in the sea
56
وَبِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ الْأَعْظَمِ
wabismikal `aẓīmil a`ẓam
And by Your Great, Greatest Name
57
اَلْأَعَزِّ الْأَجَلِّ الْأَكْرَمِ
al a`azzil ajallil akram
The Most Mighty, Most Glorious, Most Generous
58
وَبِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِيْ تَجَلَّيْتَ بِهِ لِمُوسىٰ كَلِيمِكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ فِيْ طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ
wabimajdikal ladhī tajallayta bihi limūsā kalīmika `alayhis salāmu fī ṭūri saynā
And by Your glory with which You manifested to Moses, Your interlocutor, peace be upon him, on Mount Sinai
59
وَلِإِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ خَلِيلِكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فِيْ مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ
wali-ibrāhīma `alayhis salāmu khalīlika min qablu fī masjidil khayf
And to Abraham, peace be upon him, Your friend before, in the Mosque of Al-Khayf
60
وَلِإِسْحَاقَ صَفِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ فِيْ بِئْرِ شِيَعٍ
wali-is-ḥāqa ṣafiyyika `alayhis salāmu fī bi-ri shiya`
And to Isaac, Your chosen one, peace be upon him, at the Well of Sheba
61
وَلِيَعْقُوبَ نَبِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ فِيْ بَيْتِ إِيلٍ
waliya`qūba nabiyyika `alayhis salāmu fī bayti īl
And to Jacob, Your prophet, peace be upon him, in Bethel
62
وَأَوْفَيْتَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ بِمِيثَاقِكَ
wa-awfayta li-ibrāhīma `alayhis salāmu bimīthāqik
And You fulfilled for Abraham, peace be upon him, Your covenant
63
وَلِإِسْحَاقَ بِحَلْفِكَ
wali-is-ḥāqa biḥalfik
And for Isaac Your oath
64
وَلِيَعْقُوبَ بِشَهَادَتِكَ
waliya`qūba bishahādatik
And for Jacob Your testimony
65
وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِوَعْدِكَ
walilmu-minīna biwa`dik
And for the believers Your promise
66
وَلِلدَّاعِينَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ فَأَجَبْتَ
waliddā`īna bi-asmā-ika fa-ajabt
And for those who call upon Your names, and You answered
67
وَبِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِيْ ظَهَرَ لِمُوْسَى بْنِ عِمْرَانَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ عَلَى قُبَّةِ الرُّمَّانِ
wabimajdikal ladhī ẓahara limūsabni `imrāna `alayhis salāmu `alā qubbatir rummān
And by Your glory which appeared to Moses son of Imran, peace be upon him, on the Dome of Pomegranates
68
وَبِآيَاتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَقَعَتْ عَلَى أَرْضِ مِصْرَ
wabi-āyātikal latī waqa`at `alā ar-ḍi miṣr
And by Your signs which fell upon the land of Egypt
69
بِمَجْدِ الْعِزَّةِ وَالْغَلَبَةِ
bimajdil `izzati walghalabah
By the glory of might and triumph
70
بِآيَاتٍ عَزِيزَةٍ
bi-āyātin `azīzah
With mighty signs
71
وَبِسُلْطَانِ الْقُوَّةِ
wabisulṭānil quwwah
And by the authority of power
72
وَبِعِزَّةِ الْقُدْرَةِ
wabi`izzatil qudrah
And by the might of ability
73
وَبِشَأْنِ الْكَلِمَةِ التَّامَّةِ
wabisha-nil kalimatit tāmmah
And by the grandeur of the perfect word
74
وَبِكَلِمَاتِكَ الَّتِيْ تَفَضَّلْتَ بِهَا عَلَى أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
wabikalimātikal latī tafaḍḍalta bihā `alā ahlis samāwāti wal-ar-ḍ
And by Your words with which You favored the inhabitants of the heavens and earth
75
وَأَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَأَهْلِ الْآخِرَةِ
wa-ahlid dunyā wa-ahlil-ākhirah
And the people of this world and the people of the hereafter
76
وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ مَنَنْتَ بِهَا عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ
wabiraḥmatikal latī mananta bihā `alā jamī`i khalqik
And by Your mercy which You bestowed upon all Your creation
77
وَبِاسْتِطَاعَتِكَ الَّتِيْ أَقَمْتَ بِهَا عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
wabistiṭā`atikal latī aqamta bihā `alal `ālamīn
And by Your power which You established over all worlds
78
وَبِنُوْرِكَ الَّذِيْ قَدْ خَرَّ مِنْ فَزَعِهِ طُورُ سَيْنَاءَ
wabinūrikal ladhī qad kharra min faza`ihi ṭūru saynā
And by Your light from the fear of which Mount Sinai collapsed
79
وَبِعِلْمِكَ وَجَلالِكَ وَكِبْرِيَائِكَ وَعِزَّتِكَ
wabi`ilmika wajalālika wakibriyā-ika wa`izzatik
And by Your knowledge, Your majesty, Your greatness, and Your might
80
وَجَبَرُوتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَمْ تَسْتَقِلَّهَا الْأَرْضُ
wajabarūtikal latī lam tastaqillahal ar-ḍ
And Your omnipotence which the earth cannot bear
81
وَانْخَفَضَتْ لَهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ
wankhafaḍat lahas samāwāt
And before which the heavens bow down
82
وَانْزَجَرَ لَهَا الْعُمْقُ الْأَكْبَرُ
wanzajara lahal `umqul akbar
And the greatest depth is restrained by it
83
وَرَكَدَتْ لَهَا الْبِحَارُ وَالْأَنْهَارُ
warakadat lahal biḥāru wal-anhār
And the seas and rivers become still by it
84
وَخَضَعَتْ لَهَا الْجِبَالُ
wakhaḍa`at lahal jibāl
And the mountains submit to it
85
وَسَكَنَتْ لَهَا الْأَرْضُ بِمَنَاكِبِهَا
wasakanat lahal ar-ḍu bimanākibihā
And the earth with its regions rests by it
86
وَاسْتَسْلَمَتْ لَهَا الْخَلائِقُ كُلُّهَا
wastaslamat lahal khalā-iqu kulluhā
And all creatures surrender to it
87
وَخَفَقَتْ لَهَا الرِّيَاحُ فِيْ جَرَيَانِهَا
wakhafaqat lahar riyāḥu fī jarayānihā
And the winds flutter in their flowing by it
88
وَخَمَدَتْ لَهَا النِّيرَانُ فِيْ أَوْطَانِهَا
wakhamadat lahan nīrānu fī awṭānihā
And fires are extinguished in their places by it
89
وَبِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِيْ عُرِفَتْ لَكَ بِهِ الْغَلَبَةُ دَهْرَ الدُّهُورِ
wabisulṭānikal ladhī `urifat laka bihil ghalabatu dahrad duhūr
And by Your authority by which Your supremacy is known throughout all ages
90
وَحُمِدْتَ بِهِ فِيْ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرَضِينَ
waḥumidta bihi fis samāwāti wal-araḍīn
And You are praised by it in the heavens and earths
91
وَبِكَلِمَتِكَ كَلِمَةِ الصِّدْقِ الَّتِيْ سَبَقَتْ لِأَبِينَا آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ
wabikalimatika kalimatiṣ ṣidqil latī sabaqat li-abīnā-ādama `alayhis salāmu wadhurriyyatihi birraḥmah
And by Your word, the word of truth, which preceded for our father Adam, peace be upon him, and his progeny with mercy
92
وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِكَلِمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ غَلَبَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ
wa-as-aluka bikalimatikal latī ghalabat kulla shay
And I ask You by Your word which overcame everything
93
وَبِنُوْرِ وَجْهِكَ الَّذِيْ تَجَلَّيْتَ بِهِ لِلْجَبَلِ
wabinūri wajhikal ladhī tajallayta bihi liljabal
And by the light of Your face with which You manifested to the mountain
94
فَجَعَلْتَهُ دَكًّا وَخَرَّ مُوْسَى صَعِقًا
faja`altahu dakkan wakharra mūsā ṣa`iqā
And made it crumble, and Moses fell unconscious
95
وَبِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِيْ ظَهَرَ عَلَى طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ
wabimajdikal ladhī ẓahara `alā ṭūri saynā
And by Your glory which appeared on Mount Sinai
96
فَكَلَّمْتَ بِهِ عَبْدَكَ وَرَسُولَكَ مُوْسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ
fakallamta bihi `abdaka warasūlaka mūsabna `imrān
With which You spoke to Your servant and messenger Moses son of Imran
97
وَبِطَلْعَتِكَ فِيْ سَاعِيرَ
wabiṭal`atika fī sā`īr
And by Your appearance in Seir
98
وَظُهُورِكَ فِيْ جَبَلِ فَارَانَ بِرَبَوَاتِ الْمُقَدَّسِينَ
waẓuhūrika fī jabali fārāna birabawātil muqaddasīn
And Your manifestation on Mount Paran with tens of thousands of holy ones
99
وَجُنُودِ الْمَلائِكَةِ الصَّافِّينَ
wajunūdil malā-ikatiṣ ṣāffīn
And armies of angels in ranks
100
وَخُشُوعِ الْمَلائِكَةِ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ
wakhushū`il malā-ikatil musabbiḥīn
And the humility of the glorifying angels
101
وَبِبَرَكَاتِكَ الَّتِيْ بَارَكْتَ فِيهَا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
wabibarakātikal latī bārakta fīhā `alā ibrāhīma khalīlika `alayhis salām
And by Your blessings with which You blessed Abraham, Your friend, peace be upon him
102
فِيْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
fī ummati muḥammadin ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
In the nation of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family
103
وَبَارَكْتَ لِإِسْحَاقَ صَفِيِّكَ
wabārakta li-is-ḥāqa ṣafiyyik
And You blessed Isaac, Your chosen one
104
فِيْ أُمَّةِ عِيسىٰ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلامُ
fī ummati `īsā `alayhimas salām
In the nation of Jesus, peace be upon them
105
وَبَارَكْتَ لِيَعْقُوبَ إِسْرَائِيلِكَ
wabārakta liya`qūba isrā-īlik
And You blessed Jacob, Your Israel
106
فِيْ أُمَّةِ مُوسىٰ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلامُ
fī ummati mūsā `alayhimas salām
In the nation of Moses, peace be upon them
107
وَبَارَكْتَ لِحَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
wabārakta liḥabībika muḥammadin ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālih
And You blessed Your beloved Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family
108
فِيْ عِتْرَتِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ وَأُمَّتِهِ
fī `itratihi wadhurriyyatihi wa-ummatih
In his progeny, his descendants, and his nation
109
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَكَمَا غِبْنَا عَنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَمْ نَشْهَدْهُ وَ آمَنَّا بِهِ وَلَمْ نَرَهُ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا
allāhumma wakamā ghibnā `an dhālika walam nash-had-hu wa āmannā bihi walam narahu ṣidqan wa`adlā
O Allah, as we were absent from that and did not witness it, yet believed in it without seeing it, in truth and justice
110
أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
111
وَأَنْ تُبَارِكَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
wa-an tubārika `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
And that You bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
112
وَتَرَحَّمَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
wataraḥḥama `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
And have mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
113
كَأَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ وَتَرَحَّمْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
ka-afḍali mā ṣallayta wabārakta wataraḥḥamta `alā ibrāhīma wa āli ibrāhīm
As the best of what You blessed, sanctified, and had mercy upon Abraham and the family of Abraham
114
إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
innaka ḥamīdun majīd
Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious
115
فَعَّالٌ لِمَا تُرِيدُ
fa``ālun limā turīd
Doer of whatever You intend
116
وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
wa-anta `alā kulli shay-in qadīr
And You have power over all things
You may now beseech Almighty Allah to grant you your personal requests. Then, say the following:
117
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ هٰذَا الدُّعَاءِ
allāhumma biḥaqqi hādhad du`ā
O Allah, by the right of this supplication
118
وَبِحَقِّ هٰذِهِ الْأَسْمَاءِ
wabiḥaqqi hādhihil asmā
And by the right of these names
119
اَلَّتِيْ لَا يَعْلَمُ تَفْسِيرَهَا
al latī lā ya`lamu tafsīrahā
Whose interpretation no one knows
120
وَلَا يَعْلَمُ بَاطِنَهَا غَيْرُكَ
walā ya`lamu bāṭinahā ghayruk
And whose inner meanings no one knows except You
121
صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
122
وَافْعَلْ بِيْ مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ
waf`al bī mā anta ahluh
And treat me as You are worthy of doing
123
وَلَا تَفْعَلْ بِيْ مَا أَنَا أَهْلُهُ
walā taf`al bī mā ana ahluh
And do not treat me as I deserve
124
وَاغْفِرْ لِيْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِيْ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْهَا وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ
waghfir lī min dhunūbī mā taqaddama minhā wamā ta-akhhar
And forgive my sins, past and future
125
وَوَسِّعْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ حَلالِ رِزْقِكَ
wawassi` `alayya min ḥalāli rizqik
And expand for me from Your lawful provision
126
وَاكْفِنِيْ مَؤُونَةَ إِنْسَانِ سَوْءٍ
wakfinī ma-ūnata insāni saw
And protect me from the burden of evil people
127
وَجَارِ سَوْءٍ
wajāri saw
And evil neighbors
128
وَقَرِينِ سَوْءٍ
waqarīni saw
And evil companions
129
وَسُلْطَانِ سَوْءٍ
wasulṭāni saw
And evil rulers
130
إِنَّكَ عَلَى مَا تَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
innaka `alā mā tashā-u qadīr
Indeed, You have power over whatever You will
131
وَبِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
wabikulli shay-in `alīm
And You are knowledgeable of all things
132
آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
āmīna rabbal `ālamīn
Amen, O Lord of the worlds
Sayyid Ibn Baqi in al-Misbah advises to say the following:
133
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ هٰذَا الدُّعَاءِ
allāhumma biḥaqqi hādhad du`ā
O Allah, by the right of this supplication
134
وَبِحَقِّ هٰذِهِ الْأَسْمَاءِ
wabiḥaqqi hādhihil asmā
And by the right of these names
135
اَلَّتِيْ لَا يَعْلَمُ تَفْسِيرَهَا وَلَا تَأْوِيلَهَا
al latī lā ya`lamu tafsīrahā walā ta-wīlahā
Whose interpretation and inner meaning no one knows
136
وَلَا يَعْلَمُ بَاطِنَهَا وَلَا ظَاهِرَهَا غَيْرُكَ
walā ya`lamu bāṭinahā walā ẓāhirahā ghayruk
And whose inner and outer aspects no one knows except You
137
أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
138
وَأَنْ تَرْزُقَنِيْ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
wa-an tar-zuqanī khayrad dunyā wal-ākhirah
And that You grant me the good of this world and the hereafter
You may then mention your need and continue as follows:
139
وَافْعَلْ بِيْ مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ
waf`al bī mā anta ahluh
And treat me as You are worthy of doing
140
وَلَا تَفْعَلْ بِيْ مَا أَنَا أَهْلُهُ
walā taf`al bī mā ana ahluh
And do not treat me as I deserve
141
وَانْتَقِمْ لِيْ مِنْ
wantaqim lī min
And take revenge for me against [so-and-so]
[You may here mention the name of your enemy]
142
وَاغْفِرْ لِيْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِيْ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْهَا وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ
waghfir lī min dhunūbī mā taqaddama minhā wamā ta-akhhar
And forgive my sins, past and future
143
وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِجَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
waliwālidayya walijamī`il mu-minīna walmu-mināt
And for my parents and all the believing men and women
144
وَوَسِّعْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ حَلالِ رِزْقِكَ
wawassi` `alayya min ḥalāli rizqik
And expand for me from Your lawful provision
145
وَاكْفِنِيْ مَؤُونَةَ إِنْسَانِ سَوْءٍ
wakfinī ma-ūnata insāni saw
And protect me from the burden of evil people
146
وَجَارِ سَوْءٍ
wajāri saw
And evil neighbors
147
وَسُلْطَانِ سَوْءٍ
wasulṭāni saw
And evil rulers
148
وَقَرِينِ سَوْءٍ
waqarīni saw
And evil companions
149
وَيَوْمِ سَوْءٍ
wayawmi saw
And evil days
150
وَسَاعَةِ سَوْءٍ
wasā`ati saw
And evil hours
151
وَانْتَقِمْ لِيْ مِمَّنْ يَكِيدُنِيْ
wantaqim lī mimman yakīdunī
And take revenge for me against those who plot against me
152
وَمِمَّنْ يَبْغِيْ عَلَيَّ
wamimman yabghī `alayy
And against those who oppress me
153
وَيُرِيدُ بِيْ وَبِأَهْلِيْ
wayurīdu bī wabi-ahlī
And intend harm for me and my family
154
وَأَوْلاَدِيْ وَإِخْوَانِيْ
wa-awlādī wa-ikhwānī
And my children and my brothers
155
وَجِيرَانِيْ وَقَرَابَاتِيْ
wajīrānī waqarābātī
And my neighbors and my relatives
156
مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ظُلْمًا
minal mu-minīna walmu-mināti ẓulmā
From among the believing men and women, unjustly
157
إِنَّكَ عَلَى مَا تَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
innaka `alā mā tashā-u qadīr
Indeed, You have power over whatever You will
158
وَبِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
wabikulli shay-in `alīm
And You are knowledgeable of all things
159
آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
āmīna rabbal `ālamīn
Amen, O Lord of the worlds
You may then say the following:
160
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ هٰذَا الدُّعَاءِ
allāhumma biḥaqqi hādhad du`ā
O Allah, by the right of this supplication
161
تَفَضَّلْ عَلَى فُقَرَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالْغِنىٰ وَالثَّرْوَةِ
tafaḍḍal `alā fuqarā-il mu-minīna walmu-mināti bil ghinā wath thar-wah
Bestow upon the poor among the believing men and women wealth and prosperity
162
وَعَلىٰ مَرْضَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالشِّفَاءِ وَالصِّحَّةِ
wa`alā mar-ḍal mu-minīna walmu-mināti bishhifā-i waṣ ṣiḥḥah
And upon the sick among the believing men and women healing and health
163
وَعَلىٰ أَحْيَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِاللُّطْفِ وَالْكَرَامَةِ
wa`alā aḥyā-il mu-minīna walmu-mināti billuṭfi walkarāmah
And upon the living among the believing men and women kindness and honor
164
وَعَلىٰ أَمْوَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ
wa`alā amwātil mu-minīna walmu-mināti bil maghfirati war raḥmah
And upon the deceased among the believing men and women forgiveness and mercy
165
وَعَلىٰ مُسَافِرِيْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالرَّدِّ إِلَى أَوْطَانِهِمْ سَالِمِينَ غَانِمِينَ
wa`alā musāfiril mu-minīna walmu-mināti birraddi ilā awṭānihim sālimīna ghānimīn
And upon the travelers among the believing men and women safe return to their homelands, safe and successful
166
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
biraḥmatika yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy
167
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَعِتْرَتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ
waṣallallāhu `alā sayyidinā muḥammadin khātamin nabiyyīna wa`itratihiṭ ṭāhirīn
And may Allah bless our master Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets, and his pure progeny
168
وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمًا كَثِيرًا
wasallama taslīman kathīrā
And grant them abundant peace
