1
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الْمَلِكِ الْحَقِّ الْمُبِينِ
al ḥamdu lillāhil malikil ḥaqqil mubīn
All praise is for Allah, the King, the Manifest Truth
2
اَلْمُتَصَاغِرِ لِعَظَمَتِهِ جَبَابِرَةُ الطَّاغِينَ
al mutaṣāghiri li`aẓamatihi jabābiratuṭ ṭāghīn
Before whose greatness the tyrants humble themselves
3
اَلْمُعْتَرِفِ بِرُبُوبِيَّتِهِ جَمِيعُ أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرَضِينَ
al mu`tarifi birubūbiyyatihi jamī`u ahlis samāwāti wal-araḍīn
To whose Lordship all inhabitants of the heavens and earths bear witness
4
اَلْمُقِرِّ بِتَوْحِيدِهِ سَائِرُ الْخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِينَ
al muqirri bitawḥīdihi sā-irul khalqi ajma`īn
To whose Oneness all creation unanimously testifies
5
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلٰى سَيِّدِ الْأَنَامِ
waṣallallāhu `alā sayyidil anām
And may Allah's blessings be upon the Master of all creation
6
وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الْكِرَامِ
wa-ahli baytihil kirām
And upon his noble household
7
صَلاةً تَقَرُّ بِهَا أَعْيُنُهُمْ
ṣalātan taqarru bihā a`yunuhum
Blessings that bring joy to their eyes
8
وَيَرْغَمُ بِهَا أَنْفُ شَانِئِهِمْ
wayar-ghamu bihā anfu shāni-ihim
And humiliate those who hate them
9
مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
minal jinni wal-insi ajma`īn
From among all jinn and mankind
10
سَلامُ اللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
salāmullāhil `aliyyil `aẓīm
Peace from Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent
11
وَسَلامُ مَلَائِكَتِهِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
wasalāmu malā-ikatihil muqarrabīn
And peace from His close angels
12
وَأَنْبِيَائِهِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
wa-anbiyā-ihil mur-salīn
And His sent prophets
13
وَأَئِمَّتِهِ الْمُنْتَجَبِينَ
wa-a-immatihil muntajabīn
And His chosen Imams
14
وَعِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
wa`ibādihiṣ ṣāliḥīn
And His righteous servants
15
وَجَمِيْعِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ
wajamī`ish shuhadā-i waṣ ṣiddīqīn
And all the martyrs and the truthful ones
16
وَالزَّاكِيَاتُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ
waz zākiyātuṭ ṭayyibāt
And pure, good blessings
17
فِيمَا تَغْتَدِيْ وَتَرُوحُ
fīmā taghtadī watarūḥ
In their coming and going
18
عَلَيْكَ يَا مُسْلِمَ بْنَ عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِيْ طَالِبٍ
`alayka yā muslimabna `aqīlibni abī ṭālib
Upon you, O Muslim ibn Aqil ibn Abi Talib
19
وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
waraḥmatullāhi wabarakātuh
And Allah's mercy and blessings
20
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَقَمْتَ الصَّلاةَ
ash-hadu annaka aqamtaṣ ṣalāh
I bear witness that you established prayer
21
وَ آتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ
wa ātaytaz zakāh
And gave the prescribed charity
22
وَأَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ
wa-amar-ta bil ma`rūf
And enjoined good
23
وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
wanahayta `anil munkar
And forbade evil
24
وَجَاهَدْتَ فِيْ اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
wajāhadta fillāhi ḥaqqa jihādih
And strived in the way of Allah with true striving
25
وَقُتِلْتَ عَلٰى مِنْهَاجِ الْمُجَاهِدِيْنَ فِيْ سَبِيلِهِ
waqutilta `alā minhājil mujāhidīna fī sabīlih
And were killed following the path of those who struggle in His cause
26
حَتَّىٰ لَقِيتَ اللّٰهَ عَزَّوَجَلَّ وَهُوَ عَنْكَ رَاضٍ
ḥattā laqītallāha `azzawajalla wahuwa `anka rāḍ
Until you met Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, while He was pleased with you
27
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ وَفَيْتَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ
wa-ash-hadu annaka wafayta bi`ahdillāh
And I bear witness that you fulfilled Allah's covenant
28
وَبَذَلْتَ نَفْسَكَ فِيْ نُصْرَةِ حُجَّةِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ حُجَّتِهِ
wabadhalta nafsaka fī nuṣrati ḥujjatillāhi wabni ḥujjatih
And sacrificed yourself in support of Allah's proof and the son of His proof
29
حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ الْيَقِينُ
ḥattā atākal yaqīn
Until certainty came to you
30
أَشْهَدُ لَكَ بِالتَّسْلِيمِ وَالْوَفَاءِ
ash-hadu laka bittaslīmi walwafā
I testify to your submission and loyalty
31
وَالنَّصِيحَةِ لِخَلَفِ النَّبِيِّ الْمُرْسَلِ
wan naṣīḥati likhalafin nabiyyil mur-sal
And sincerity to the successor of the sent Prophet
32
وَالسِّبْطِ الْمُنْتَجَبِ
was sibṭil muntajab
And the chosen grandson
33
وَالدَّلِيلِ الْعَالِمِ
wad dalīlil `ālim
And the knowledgeable guide
34
وَالْوَصِيِّ الْمُبَلِّغِ
walwaṣiyyil muballigh
And the communicating successor
35
وَالْمَظْلُومِ الْمُهْتَضَمِ
walmaẓlūmil muhtaḍam
And the oppressed, the wronged one
36
فَجَزَاكَ اللَّهُ عَنْ رَسُولِهِ
fajazākallāhu `an rasūlih
May Allah reward you on behalf of His Messenger
37
وَعَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wa`an amīril mu-minīn
And on behalf of the Commander of the Faithful
38
وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ
wa`anil ḥasani walḥusayn
And on behalf of Hasan and Husayn
39
أَفْضَلَ الْجَزَاءِ
afḍalal jazā
With the best of rewards
40
بِمَا صَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ وَأَعَنْتَ
bimā ṣabar-ta waḥtasabta wa-a`ant
For your patience, seeking reward, and assistance
41
فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
fani`ma `uqbad dār
How excellent is the final abode
42
لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ
la`anallāhu man qatalak
May Allah curse those who killed you
43
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِكَ
wala`anallāhu man amara biqatlik
And may Allah curse those who ordered your killing
44
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ
wala`anallāhu man ẓalamak
And may Allah curse those who oppressed you
45
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنِ افْتَرىٰ عَلَيْكَ
wala`anallāhu maniftarā `alayk
And may Allah curse those who fabricated lies against you
46
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ جَهِلَ حَقَّكَ
wala`anallāhu man jahila ḥaqqak
And may Allah curse those who were ignorant of your rights
47
وَاسْتَخَفَّ بِحُرْمَتِكَ
wastakhaffa biḥur-matik
And violated your sanctity
48
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ بَايَعَكَ وَغَشَّكَ
wala`anallāhu man bāya`aka waghashhak
And may Allah curse those who pledged allegiance to you then deceived you
49
وَخَذَلَكَ وَأَسْلَمَكَ
wakhadhalaka wa-aslamak
And abandoned you and surrendered you
50
وَمَنْ أَلَّبَ عَلَيْكَ وَلَمْ يُعِنْكَ
waman allaba `alayka walam yu`ink
And those who incited against you and did not help you
51
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ النَّارَ مَثْوَاهُمْ
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī ja`alan nāra mathwāhum
Praise be to Allah who made the Fire their abode
52
وَبِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُودُ
wabi-sal wir-dul mawrūd
And what an evil destination to arrive at
53
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قُتِلْتَ مَظْلُومًا
ash-hadu annaka qutilta maẓlūmā
I bear witness that you were killed unjustly
54
وَأَنَّ اللّٰهَ مُنْجِزٌ لَكُمْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ
wa-annallāha munjizun lakum mā wa`adakum
And that Allah will fulfill what He promised you
55
جِئْتُكَ زَائِرًا عَارِفًا بِحَقِّكُمْ
ji-tuka zā-iran `ārifan biḥaqqikum
I have come to you as a visitor, recognizing your rights
56
مُسَلِّمًا لَكُمْ
musalliman lakum
Submitting to you
57
تَابِعًا لِسُنَّتِكُمْ
tābi`an lisunnatikum
Following your way
58
وَنُصْرَتِيْ لَكُمْ مُعَدَّةٌ
wanuṣratī lakum mu`addah
And my support for you is ready
59
حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِيْنَ
ḥattā yaḥkumallāhu wahuwa khayrul ḥākimīn
Until Allah judges, and He is the best of judges
60
فَمَعَكُمْ مَعَكُمْ
fama`akum ma`akum
So I am with you, with you
61
لاَمَعَ عَدُوِّكُمْ
lāma`a `aduwwikum
Not with your enemies
62
صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
ṣalawātullāhi `alaykum
May Allah's blessings be upon you
63
وَعَلٰى أَرْوَاحِكُمْ وَأَجْسَادِكُمْ
wa`alā ar-wāḥikum wa-ajsādikum
And upon your souls and bodies
64
وَشَاهِدِكُمْ وَغَائِبِكُمْ
washāhidikum waghā-ibikum
And those of you present and absent
65
وَالسَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
was salāmu `alaykum waraḥmatullāhi wabarakātuh
And peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings
66
قَتَلَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْ بِالْأَيْدِيْ وَالْأَلْسُنِ
qatalallāhu ummatan qatalatkum bil aydī wal-alsun
May Allah destroy the people who killed you with their hands and tongues
